It was totally sold out as Best Buy and I don't recall any game sold out at Best Buy

I think Sony does good ads in general. The black octupus morphing thingy was/is pretty neat.
They are running a Motorstorm ad now during sporting events where guys jump out of a plane on their respective vehicles.

Gamecock needs to make a name for itself other than the current joke they are of the publishing industry. I realize it is hard as a first time publisher to land the high end development companies, but what they have put out hasn't done too well or received much reviewwise. I hope VA does well. It has some potential from what I have seen.

In any case, MS is and has always been an aggressive company. Sure 3rd party exclusives are shrinking, so they found a way with DLC to get an extra edge. Sony should reevaluate and start paying for content on their end.

I'm intrigued by the game. Nothing they have shown me looks disappointing. I'd rather Lara go to the Underworld and defeat a God then shoot some same old same old enemy over and over. At least the game takes you to new places and does new things. I played Uncharted and it was a great game, but all I shot were pirates in the jungle (save for one scene that I don't want to spoil).

hey Ex, I know how you feel. I have similar stack staring there laughing at me. My biggest fear though is to get a game and have to wait so long that by the time I get to it it is selling for $39.99 instead of the $59.99 I grabbed it at :(
At least with these new titles and their popularity, they won't be dropping in price any time soon.
Although, I did do a double take when I saw Dark Sector for $19.99 at Best Buy new. That game came out in April even though...

Sorry, but how would you expect people on the internet to take that? I like how the author blames the internet for blowing things out of proportion. Maybe blame the author of the review for not explaining that poorly means slighly worse.
As a consumer I would want to know that the game is broken before buying it. Why should Gamespot wait until it is fixed? It's a released game, should have been fixed or not released.
With the logic of this article, you could never review an MMO as those constantly change.
Now I do agree Gamespot should revisit when the game is fixed down the road, but should they be obligated to do that?
I like the direction Far Cry 2 is taking the FPS. Even if it seems to have a few hiccups it is going to a more open world with numerous ways to approach a task. I hope this trend continues.

Surprisingly, more banter about race issues has come up with RE5 than the current election.
It seems like the press has made more of a deal of RE5 then gamers have.

How many shoppers at Target are in there to steal? I'll bet the numbers are similar to the low numbers this articles suggests are using custom firmware and getting free games, but does Target still have security cameras and in store cops?
You can't justify by saying the numbers are small and Sony should just ignore it and not attempt to add more security. If they ignore it it means they condone or don't care about it, which they do.
First official review? I don't imagine that person was old enough to play M rated games by the text of that review.
