The trade in value is low because you can now buy Destiny + the first 2 DLCs + The Taken King for $60.
Why would they give you a lot for the original game?
It's not "DLC". It's an expansion. This basically changes everything about Destiny and brings it closer to the original vision...that's what people wanted.
Destiny is one of the most popular games out, much to the dismay many people around these parts who comment on each story. Their Game Informer articles have received a TON of views. That's why they're covering it, not because they're getting paid off.
Hell, "Gjallarh...
I played it through twice and really enjoyed it, but come on man. It was an extremely limited game that was a great tech demo with good characters and solid TPS mechanics (not unlike the first Uncharted, though everyone has rose tinted glasses about that).
I'm definitely looking forward to the sequel, but it's not on the radar for GOTY. The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Arkham Knight, Fallout 4, etc.
Didn't they mention there would be some gameplay tweaks to UC1 to make it closer to the sequels?
It really doesn't compare favorably to UC2, it's tough to go back to it.
I don't believe those words mean what you think they do, because that's not what Quantum Break looks like!
@InTheZoneAC
That's a fair criticism of the weapons and one that Bungie recognized.
Go check out the gameplay videos, the new "foundry" weapons are completely different than what we've seen so far. They're going for a more Borderlands style which is a great move.
The gameplay and mechanics are top notch.
It's a deeply flawed game which is why Bungie is changing how the entire game works fundamentally this expansion.
"Terrible games" don't have great core gameplay mechanics. The weapons in CoD feel like water pistols after you play Destiny.
There's nothing irrelevant about your exotics, those come with you.
They're adding more new weapons than the base game + DLCs combined. What's wrong with new legendary weapons? The game would get stale as hell if people just kept using Fatebringer as their primary for 2 years straight.
Phil Spencer always looks like he just took a massive bong rip.
There's a reason why he's so loved by Dudebro Nation.
"Dude...please tell me you have pizza bagels" http://i.ytimg.com/vi/n783f...
I'll give you nightfalls.
Matchmaking for raids is a terrible idea. It takes 2 minutes on LFG and means you aren't stuck with a group of players with no mic and shitty gear.
Hey look, it's this post.
Destiny is still one of the most popular games on consoles and will remain that way even after CoD and Battlefront come out. Their Game Informer cover story articles for this expansion were hitting 500k views in the first day.
Why? Dat Bungie gunplay, that's why. No other shooter has the same core mechanics or weighted feel that Destiny does. Bungie still makes the most satisfying FPS gameplay out there, which kept people pla...
The final scene in the game looked so amazing. Really wanted to continue from that point.
Can't really say a game is "bad" if I wanted it to keep going. It did a lot of things right, I just wish there was more.
You're not wrong. The collector's edition pricing was dumb, not having an option for people who already owned it. They screwed up there.
Just the regular digital edition though? I'll gladly pay $40 for it (39.99 in Canada is $31 USD, I got a good deal).
The only people with legitimate complaints are in the UK and Australia.
This IS an expansion.
It's completely changing the way weapons/armor work in the game world.
Twitch streamers who had the chance to play it said it feels like an entirely different game. In a good way.
The new PVP maps have a distinctly Halo vibe, which is awesome.
GAME CHANGER.
Just when EA thought they were closing the gap, 2K goes out and does this. Those savages.
Not sure why anyone would disagree. UC2 came earlier in the console's cycle and was the "damn, I have to have that" moment for a lot of gamers who still didn't have a PS3.
It was for me, at least.
TLoU was released in year 7.
@slate91
I'm going to have to disagree just because UC4 is an important game for Naughty Dog and they're bringing their experience from TLoU into it.
I'm still really excited for Horizon though. If it delivers on everything and the story/quests are up to par it'll be GOTY to a lot of gamers, regardless of actual awards.
Well, yeah. That mini fridge looked awesome!
Jordan-Pippen-Rodman
Was expecting more jokes about "Wow, it can stream at higher res/fps than it's games". Only seen a couple mentioned.
WELL DONE N4G, YOU'RE GROWING UP!
*Sees top story on frontpage is more Xbox vs. PS4 console war garbage*
Uh, yeah, never mind...
