Most systems reboot automatically after even a small update, if that was the issue shouldn't it have been resolved then?
It changes the focus on how developers can profit from games, bravely default (a game I'm loving) for example has a pay for an extra turn system and while it doesn't take away from gameplay I'm very concerned that money grabbing gimmicks like this may become the focus of game devs one day. Where did I limit my post to this one game?
Why won't this nightmare end! Dlc that is just outfits/items... insane!
So the main character of infamous second son is...
Twilight sparkle?
Or hearing!
@zombiedust
I am all for logical discussion but honestly I see no call for it here.
Yes direct x12 will improve graphics but it can't make up for hardware limitations, these people clinging onto the notion that it will somehow massively improve xbox ones graphics fidelity are holding onto blind hope and not logic.
They don't deserve logic in return.
@christoculous
Don't try and question my opinion here, the original poster said that direct x12 will bring next gen graphics, he is the one saying xbox one is not next gen not me. All I am doing is merely going with his logic and trying to find out if he meant what he said as litterally as it sounded.
Any games that will utilize this will have started development recently since it's new. It could take year/s before you see the games using direct x12, are you saying people who bought xbox one should have to wait over a year after release to see next gen graphics?
There has not been a big leap in graphics from last gen yet outside of resolution and framerate in multiplatform games (the ones that include last gen systems I mean)
If resolution doesn't matter so much and the disparity in graphics isn't to big and noticeable then let me ask you this:-
Why upgrade to an xbox one or ps4 at all?
I expected a higher score from the official xbox magazine myself, it's actually sobering to see them score like this.
I have always assumed that official magazines were biased and reflected this in scores of games and hype building, I have done this since the Nintendo power days.
Actually this increases my respect of the magazine and of microsoft for not manipulating a score of 10 out of 10 to maybe help shift more units. This is a good thing.
The questions isn't whether titanfall is a good game or not, review scores are almost 9 across the board I'm sure respawn are happy with the terrific job they did.
The question is how many people are so impatient that they can't wait 2 weeks for the 360 release that they will rope 500 on the xbox one?
The popularity this game is promising to achieve will test microsofts cloud talk for sure. If the servers crash even briefly it will be a ton of bad PR the amount of servers microsoft have been bragging about having available to gamers.
That's true but if you can play the same games (multiplatform) at a higher resolution then what is the excuse not to? It's not as though the gameplay is going to be different.
This isn't a surprise and it doesn't stop any rumors... The rumors are that some shareholders want to spin the xbox one and that the sentiment is growing among them. If it so happens that enough shareholders agree xbox is more profitable to them being spun off the the leadership will change that position which has been the worry.
The leadership want to keep xbox now but that isn't news.... it's the future were all concerned with.
I doubt only microsoft will use direct x 12 to make games. Why do people not think devs won't use the software across all platforms?
The title of this article pretty plainly has xbox graphics as a topic of the article so the resolution debate applies here.
I agree though it's getting boring now.
I feel bad for the people with download limits on their data...
I used to go to quartertothree.com quite a bit. They don't do as many reviews as they used to but when they do their "let's play" style blogs it's very telling about a game and how good it is and the reviewers there seem very fair.
