What the average gamer does care about however is the $100 difference in price between consoles, especially when the more powerful console is the cheaper of thr two and most of the "features" the xbox one has are available to the average home already.... there is even cable boxes with voice activation now!!!

If microsoft is keeping xbox afloat then cutting what is weighing you down off is a smart buisness move. If xbox could keep its own head above the water then microsoft would not be considering this...
You said it yourself xbox needs microsoft to float... microsoft does not need xbox at all.
So if this happens and microsoft owns azure xbox will no longer have free run of the service... xbox will have to pay for it with its own profits as well as pay for exclusivity deals out of its own pockets rather than microsofts deep ones.
Everything xbox values will be harder for it to maintain, to survive it would have to shift focus.

My concern is also low income families and their potentially very limited access to high speed internet.
I've seen the argument thrown around that if someone cannot afford the internet they have bigger problems and have no place buying a next gen console but that's a load of crap, as a single father myself I understand saving for months to provide children what they want for birthdays and christmas.

Of course xbox games run at 720p natively, that way when they unleash the 1080p version of the game they can say its because of the power of the cloud and make you pay for the better graphics... not that we will have any proof its the cloud, just their say so
Being fun like wii sports I can see (I genuinely enjoy that game and it isn't a dig) but the mario kart comparison just seems a bit of a stretch

I know in maine of the usa they still try to get you to pay taxes on online and digital purposes. They can't really police it but don't expect things to stay that way forever

I'm not sure that's how thr gamesharing works, yes you can have one game on multiple systems but I doubt they eoukd let you play that game on multiple systems at the same time...
I have no reliable internet connection, its impossible for me to go digital unless they come up with an external device I can take to gamestop or Wal-Mart or wherever to download from the store

Isn't snap the feature that allows you to go from your game directly into say skype or tv? I certainly hope my game gets paused while I take a skype call...

If it runs smoothly at around 50fps on just under 3 gig of ram (I think I saw it say 2.95 wheb he showed the other window) why is the xbox one "resolutiongate" happening? This game sounds way last gen if its running on 3 year old tech
