I am a consumer and I care about what specs a system can do for what price...
Actually when I was little and in the playground at school the big conversation was about what Sega could do and what nintendo couldnt.
assuming consumers don't research before spending their hard earned money is a mistake. Word of mouth and the internet makes sure that consumers are not ignorant of comparisons between products.
This is as true for laundry machi...
Windows 8 was panned by reviewers and customers alike... for Microsoft to want to create an ecosystem based on software the majority loathe and expect it to sell well is beyond arrogant. Trying to bring everything together ruined xbox one and Microsoft need to realize that if they are going to try again in the future.
Something to consider is how the rate of sales is slowing.
In January it sold less than the 360 did in its first january... yes the xbox one had a good start but if a good start is followed by a blasé life then yes sales look terrible for xbox one.
Does the xbox one?
My local gamestop has 10% off today
Unless microsoft spun xbox off into its own, closely affiliated buisness. If they two companies maintained a close special mutually beneficial relationship xbox could potentially avoid costs such as those.
If someone were to buy xbox I'm sure microsoft would charge whoever it was for use of its software and cloud on a regular basis.
Everybody look at me cos I'm on a f*cking goat!
Word of mouth is a powerful thing, probably more powerful than marketing. Word of mouth spreads from the core outwards.
I think as long as the most inexpensive hardware is more capable at resolution that it's more expensive counterpart there will always be people complaining over the lower resolution of xbox one games.
Funny enough I'm pretty sure roman mythos is a direct rip off of Greek mythos.
Mars... The God of war.
I thought they wanted to avoid comparisons?
You are assuming brand loyalty is a major thing.
With every cycle the gamers pick the product they support based on a number of factors, brand loyalty is one and not the most important.
Sony didn't lose 70 million gamers ps3 just was not as popular as ps2.
Them moving goalposts I keep hearing about...
It's not that this site is for Sony fan boys the point of the disagree's is that plants vs zombies is hardly a game difficult to get 1080p... The xbox one achieving thay hardly detracts from people being dissapointed at how underpowered xbox one is especially at the price point.
1080p in non graphically impressive isn't worth mentioning... it's also not worth mentioning if the developer had to cut back effects to achieve it like in the case of forza
It being tax return time in America will bump xbox sales. I am sure microsoft will attribute that to titanfall as most gamers will buy that given the option. Whether the rise in hardware numbers continues beyond this next month or two will be the big question.
That is a lower score that I would have expected considering all the hype even the beta is getting. Then again this isn't final build so hopefully the final product will be able to score higher.
It's the same in maine. I live in small town America and not a ps4 in sight. A relative of mine have been to y different stores and 3 different towns looking to no avail.
@tomshoe
I hadn't considered that any goty editions or "hd" Editions of titanfall wouldn't fall under any exclusivity deals. That's an Interesting perspective and while I still can't play the game even if it comes to ps4 I'm sure it will still make many happy.
That is what all the people who will play in on pc say.... amazing observational prowess.
Maybe he meant he is 100% sure that ps4 is more powerful? 100% more powerful sounds ludicrous
