First of all, MS doesn't have the source codes for games that they don't own. Second, the emulation doesn't work for all games so the emulation software must be tailored to EACH game. Third, they can't just add any games to the Xbox One because of licensing issues. Most games MS doesn't own so they can't just add as BC if the publishers don't agree. The original games were licensed to run on the real X360 not emulated X360, so they have to get permissions from publ...
It wasn't revealed according to the article. There's a "source" that they had at that time, but Sony did not reveal anything officially, except for PS3 would be on PS Now.
Look how positive this PS2 emulation is on n4g and in general. They once told the next gen consoles are for next gem games not old X360 and yet the PS2 is two gen old. Not only that, most likely, the games won't be free to those who already own the games.
No Sony ads go showing multiplat games then show a few games that are exclusive to Sony and then ending it with Exclusive on PS4. Yah.... trying to trick people into think the multiplat games are exclusive.
You've to realize though Halo was launched on October 27, 2015, giving it just 5 days in the month for new buyers.
If that's the case, then you would expect the PS4 flagship game UC4 MP to have dedicated servers. But nope! Sony is very good at taking PS+ money but not investing it back into its servers.
The box probably handles:
-3D positional audio
-3D spatial environmental scanning
-120 Hz reprojection
-Video splitting for two eyes
All of these takes a lot of power. Even audio takes a lot of CPU power hence audio is often offloaded to dedicated hardware.
Like the PS Vita?
Run at 30 fps instead of 60 fps should help a lot. See DriveClub.
Xbox gamers have been vocal about FRAME RATE not resolution. H5 is achieving a locked 60 fps at sacrifice of resolution.
Said somwone who called XB1 as xbone. Maybe I should start calling PS4 as P$4.
Timed exclusive for one year.
Did you get lost and stumbled into n4g from neogaf?
You can but the music app must be snapped to the side so you'll loose about 25% of the screen for gaming. What people want is full background music, and it's taking forever to implement.
They have reversed two things:
1) 24 hour internet check
2) Mandatory Kinect bundle with XB
Actually there are a bunch of Sony fanboys claiming MS will raise licensing fees, will ban licensing, or just make it exclusive to MS... not the other way around.
Yes because buying a physics software to augment Crackdown 3 is an end to Xbox. Is that like Sony buying Gaikai is an end to PS4?
Your comment is pointless because it's up to 12. You are hard to pleased. Add in a feature that's highly requested by XB1 fans mean bragging. Don't add it and MS is always playing catch up.
They got RoTR wrong in their technical analysis saying it doesn't have PBR for material and lighting when the developer himself confirmed PBR and even more special lighting. Yet, DF so far hasn't even fixed theor error. So much for integrity.
So PS2 on PS4 is pointless too, which you've to buy again, btw?
