Picked this up yesterday on a rainy day after a busy week, pretty sure I went 6-7 hours straight.
This game really is a "love letter to Batman fans", as many media outlets mentioned in their reviews. Everything is just so damn well done, pretty blown away by the production values. I didn't know Unreal Engine 3 could look that good.
The way they use Joker in this game is beyond brilliant too. Just incredible moments with him.
So you got 600 hours of entertainment out of it and enjoyed playing it with your friends, but they want $40 more now for a few hundred more hours and that's too much?
This is what doesn't add up to me. Find me another form of entertainment where you get that much time for your money.
I don't play the game much anymore outside of PVP a couple times a week, but damn are they getting roasted worse than any other company.

But it IS an expansion. How is it fair to compare it to what you get in a $40 expansion in another game that also has a $10-15 monthly subscription?
I'm not forgiving vanilla Destiny's weaknesses, of which there were many, but the average Destiny player get's a ton of playing time out of the game and will from TTK as well.

Expansions should be $15 tops? $20 if you're a lunatic? This isn't like their previous DLCs.
If this is a lot of money to you, or if $20 (or $40) is a big burden on your wallet, stop gaming immediately.

It really is baffling. What's even more insane are the guys like Nicksetzer1 who put on this act of being unbiased while passively supporting MS, questioning everything Sony does and writing 2000 word posts about it.
I find it hilarious personally. It's amazing how much people care about this stuff.
I really don't get the no games argument. Sony had some nice exclusives to start the year, and now they get the best console versions of the big multiplats to finish it.
I have more games than I have time to play. Still working on The Witcher 3, just picked up Arkham Knight, MGS5 is out soon, Fallout 4 shortly after, then Battlefront.
Hell, even The Taken King should be fun for awhile. Ditto Black Ops 3. AC: Syndicate looks like a good comeback game for...
Naughty Dog titled their HQ version of the initial reveal trailer on their website the "Gamersyde" version, so it seems they're well aware of that site and it's media player.
I expect they'll send them a copy.

I actually think the rumored content is fine for a $40 expansion.
The only issue is the weird collector's edition package and the fact that Bungie/Activision are apparently unaware of international exchange rates.
If you're in North America and just go with the straight TTK expansion it's good enough value.

This game has no subscription fee, it's unreasonable to think they're going to keep releasing exotic/legendary weapons and armor for free. The developers don't work for free.
Also, if what the media is saying is true, they've learned from their mistakes regarding how campaign missions play out. These will be more..."Halo-y" for lack of a better term :P

The stuff you listed is exactly what's going to be in this expansion, other than a bunch of new planets. I don't expect that until the true sequel.
15 campaign missions, 6 strikes, 6-8 PVP maps, 2 PVP modes, 3 subclasses, a 6 man raid and hundreds of weapons and armor is meager content?
Vanilla Destiny was weak but come on, compared to the DLC practices we've seen in games like Evolve and Mortal Kombat ($30 for a character and some skins) this isn't bad at all.

Well, Mr. Phil Spencer himself made sure these comparisons would happen. He wanted his own Uncharted (his words last year) so they went out and paid for it.
Luckily for Crystal Dynamics, they hit the market first. Both games should be great, but TR will benefit from not having direct comparisons during their reviews.
