Not even a taste of what they are working on? Come on... at least a hint... Maybe that reference to South Sea's torture was a hint?
Rise of the Argonauts is one game I think will surprise people. It looks very polished and the fighting looked very cool. I'm going with that one as a sleeper hit.
Darksiders: Wrath of War also has alot of potential, but I haven't seen enough gameplay just yet.
Is he British and does twat mean the same as it does in the States?
Where'd that game come from? Set to release in August, I've never heard of it.
Is that David Duchovney lending a hand?
Cool, but the patch is on the wrong eye :(
I don't understand why any developer would sink money into developing for the iPhone in lieu of the DS or PSP. They are estimating about 15,000,000 sales of the iPhone by end of '08. Compare that to over 40,000,000 PSP's in that same timeframe and close to 90,000,000 DS's.
Take that 15,000,000 and how many are gamers? How many really want a game on their phone? Anyone who owns a DS or PSP DOES want games or they wouldn't have bought a gaming machine.
I don't mind in game advertising unless it is forced on you. If it's just a billboard, fine with me. There was an article about being able to shoot up a billboard from an advertiser in game. I don't recall which game had that, but I think that is ingenious. It gets you to look at their product even if you are blowing it away.
In this day and age of TiVo/DVRs, advertisers must be scrambling to get your eyes on their ads. I rarely watch TV ads, just FF on by them.
Not sure this article made the point it was trying to make. Sure the Wii is casual, don't need a new article to tell us that. The other half of the argument centered around the new 360 dashboard redesign and avatars. That doesn't tell me hardcores are left out in the cold. There's TONS of games coming out in the next 5 months for hardcores. More quality games then ever before. E3 was a bit of a disappointment because nothing really new was announced, but all the '08 goodness was shown. ...
They are letting a big marketing opportunity go by if they don't get these to McD's.
Hey Baby, wanna play with my Wii?
I'll at least rent it. Sounds like fun. I get a kick out of those action hack and slash. Conan was a guilty pleasure... well except for those annoying boss battles, and Vikings was alot of visceral fun. Oh and don't forget No More Heroes :)
I don't know, but some of the purple coin challenges in SMG challenged my mental health. That d@mn ghost race...I'll get you Boo, pass me at the end will ya, just wait, you just wait argghhh....... I need my medication. Where's my Wii pill popper?
I like R&C and I would get it for sure, but I'm hoping they have yet a 3rd IP in the works.
Insomniac needs some kind of an award. I've never seen a company of their size so productive. Even companies alot bigger aren't that productive.
I just want to save the game and go to bed but I have to listen to Mei Ling tell me why the fox chases the rabbit and why I should be the fox on the battelfield unless I want to be a rabbit, but I'm really a snake... ugh
I can't believe they were going down that path of oh, just copy things off or delete them and then redownload them when you want to again. Besides you only play one game at a time, so you don't need it around.
If that isn't some marketing spin I don't know what is.
While that is true, you also have more access to info and know day to day the latest news. Before the internet it could be described as ignorance is bliss. You didn't know what others had, so it didn't bother you. I don't think attitudes/desires changed, just better access to info.
Actually, there are 16 button presses, but I agree comparing button presses is silly. The PS360 controller is very intimidating to non gamers. The Wii is a natural.
Raise your hand if you own only a PS3. Now keep your hand up if you hope with all your might that Too Human flops worse than Haze did. Raise your hand if you own a 360. Keep it up if you are thrilled that Haze was raked across the coals.
The point being the quality/legacy of a console doesn't just end after day of purchase like most consumer devices. Consoles depend on software to prove their worth over time. Software is directly dependent on how well the console sells and...
Hmmm... interesting. I didn't know they had coop in Eden. At first I had no idea what I was doing in the demo, then it started to grow on me (no pun intended) and by the end I had played the demo for like 3 hours and had alot of fun.
Might try and get my wife to coop. She seemed mildly interested when I was playing it which is a first for just about any game.
