I agree with this, even when people disagree the community here is mostly respectful and sometimes on a good day when the planets align just right a descent c conversation can be had here.

We will see which strategy pays off.

Releasing less consoles in more regions in a bid to work up hype and demand or releasing many systems in a few regions to ensure your readily available to larger numbers of people in one place.

It's gonna be an interesting gen.

Entitled to, that is a very interesting choice of words. When I pay for something I expect to be able to use it, if something is sold as unlimited then my expectation is that it is unlimited... that is not an entitlement thats an expectation that services paid for will be rendered unhindered.

Your right though, tiered internet wont stop everyone being able to stream media online or game but the added expense will definitely deter some from the hobby, maybe enough that it wil...

I agree with you completely, in regard the physical games I personally dont see them going away. Isp are trying to switch to a tiered data service meaning those who use more pay more. Digital media wasnt counting on the internet getting that much more expensive in the next couple of years. Expect disks to stick around.

as for the youtube thing... yeah it sucks but I honestly can't see an out, outside of people doing it for free instead of it being monetized

I dont know if calling them evil and us good is necessarily fair. This issue to me seems to be driven by the bureaucracy types on the artists and I think its more to cover their own butts from lawsuits on the youtube side.

its crap and no one likes it but im pretty sure there isnt much that can change it

This is the type of device that would make kinect and xbox one worth it to me personally... if the sharks wont back it then will we see any innovation that makes kinect worth while at all? In regard to playing games I mean.

I want online priced as it was 2 years ago. If it becomes priced the way isp want it will be to expensive to be practical. Even with a 2nd income in the homestead

Access to affordable internet is a huge issue for gamers all over the world not just china. In america internet service providers are strongly looking to charge for the internet by the gigabyte with tiered plans and overage fees. Considering how digital gaming and other media for that matter is looking to become such internet plans could limit the medium horribly.

Streaming content and having the cloud enhance gaming would be awesome, if internet service providers and cable companies were not trying to make the internet a pay for what you use service it wouldnt be so bad but they are trying to sell the internet by the gigabyte

unless companies make using a lot of gigs of data a month cheap the future of gaming will be offline

Monsoru,

Actually im trying to make my point in such a way that I dont get labeled a sony fanboy.

I feel that microsoft not only screwed over their fanbase by including kinect as a manditory buy but I feel that their buisness practices ane online focus are damning to gaming as a whole. But I try not to let my bias cloud my comments

I mentioned ryse because it was the game that microsoft used to show off its console and now it isnt, now it has become titanfall im sorry that one went over your head so easily.

im not trying to antagonize im merely stating my opinion may I suggest that next time you read one of my comments that you come up with a counter argument, in this case it would be an example of how kinect can enhance gameplay outside of sports games and simple voice commands in a way that justifies ...

Dont say forced someone will surely point out that microsoft didnt force you to buy an x1.

What they did was say to its loyal gaming fan base is "hey! We know you love us and are pretty invested so if you want the experience only we can provide you will pay for kinect and ensure we get out foot in the door of a casual family entertainment center. Thanks for the help even if kinect may offer little to a core gamer not interested in entertainmemt"

No, but since rise son of rome flopped so hard in the minds of critics titanfall has become the defacto game to represent x1 and is considered by some to be THE reason to own the console.

people just expected x1's premier game to justify kinect as a gaming device and it wont.

microsoft really need to make kinect appeal as a gaming device, not just a remote control in which some are not at all interested if microsoft are serious about winning people back o...

Online shooters with friends and strangers are fun. Back when I was a pc gamer it was quake and unreal tournament. They got stale to over time. Sure they are still hardcore players of those games (esp quake) but its hardly a mainstream audiance anymore. Let call of duty fade into the wind, unless something innovates its stale old formula its going the way of unreal

The ktyptonite of both companies is internet service providers. The days of unlimited wifi are coming to an end. Internet and cable companies are trying to lean to a capped internet service with overage charges and tiered plans. Look at time warners new tiered internet service. It starts out at 2gigs a month from 15 bucks and goes from their.

expect gaming online to get VERY expensive

What they said from my understanding of the reading was that they will try and prevent the government taking data UNLESS they go through legal channels...

so if they ask nicely its free on a silver platter??? I to am confused as to why people would think this is good news

But, many people emulate old nes and snes classics on cell phones, people are playing super mario world on android as is. Nintendo may as well make a legitimate legal way of doing it where they can make money doing basically nothing.

its just smart business, no new ips that I agree with but surely whoring out the old ones could be a cash cow
