MW2 still has some of the best maps, and the one's they brought over from MW1 were really good as well (I didn't play MW1, but I could tell it had some great quality).
Every PS4 ad is basically saying "wait for the great games because they aint here yet". If the roles were switched PS4's ads would be just as laughable (not that I think the X1 ad is funny, it's just interesting they're coming out and saying it's not doing well)
I'd spend $60 if it includes a Super Mario World Skin and items, one of my favorite games and the art style hold up well. Also please let there be secret areas (via pipes), I'm sure they will make it a full fledged game with download options
Did I read correctly there is PS3 content under a paywall for the remaster? All the ads for the remaster said it includes all the DLC from the PS3, so to charge money for it means the remaster doesn't include all the dlc, which means either the ads lied or wasn't clear enough.
If it's true they are charging for content that was supposed to be included free that is not acceptable.
One of my favorite Metroid games (even more than Super Metroid), the visuals for a GBA game were super nice
I'm sure the Dualshock size complaint always existed, but now that there is the much superior DS4 it's obvious the DS size has been sub-optimal
The triggers, thumbsticks, and girth of the Dualshock 1-3 was never my style (that and the thumbstick position, but the first 3 are more objective complaints)
I never actually played it, but I saw my brother's friend play against the Final Boss and the game looked pretty sick. I really like the timed hits system (much like in PSO)
Xenoblade and Mario RPG some my biggest favorites, for both RPG's and games as a whole.
I'm enjoying FF6 at, but I can't seem to play for more than an hour at a time without getting bored (since you can spam AoE special abilities for free). Only about 8-10 hours in tho.
PSO for GC and PC is my most played game of all time, well over 800 hours
It's nothing compared to the Mario-Mercedes commercial

Battlefield has been its stiffest competition and it's been going to crap the past 2 years, EA really screwed its image with the server problems and lies. CoD looks to be bigger and better than last year with AW, where hardline is more on par with an expansion pack.
Say what you will about CoD quality or innovation, but what they show you is what you get and the games run fine (their hype is a little humorous, but that just because Infinity Ward has gone to crap). Still n...

Metroid Prime, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Super Mario World. I love the level design and gameplay of those games, they easily stand the test of time, a true hallmark of a well made game.
They each hold a special place in my heart, I'd easily put them up for the best games of all time discussions.
When did this podcast start?
I don't think it's grossly overrated (definitely not a 7.5) but I don't believe it's good enough to be among the best games of all time. From a gameplay/design perspective it can't stand up to the likes of Mario World/3/Galaxy, Metroid Prime. The story is its main selling point and even then it has stiff competition from the likes of Bioshock 1/Infinite, Final Fantasy 6. The ending is a little rushed and while the ending scene(s) is cool and makes you smile, I wouldn't...
If I bought a WiiU day one I'd sure be pissed about the first year and a half. But by the end of the generation you're going to get an installment in just about every Nintendo franchise, and they're all going to be awesome. Once Halo 5, Gears, and several other X1 exclusives come out you won't feel too bad about getting an X1.
Having to pay the premium price sure sucks, but you know what you bought, what was coming out for it in the first 6 months, and chance...
Even then if I'm going to spend $3 for one day I might as well spent $5 or $6 for a whole week. Once you break it down to cost/hour there is very little incentive to not go for the best deal. Unless you have an intricate schedule going for a week is the best and really only way to go atm.
Plus paying for one game across the time period? You should be able to play multiple games for a purchase. Someone should be able to pay for a week and play through all the Bioshock game...
Wouldn't have made as much money (for ND), still would've gotten GotY, probably would've increased PS4 sales at the start, not sure how much it's driving sales of PS4
Both are a stretch. TLOU is just everything that was on PS3 with upgraded visuals and a photo mode, really just a buffed up port. MCC is a collection of past games, the only real addition is the Halo 2 HD skin and some FPS increases (I believe).
Both are already Games of the Year in their respective originals and without major changes they really don't warrant a new chance. They're great games with a fancy new presentation but are just glorified HD ports
Just because Mario Galaxy was the best game of its year and one of the best of the generation doesn't mean I want to see it released every year and win tons of awards again.
GOTY is meant to celebrate a crowning achievement in the game industry for a specific year. TLoU was 2013's crowning achievement, not 2014. One could play it on the PS3 and not the PS4 and not feel like they are missing out on the better game.
Sure it's still a great game, ...
I don't like all of the boosting. It would be one thing if you had limited uses in a duration, but I can see boost spam becoming the norm. I can see quickscoping boost snipers in every game now
