"Nintendo just.." no, it was Miyamoto who said it
"insulted the entire video game industry" He's saying he's displeased with Devs who focus on remaking the same game every year and only care about cinematics/visuals over gameplay. He gets bored with them because watching is not as fun as playing. He'd rather lead an army of Pikmin in to battle rather than simply watch them on a video.
He makes games from the heart, immersive experiences...
A lot of them are fun, but many third parties can seem to help themselves from smearing brown over them through incomplete games, downgrades, and unplayable features (or the game itself).
Did Ubisoft not even play their own game? Did they not print a disc, put it in their game console and turn it on? It's one thing to be a server issue, but the physical pieces that have existed for a year now?
Ubi is a joke, soon they won't have any respectable devs left, they'll all have been poisoned by corporate greed and dishonesty.
With the emphasis on color and fluid art 60 FPS feels right for this one.
But of course the content is king, and the tid-bits sound awesome so far.
They still haven't confirmed Shulk Amiibo for Xenoblade X. I mean it only makes sense.
"Better than before"
If we get those visuals at 1080p and 60FPS, oh man. I guess the only thing left is the content and structure. Sounds very promising.
Any reason to bring back Song of Storms is a good one.
It all started when they made Rayman Legends multiplat and delayed the finished WiiU version. they were pretty clean up until then.
I remember getting a 256 MB memory card for Gamecube and thinking "this will last me the whole gen".
A few 50 GB patches here, a few 12 GB game downloads there, stability somewhere in this direction. Digital is crazy.
I got mine preordered a month ago, only 9 days left.
So if we assume there will be multiple types of WiiU commercials this Christmas (holiday) and consider this one is aimed at families using their biggest game it's pretty good, if a little vague. It's more of a hybrid between MK8 and WiiU.
Appealing to one of their core demographics? Yeah, doesn't seem very smart.
And it's one commercial, if you see the Smash commercial you see kids from multiple ages (like 9-17) playing the game.
MK8 DLC will soothe the pain.
Sonic CD and 3 are some of the best Sonic games
I wish they had deals just for WiiU games. Anyway this is an amazing deal. $20 more than the Mario Kart 8 Bundle (which was really only special for the early promotion and Mario Wiimote+).
We can also argue video games have already learned all they need from movies. And you said it yourself, with TLoU and Uncharted we have great examples of video games with cinematic experiences, there's not much further to go. Plus there are a lot of movies that aren't great conceptually.
There are games who haven't seen a movie version, but games bring interaction to the medium, allow the player to dictate the moment to moment action, and give more time to ponder...
Have you seen Kotaku's review? It got a "NO" out of 10. The IGN review seemed pretty good as well (7.8)
There's actually nothing for me with their WIiU deals. Already have MK8, getting the Smash and GC bundle from Amazon. Was looking forward to picking up 3DWorld and Tropical Freeze.
Gonna pick up Madden tho. My Dad wants it because of the Seahawks and because it's Football, and at 50% off is a good deal.
I like it showed a wide range of ages playing the game (kids, young adults, male and female), showing off 8 player Smash (now that's local multiplayer), and even a glimpse of the gamepad showing the gameon it. Some good gameplay video as well.
Really helps to sell the game.
For some reason I still havevn't picked it up, guess I'm just too lazy. My natural instinct is to wait for a sale, as I do with most video games.
