You have to wonder if PA is a polished, complete game or not, and twice now Uber asks for a ton of money to play in a Beta. They are a little shady with their pre-release plans and post release you gotta ask if they're really giving full value.
I would definitely wait this one out, get as much research before buying in, especially for the $40 Beta (which I would avoid because it's pretty ridiculous, Minecraft let you pay full retail ($15) and still get years of Beta e...
Tablet controls, ewwwww.
The beauty of Smash Bros is it never tries to claim to be "that" game, the content speaks for itself. The first game set out to be different from the conventional fighter and the series sticks by that philosophy without hyping that aspect of it. It's about getting with friends and playing with beloved characters from the video game universe.
The people who overhype Smash and get letdown are those expecting a specific character (which 15% of them are random) or a...
I'd hate a generation where every game is a DLC puzzle piece. "Spend $60 now so you can spend another $30 later to get the content and story that should've been there in the first place".
It's a shame I don't have a PS3. Would really like to try this game.
I'm shocked...
It's a crime MS hasn't made an OG Banjo game after all these years. Even if it wasn't a true game, at least N&B was a reality.
This music is godly. Rare always had the best music.
Last Gen didn't cut out large pieces of content and Story to release as DLC.
I've found even 45 fps to be a great benchmark, it's still a remarkable improvement over 30FPS.
First of all there's a big difference between 60 and 30 FPS. I've seen League players with over 100 FPS and it looks almost like a different game in how it moves and reacts compared to my 30 FPS.
60 FPS helps games retain or even enhance their graphical qualities over time. If you play SSB Melee you notice how smooth everyone moves and it makes the simple realism it went for stay crisp and fluid, it hasn't aged for the worse one bit. 60 FPS more accurately conveys...
There's not many 1st party games because they were making games up until the end of the PS3. Plus there have been 1st party games released on PS4, you can't expect these same Devs to make a game within a year. And haven't Sony been announcing new games about every month for PS4? Also the PS3 wasn't basking in 1st parties until after a year in, so this all seems predictable.
Outposts were fun the beginning when you had limited weapons and needed to sneak for most of your kills. Eventually you just get a silenced sniper and the special sniper and shoot from far away. If they don't physically see you they won't call for help.
You can't even sell items for real money because there's no in-game item trades.
Gears hasn't felt relevant since 3 (which I passed on even after playing through 1 & 2 and enjoying them)
Not T for Teen anymore
I still want to be able to turn my gamepad off during Netflix. Currently if you do the main screen is stuck on the gamepad menu and ofc you can't see anything. I have to use wiimotes.
*quickly runs to my gamepad*

People expected high scoring games, games that pushed the boundaries of the medium. Not a whole lot of generation defining games atm, games we all hold up to a high regard.
Kids be like: "Omg I have to have this"
Parents be like: "Oh God, not another system"
The detail on amiibo alone is enough to buy one and display. Adding in memory and DLC functionality and the value increases.
