Just because vehicles are involved doesn't mean the game isn't a platformer. What is the difference in walking around a world and driving there? Actually, a 10% margin of error on 80K is not that big of a deal. I guarantee you that anything NPD puts out is statistically no better than +-5%. I don't know NPD's confidence levels they shoot for in their statistical methods but I'd be willing to bet that it is to reach a sales number that is +- 5% of actual at a 95% confidence ratio.

Framerate is the real key and if the framerate is solid, these little differences in graphics are irrelevant. Period. On the Wii for pushing the hardware to do come cool things, but no "game engine" can create raw number crunching capability that comes from a beefy cpu/gpu combination. The Wii simply doesn't have the hardware to do it. I applaud their efforts especially since current Wii games aren't looking any better than the PS2 for the most part and we know it has quite a bit more power than that...

As a standalone... I've got 4 wii controllers and will have to buy at least two. This really pisses me off as a Wii owner as I bought the wii expecting them to have used better technology in the controller.
