There are already compression algorithms out there. They use it for video, audio, images, and other things. A decent algorithm already reduces the size of images by 85% with very little noticeable lack of quality. If they're claiming they've improved on those algorithms by 70%, then I'll have to see an image that is compressed to 95% of the original and doesn't look blocky as hell. Let's see some before and after pics, shouldn't be too hard to produce if they're telling the truth.
We all knew the reason rumble was dropped was the immersion patent lawsuit. In my opinion this statement confirms it.
Well, the 360 does get the advantage of having an external power supply.
Sony is, by and large, a hardware manufacturing company (tvs, game consoles, computers, movie players, etc). I think it's fairly safe to assume they know how to produce a large amount of electronics very fast. They still won't satisfy demand (no one does at launch) but they'll be able to make them.
Oh, you mean Baghdad Bob. Yep, he was quite the comedic figure.
How about the psone and ps2? Weren't those the two most successful videogame consoles in history or am I somehow terribly mistaken?
When was the company's stock at $120. I don't remember it being higher than $60 since 2002, and its been on the rise, essentially, since mid 2003.
I can't really see this happening soon. I still think consumers want something tangible, and I think they'll be reluctant to adopt digital distribution (I know I prefer discs on consoles).
The adaptor price doesn't seem so bad, except we'll probably see it at $15-20 over here. And the $40 for a controller is just as bad as Nintendo, and $10 better than Microsoft. I hope they put 2 controllers in the box, I hate having to buy an extra one on the first day.
An attach rate of 50% would be ridiculous. Even Halo didn't achieve that.
The sites pretty funny, but its not like the other consoles' fanboys haven't done stuff just as funny. Remember that Wii vs ps3 commercial, or that "Revolution" music video. Those were pretty good. The "Sony Defense Force" name is pretty inaccurate though. It should either be "Sony Fanboy Force," or the "Microsoft Haters Brigade." They don't really do much defending.
They should have been this cheap to begin with. They are lower quality than dvds and they fit more of a niche market. No one wants to pay full price for crap like that.
What?
First, most games released in Japan never see the light of day stateside. These are the games that are popular in Japan. It's not like the games that we hate are the games they like, like you claim. The xbox saw very few Japanese oriented games, and these were released only sporadically over the course of its short lifecycle. The 360 could see the same problems. If only a few games (Enchanted Arms, Lost Planet, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey) are released that appeal to t...
Why do you have so much experience with whores?
You probably would care when they implement copyright protection on next gen discs, and your resolution is suddenly lower because of not having an hdmi port.
How about a survival horror type of game, except instead of zombies, vampires, or other monsters sneaking up on you, it's the king like in those commercials.
You play as a young boy, Tommy, who somehow gets lost in the Burger Kingdom for some stupid reason. You must hide from the Burger King, lest he capture you, lock you in his Burger Dungeon, and make you his sex slave...because, you know, the king is definitely some sort of pedophile, I think...just look at that creepy &quo...
The reviews for the game weren't that great, so buyer beware.
It didn't become the top handheld, but it did get a significant market share, and the ds was different enough that the psp can survive by remaining in indirect competition with it. Hardcore handheld gamers probably went for the psp because of the graphics, but casual handheld gamers (a vast majority and myself included) went for the ds. The psp was more successful than any other handheld that had challenged Nintendo in the past, and it will probably continue to survive because there are thi...
Are they making a Zune variation thats like a nano? I'm only really interested in something that I can have on me while I'm running.
Doesn't Resistance already have a working online mode? Isn't this all just speculation?
When it comes to Madden, people don't really have a choice. EA's exclusive contract with the NFL crushed all the competition they got from the 2k series (which was usually better, even if it sold less).
