I have both and as I have said every time I see one of these fan boy pieces PSN is not in the same league as Xbox Live. The only reason PSN decided to give free games was to get people to use their subpar system. If all you have it a PlayStation then it is fine. If you happen to have an Xbox and PlayStation and you want to play online you do it with Xbox Live.

If you don't like something because it is not your favorite system then fine just say so. Don't make up a...

It was a good review from the stand point that he was very objective and did not allow preference to completely cloud his view.

On the batteries. I can understand some people like the built-in battery of the DS4. Those same people need to understand that many of us do not like them. For me it is the practical part of it. A well engineered product should allow for the battery to be replaced. In anything I buy I want parts to be replaceable. Especially batteries. I don&#...

@D-riders Yes, I read that article. Did you read it or my post? I did not say that they were going to provide BC. I said at this point it was uncertain. I also said that the tech was not ready for it. Read Penello's statement:

“It’s really cool and really problematic, all at the same time, insofar as it’s really super cool if you happen to have the world’s most awesome Internet connection. It works way better than you’d expect it to,’ Penello told website Polygon. <...

Yes, Gaikai is still in the testing phase but MS is working on their own setup. Whether that includes BC is uncertain but they are going to provide game streaming at some point.

If the market is there then you will see Xbox and MS involved. The main reasons IMO for not seeing something directly from MS at this point are that they are still selling 360s and making a good profit at it and the tech behind this still needs a lot of development. You need more than just bandwidt...

I don't live in the UK but am a part of the Common Wealth living in Canada LOL.

I am not sure how the hell their can bee shitty connection speeds in a place like the UK. Canada is the second largest country in the world and with the exception of a small minority we have excellent access to high end broadband. 97% of Canadians have access to a minimum of 10Mbps and over 90% have access to bundles ranging from 20Mbps to 250Mbps with the price varying of course. I currentl...

Yeah, I wrote a bit on another thread about this. EA are real control freaks. They need to realize that they are game publishers not a server company. Wait until TitanFall hits in a couple of months and we will see some real magic.

On the resolution issue in this article it is nothing but Flame Bait by DF and Gaming Blend. They have been negative towards MS for the past year.

How many people have a Blu-Ray burner? Not too frigging many. I do but never use it to burn movies. That would be complete waste of a $5 disk IMO. If you want to watch a movie then stream it. If you can't stream it for some strange reason use a usb thumb drive. If you can't do either of those then burn the file to a dvd. Its not like anyone is going to use a full copy of a Blu-Ray movie. It will be ripped and compressed to AVI and most likely put into a MKV container format at...

It will not direct play to your 360 your HTPC has to process the file for you and then it streams it to your 360. Plex has the option to either have the mkv container directly streamed with no processing from your HTPC to your video device or it can process the file to a format compliant to you device as it streams. This way you do not have to convert your files first.

The issue with this is if you are not using a fast computer for your HTPC you run into issues with the v...

I think we all know why there are a bunch of Fan Boys shitting on this guy and it has nothing to do with a rumour that he could not see a dying boy. If this guy happened to be advertising for PS4 there would be a circle jerk of monumental proportions going on right now about how wonderful he is.

Come on guys, your console has been out for 2 weeks and you're already that bored that you are trolling the Xbox One articles?

It sounds to me that Game took way more pre-orders than the number of consoles they were guaranteed by Sony. This is not Sony's fault but Game's.

To your first question I don't know of a way to test the signal from your console to your wireless modem/router/gateway. You can test the connection with a laptop/smartphone in the same spot that your console sits but the wireless adapters will be different so this is not definitive. It would still probably be useful as I guide if you were going to move your console to a different room or spot in the same room. You could test the signal strength with the laptop/smartphone by putting it...

@buynit Well said. I happen to like the all 3 consoles but I prefer the Xbox One. I also read the PS4 articles and you will not find one instance of me trolling those threads. These trolls must either have a broken PS4 or decided their console of choice was not as great after all and had to come on here out of sheer boredom to shit on a console that they don't care about.

While I understand and agree that the graphics and frame rates are better on the pc provided you pony up for a decent one (about 3 times the Xbox One price to start at) the bleeding edge graphics are only a small part of the equation.

First off I build PC's for a hobby and happen to love them. I took both computer engineering and mechanical engineering so I am not biased in any way towards PC gaming. It is great for those that have the money and love it.

I absolutely agree with your comment. That is where things will really pick up for Xbox. Some people still don't either believe it can do what it does or just don't understand how great it is. Once people see it in action at a friend's it will open some eyes. It is good that they had such a big launch.

I have read many times on here and other places on the web that doubters who actually sat down and used it after the launch did a "180" themselves on ...

The article is right on the money with exception to ISP's needing to find a way to monetize these new uses of their bandwidth. I would totally oppose any type of monetization of passing data on the internet while they still charge you a monthly fee. I live in Canada and our two big carriers are Bell and Rogers. I refuse to use Rogers as they have data caps and I have no intention of every paying twice for a service. Bell has no data caps and at their mid tier plan I get 80Mbit/s down ...

To me the biggest issue separating the WiiU from Xbox One and PS4 is the lack of games.

I know that people want to harp on MS and Sony for a lack of games at launch but it was actually pretty good for a launch. You never get the best games at launch but they both have games good enough to keep most people happy for a few months until the big guns like TitanFall show up.

The WiiU had pretty much jack squat and in my opinion still does not have much. I have...

@kjiscool Where are you getting your memberships? $40 is a good deal but if you don't have a credit card and are in Canada you can get 12 months for $50 at Costco. Costco has great prices for the consoles and related accessories. I can get Xbox 360 wireless controllers their for $45 and every couple of months they have them for $35.

The plan is to get a few very large TV service providers to work with the Xbox One. It then becomes a differentiating feature for the cable company so that they can get more customers. This ends up pushing other providers onto the ecosystem to keep up and not loose current or potential customers.

You will also see at some point next year that there will be cable or internet providers that will start to offer Xbox Ones as a bundle if you sign a subscription contract similar ...
