Brian lara cricket on ps1 was a pretty solid game. Then again I was only like 16 at the time lol.

If the internet service providers (In the USA especially) manage to introduce metered Internet cloud services may well become way to expensive to be economical to "regular" people. Since they are trying to push for metered Internet I am not so sure all digital is a viable future for the industry

That video seemed pretty damning, they even had trouble selecting the dawn game! I'm not seeing this as the future unless something major comes kinect way...

Microsoft better get their devs working on software to make kinect shine in so far as it enhancing actually playing games or its going to be the anchor around xbox ones neck!!

I'm hoping to see some innovation, maybe then I will drop some money their way.

And I don't mind letting you know you are wrong in that assertion, there is everything in the box that a family needs to use it and have fun together. Not including a camera in the box does not limit the ps4 as a family device.

Some of my best gaming adventures have been taking turns with one controller swapping over when lives were lost with my dad and sister and that tradition carries on with me and my son today, Rachel and clank has probably been the most fun for us t...

flat out work in a nursing home with elderly people some of whom believe it or not play console games... they are not all senile or riddled with arthritis. Quit being so ageist to try and make a inaccurate point.

Just as an aside since I feel you are using this as an opportunity to try and knock the ps4 as a console (I Could be wrong) the xb1 would first have to have good kinect games before it could attract there gamers who can't or won't use controlers

I'm no emotional at all but how I feel isn't the point, you said that the ps4 flat out was not a family viable console because it didn't ship with motion Controls, and all I said was that it simply isn't true. I know plenty of families who game without motion controls and have since 4 player multi tap bomber man on the snes.

Your point that people who are not comfortable with controllers have an easier time with motion controls does however have merit but agai...

Game controllers have been pretty easy to use for the past 30 years that I have been a part of families using consoles. I don't see how using a controller now would limit me and my families any.

A good salesman can convince someone that they need something they dont. Microsoft must have darn good salesman if you believe you need kinect...

Here is to hoping! A VR headset would make kinect worthwhile to me and then next gen may actually feel "next gen" enough for me to buy into

The problem has always been business men running gaming companies... The American corporate machine is exploitative of its consumers (EA and Microsoft are examples). The problem has been that America entered the market in a big way after the release of xbox 360 and Japanese companies started to try and emulate their business practices and are failing hard at it *square and capcom cough cough*.

If their is to be some kind of crash it will be the indies that pull us through, I ...

That's my point exactly though, Microsoft saw how gamers reacted to the original policies and didn't know if they could win them back so they have held back and there has also been rumblings of selling xbox off... now with strong sales it seems that Microsoft have faith they have won back at least most of their fan base.

This will bring good games and security for xbox. I have no idea how that is bad news or fan boyish of me to say in any way. I have no idea what the ...

Gamers who don't own next generation are fully capable of having an opinion. I to have problems with next gen consoles just like godmars. Yet I follow the news anyway hoping for the day next gen becomes worth the money they are asking to me.

With all the information online it's very easy to format an educated opinion without owning a system it just sucks that by offering an opinion you get labeled a fanboy either way. Even if that opinion is valid and makes perfect s...

I did not say microsoft. I said xbox as a division. If they didn't prove that they could secure the install base to maintain profit microsoft wouldn't have allowed them to invest in new staff. It's simple really, all this shows is that Microsoft wasn't confident in xbox 1 but now it seems to be.

It wasn't even a negative comment sheesh

This is kind of telling. They waited to see how xbox 1 would sell before they decided to hire staff to support the system. This to me suggests they were not all chips in until now. Maybe it really was sink or skim for xbox and bring potentially spun off.

I just read a blog on here about posting facts like this getting labeled as trolling, be careful and don't lose your bubbles some people are bitter.

I agree with the video, Sony seems to be outselling it's rival and when Japan comes into play their numbers will sky rocket. Microsoft better hope to pull in the casuals with kinect or families with its TV features or else it will start to lag behind

Companies have made the idea of all digital media or being Internet reliant (by releasing unfinished games and patching fixes) feel like it should be accepted and the norm.

Thank you to Microsoft and xbox live system developers have realized that their is much more money in charging for subscribers than there are in system sales. The new generations of systems can sell at little to no profit because they make so much money off people gaming online.

Sadly this...
