Oh Peter, sometimes it is better to not say anything at all.
It's like having a spot on your shirt that no one really notices, but you go to a party and ask everyone if the spot stands out, does the spot look bad, do you think the spot can be removed. Just stop talking and go on with the party.
How good is the multiplayer :) I'm just kidding.
The one fear I had for this game is trudging through monotonous corridors doing the same thing over and over. It seems that might not be the case which sounds like a good thing.
I'll grab a fresh box of Depends and pick it up when it comes out.
What kind of story is this?
I went to work for Nintendo and they told me to work on something I can't say much more, but I said are you serious and they said yeah.
That's pretty much the extent of the article.
Maybe tomorrow we can hear about his first trip to the Nintendo bathrooms.
What purpose does this show serve? How many different shows can you have, especially since E3 was already in LA?
You've got
GDC
E3
Pax
Liepzig GS
TGS
E for All
E3, Liepzig and TGS all serve a purpose being "the show" to attend in each major region of the world.
GDC was supposed to be for developers and morphed into a commercial show.
Pax was a result of the Penny Arcade and evolved...
"We want the Wii to be the gaming console, and I think that’s not just pretty graphics; it’s great gameplay and pretty graphics, and great audio, and great storytelling, and a great multiplayer experience… we’re trying to pull all that together, and it’s a lot of work."
I guess that depends on who you expect to target. Obviously, this game targets the hardcore and I just don't see the Wii becoming the console over the PS360 for the hardcore crowd. The Wii is fun for...
This game can be ruined by repetitivness. Hopefully, there is more to it then jumping from building to building. That will be fun for a while, but not a 10-12 hour game.
"with QTE combat to die for."
Ugh, I hate QTE's. I'm hoping they go the way of the dinosaurs here real soon.
Hope this plays on the 80GB. I haven't hit a PS2 game yet that hasn't.
Tomb Raider doesn't feel like a DLC type of game. RPG's like Oblivion and Fallout make sense. You are building up your character, taking on side missions and all that good stuff, but in something like TR, what would the DLC add to the game? It can't change the basic story. I don't know if I want to go climbing some extra mountain in the game that is not part of the main story.
I'll be renting ALOT. Just can't keep up with all the great releases. I still seriously have not played all the games I picked up last holiday season. Of course owning all 3 consoles and both handhelds doesn't help either :(
:) Have to be politically correct.
or Obama and Biden for you Republicans ;)
Every platform is going to kick booty this holiday season. The only platform that might be a little down come December is being led by McCain and Palin.
The question shouldn't be is it 60fps. The question should be does it ever lag due to processing? If the answer is no, then I don't care what the fps comes in at. In fact, I would argue that teams aren't taking their game to its full potential if they are at 60 fps. They could apply more processing power to improve the game. As long as the most intensive section doesn't lag, you are good to go.
Rumors from unknown tipsters is now news? The unknown person could be a maniac.
Now see there you go baiting Silogon into using his last bubble. Shame on you. He's on his way down to half a bubble. The system will just auto send any comment he types when he gets a few words in:
This <game of the week> sucks, I hate it. The colors suck, the controller mapping sucks. The <comment sent>
Not sure what Epic is thinking. A casual game does not equal a hardcore game that is easy. A casual game is a different beast altogher. Gears is the epitome of a hardcore game and has very little appeal to those not into that scene even if you dumb down the enemies and set it to wussy level.
Dance with who brung ya and for Epic that is hardcore shooters.
Besides, didn't CliffyB recently make statements along the lines of Epic is hardcore and that's what they d...
She went from super sl*t to super mom and back again (fingers crossed).
One day you see her in Playboy, a few years later she is on Oprah talking about baby spit.
"developers delayed it into 2008 so that the game could be rethought and add in waggle"
I always think when developers are talking about incorporating waggle or motion into the game that might not really need it that they are looking for a problem to go with their solution. Some games are built around it: Boom Blox. Some games don't need it: SSBB.
Quality games are starting to show up. For the last few months games kept falling short of the bar. It seemed there were only a few quality titles since summer time after alot of hype. Now the cream is starting to rise to the top. Far Cry 2, Dead Space, LBP are all getting good grades. I'm sure Fallout 3, Fable 2 and a handful of others will be right up there.
