GH 4 will allow you to make your own music and upload it. I imagine once talented people have that in their hands pretty much everything will find its way onto the net.
I may have to spring for it this fall. The drum set looks pretty awesome and is supposed to be velocity sensitive with cymbal pads in the correct spot.
I found his 1 minute on the Russian space thing rather dull actually. I guess it's neat to know, but wish he would talk about things more topical to games and his vast experience.
There's alot of crap games because there was a knee jerk reaction by alot of publishers to get something out there since the Wii was such a big hit. They scrambled to throw together party/mini games and to port over games that did well on other platforms but not so good portwise, plus they wanted to get something in front of the casual gamers that they might bite on.
I think this trend will slow down as the Wii is more established and publishers are finding that not all crap s...
So I guess I should stop using mine as a TV tray. Nothing worse than scraping cheese out of the USB port.
Deadly Creatures is an intriguing title.
I don't think I've ever agreed with a BruceOnGames article and that trend continues.
It's one thing to have thoughtful opinions even if they disagree with the majority. I can respect someone giving a solid argument on why hardcore gaming is dead, but Bruce just rattles off with nothing to back up his statements. Just mere conjecture and not solid at that.
Right, those are very good thought out points.
It will be interesting to see when Home comes out and Sony continues to up the ante on their service, how MS will react. Either MS winds up dropping or reducing the cost or they keep adding more content/services to justify their expense. In either case it is only good for the consumer.
I would have thought as time went on more and more devs would migrate to the same engine, but that doesn't appear to be the case. More devs create their engine at the start of the new console gen and then reuse it within their company or even within companies via the same publisher (CoD4 and 5 for instance). This means for some devs, the next wave of games will already have an engine in place and the devs can focus on the gameplay. For alot of devs they are in this position where they have...
I'm going to wager that the first thing the community shouts about is the fact you can't import music/images without using the Eyetoy. I realize this is probably due to copyright issues, but I think there will be alot of pressure to figure out a solution to this.
Not super impressed is a nice way of saying they hated it.
Titntin - I agree and disagree all at the same time :)
The analogy to Apple and Amazon is not the same as what MS is providing. Amazon wants you to visit their site for the sole purpose of buying a product from them. Any community features such as forums/comments/book lists, etc are there purely to lure you to their site to buy something.
Live provides products to purchase but that is not the main goal. They also provide free demos/downloads, online play, acce...
She can tomb my raider.
Ok, that made very little sense, but that's the extent of my vocabulary.
They also list Rise of the Argonauts for PC and PS3 but not for 360.
I love playing RPG's on the handheld, especially SRPG's that don't rely so much on graphics/sound to impress. It's much easier playing them in bed or when I'm supposed to be working (ahem) or out of the house. Don't get me wrong, some RPG's work better on the console, so there is a mix.
Batman can be released at any time. It doesn't have to coincide with a movie. It has enough appeal to stand on its own. That being said, they missed the movie window anyway, so take your time and do it right. An open world Batman game could be really awesome if done correctly.
I don't get the MH3 argument that the production costs are too high. MH3 is a franchise that is guaranteed to make you money, so if anything it is a sure bet. I haven't played any MH game so I can't...
Not true at all. I moved out of my mom's place 2 weeks ago.
Lol. That was pretty funny.
Just don't get too close to the cages.
yeah, that's a little strange because I can just use the Eyetoy to get a shot of copyrighted material.
If I didn't have kids, I wouldn't find the Wii so intriguing. As it is, my kids love to play the games on it and there are a few winners like SSBB, Mario Galaxy, NMH and we play all the Lego games coop.
Same can be said for the DS vs the PSP. My kids play their DS's to death, but the PSP is more my speed (although there are a few nice DS titles).
If the person signed an NDA, I would hope they would show respect to Insomniac and honor that NDA. Insomniac is a well respected developer and gives more back to the gaming community than anyone else. Shame to take advantage of them.
