It can't any bigger than the PS4 Pro at 310W. MS still has at least another 6 months before production start and using Zen will reduce the power consumption significantly.
4.2 TF Polaris vs 6 TF (rumored Vega)
217 GB/s vs 320 GB/s
8 core Jaguar vs rumored 8 core Zen
8 GB GDDR5 vs rumored 12 GB GDDR5
$399 vs. ???? (going to be expensive)
Of course the rumored CPU & memory have nothing to substantiate but if MS is really targeting native 4K then they'll need the CPU & memory.
4K streaming takes about 20-30 GB of data per hour. People will reach their data cap very quickly and it's ironic that this was problem in 2013 but 3 years later the Internet issue is no longer a problem. Suddenly everyone can stream 4K video.
So amazing that they can't get BC to run.
Software could enable it but the XB1S retail box had 4K and UHD BluRay ads on it. The PS4 Slim retail box had none of these details.
If the spec is right:
No 4K UHD bluray UHD
No HDR (HDR10 or Dobly Vision)
No 4K game upscale
No 4K video output
No BC
No optical out
No performance improvement whatsoever
=======
But you know what, because of the brand, it deserves a 90! Yet the XB1S got a NEGATIVE for not having Dolby Vision while the PS4 Slim has neither. Yeah this "review" is just BS.
How can anyone downvote fact? Oh I forgot it's n4g.
Sony is SO on top of their game that they intentionally leaked the PS4 Slim to actual people and then send copyright to YouTube and anyone mentioning PS4 Slim. They're certainly on top of their game.
You're revising history. MS wanted 8GB of DDR3 + eSRAM from the beginning. Sony gambled with 4GB of GDDR5 and it was increased a result of developer feedback. Sony was also fortunate that there were higher density GDDR5 chip in time for the mass manufacturing. Unless of course all of these stories are elaborate tricks that Sony played.

Unlike PS4, for one price I can choose to play the same game on my Xbox or PC depending on my mood and location. But I know PS4 is for the players though.
$60 for a lot of stuff missing. That makes sense.
1080p/60 + shit ton more graphics > 4K/30.
Scorpio will be designed by the Surface team led by Panos who designed the HoloLens, Surface Pro 4, and the Surface Book. It'll look just as stunning.
What you said makes no sense. Games moving forward are backward and forward compatible with Xbox One, Xbox One S and Project Scorpio. There's absolutely NO reason whatsoever to create a new operating system or coding language. MS made it a goal to make the Game OS transparent to the system as everything is virtualized. There's no need to reinvent the wheel with x86 architecture running on HyperV with Windows 10 and Game OS on top.
What about the PS4 requiring a day-one patch to use the original DVD & blu-ray? Should there be a disclaimer there too? That's even worst considering DVD & blu-ray started with the PS3. I can see 4K BluRay requiring a software update since it's relatively new and only recently have you started seeing standalone 4K players.

Lol no that's not how it works at all. There's something call "critical time to market". They determine that was after June 14 announcement that Aug 2 is when the shipping arrives from the pre-order. So that time span is about 47 days. If they waited until the 4K software is ready then you've to receive the product no earlier than Sept 19.
So do you want console with 4K enable in Sept 19 or Aug 2 + day-one patch?
What about games th...
Ssshhh it's only drop the ball again when it comes to MS.
Do you want the console later this year like Oct 2016 with the latest software?
Or do you want August 2, 2016 of this year + day-one patch?
Sure you could want 4K enable NOW + delivery in Aug 2, 2016 but that wasn't possible otherwise they would've done it. They wanted to deliver the console as soon as possible since announcing in June 14 at E3. So do you want it to be shipped in October? The outage would be MS can't mange to announce and ship...
They expect you to do a day one patch like most games these days. It's either you wait until Oct 2016 to get the product shipped with the "latest" software with 4K enabled or you get it in Aug 2, 2016 that requires a 5GB day-one patch. I personally choose the later since it's just maybe 1 hr of downloading for me instead of waiting 60 more days.
I have no idea how the Scorpio will split the user base like you imply or adding additional costs. MS has been very clear about dynamic resolution and even dynamic performance. Just take a look at Forza Apex on how this is done. Everything scales dynamically depending on what you value most. Resolution, graphics, or fps? Then take a look at how Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox Scorpio are ALL one family of Xbox. All of them are forward and backward compatible obviously except for VR only games....
