The real issue hear is how the public at large are going to respond to stuff like this.

It is not Sony's or MS' or Twitch's or the Internet's fault that there are douche bags out there that do something like this but the public will not think that.

The general public always needs a scapegoat. It is far easier for the majority of people to say well if live streaming was not available on the console this would not happen. No it would still h...

This is good information to have out their for people. The issue is that for best results you should have an open NAT. Unfortunately a lot of ISP's are set up so that you end up with a moderate or strict NAT and you have to do set up a static IP and forward ports which is a pain in the butt. I have complained to my ISP for years and they would not change it which left me having to use port forwarding. You can also use port triggering if your modem/gateway/router supports it or in some...

Looks pretty good to me.

@Nocando I generally have the same problem. It is just too painful to not be logical so just learn to accept the down votes. It is just evidence that people using their brain happens to be a rare thing. That goes for whether the down voters like PS4 or Xbox One.

Yeah, but you kind of have to expect that with the older low end TVs like a 2007 Vizio. They don't have many tuning options on them. The higher quality ones generally have a option to adjust your screen.

Read the update this is rumor. Undoubtedly a troll on the Xbox forum. No different than the people faking complaints on Amazon.

Either that or someone has made a mistake. MS does not charge to ship broken consoles back that are under warrantee.

This could be a really bad thing for a couple of reasons. Twitch does not want negative press like this. Sure it gets a lot of hits and exposure (no pun intended) but it also could end up involving them in some potentially bad legal situations and the same goes for Sony and MS once it has the streaming portion of its app available.

People need to be more careful about what they put out there, the whole world is watching including the crazy right wing censor police. Next ...

I thought it was rather funny myself.

In all likelihood some one low level in PR knew that this guy was popular and maybe even about his reputation. They recommended him due to his popularity. The higher ups probably had no clue about him and just signed off on it. Not saying it was smart or right but it happens all the time.

I very much doubt that anyone high up in the organization had any clue about this assholes history. MS is already hyper sensitive about negative PR and it is nigh on unbelievable that th...

I agree, then again Sony should be ashamed of this:

and this:

Stop posting fanboy shit. If you don't like the console don't buy it.

You see how pointless it is to post the link you put up? For every ...

This is old news. MS has already said they will never use this guy again. A lot of people have never even heard of the guy today. Stop trolling and do something useful.

You are correct. It would be a completely stupid move on MS part. They just announced over 1 million consoles sold in less than 24 hours. There are also countless videos on YouTube, blogs and reviews with a lot of the people that said they hated the Kinect coming out now having used it saying that they have changed their mind. This trend will continue.

If they were selling terribly, like on the order of half or less of what Sony has moved then I could see them maybe doing...

I have heard the same. Whether it is true I cannot verify. The other thing to mention about this video is that the PS4 has been out for a week now while the Xbox has just been released. So the pressure on the servers for downloads of Xbox One games will create a bigger delay than for the PS4. Have fun with your PS4. I can't open ours until Christmas as it is a gift for my kids (and me LOL).

Good point. At the end of it I think that most fans of either console will agree that while it sucks electronics do have a DOA rate. What should be expected is for the companies involved to fix the issues quickly and graciously while learning from the failures so they can prevent them next time.

"Could the optical disk drive situation have been mitigated by Microsoft calling for higher yield standards, or shifting production plants all together? Or are these yield issues not related to the current optical drive issues at all?"

That is exactly what they did. The lowered the number of expected consoles from 7 million to 6.2 million due to yield issues. That means they were failing consoles and had to readjust their expectations for total available in 2013. ...

Did that guy get a white console and a life time gold membership?

4467d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well I am glad that they moved quickly on this. I honestly had never heard of the guy before. I would imagine that the people who arranged this bash are going to do well to still have their jobs at the end of the day.

@Godmars290 Yes Sony got it first but they only have 480p.

@Quiet I personally would have preferred them to wait a few months until they had their drivers and API working better and for the developers to have had more time with the console so that they could make proper use of it. From most accounts many developers are not even using the Esram yet.

Unfortunately after the E3 fiasco I don't think that it would have benefitted them to wait so we have to ...

Yeah, I imagine there are so many people out there that are going to run out and get a Fro like that cut down to nothing. Get real.

That sucks. Well I am in the other part of the Commonwealth in Atlantic Canada and there were still five left at the Walmart at 8am (they were not open at midnight). Then again there were people behind me.

I don't get to play with mine yet anyways as it is a Christmas present for my kids (don't tell anyone it is for me too).

I wish you luck.
