You're paying for the service. They don't owe you free games because of that.

Players should be happy to get anything.

The genesis era comment is relevant because it magnifies the weird entitlement many gamers seem to have developed.

"HURR DURR I DEMAND FREE TRIPLE A TITLES FROM PLAYSTATION PLUS"

Well, you just got this awesome game for free. This type of game would have sold for $70 in the Genesis era.

We're spoiled these days, not the other way around. Be happy peoples.

Just got to Kaer Morhen in TW3, which is the start of what's considered "act 2" I believe. Must have nearly 70 hours played already.

Crazy how much content this game has.

Are you really comparing direct feed screenshots to screens from a compressed video?

The images on top are what it'll look like on your screen while playing, the images below are what it'll look like on your screen through a compressed video.

Why would screenshots from a video be a better representation than direct feed shots? They aren't bullshots. There's no supersampling happening in those direct feed shots.

My only takeaway from this post is that you're cheap.

Personally, I like being able to support my favorite developer.

Also, 60 FPS will make a big difference. It's a shooter you know.

Edit: Just read a few of "spacedelete's" comments. Most seem to be complaining about having to pay money to play new games. Newsflash - not all gamers are as broke as you are.

It's ASAP...have you gotten one yet!?

Sony bashing? Really?

Sony had no involvement in this titles development.

Pick your battles better, sad little console warriors.

There are always going to be improvements that can be made. The fact that CDPR have been so consistently update the game should he commended.

They're perfectionists. Have to respect that.

I've been gaming for over 20 years. Sometimes there are immediate signs a game isn't going to be good, this had them in spades.

In the first 10 seconds I saw poor animations and terrible looking environmental effects/destruction. Not to mention the overall presentation. That should be the number one thing for a Godzilla game.

Perhaps the most diehard of Godzilla fans will like this, but I can't see anyone else.

I watched 2 minutes of gameplay and knew it was terrible within the first 10 seconds. I'm not sure how something like this even gets out to the general public at the cost of a full game.

A game about huge monsters destroying eachother and the city they're in and the environmental destruction looks worse than stuff we got at the beginning of last gen in Red Faction games. By a lot.

Jeez.

TLoU was a significant step up visually, the higher res textures were noticeable and the 60 FPS made a huge difference, as the framerate on PS3 wasn't even a consistent 30.

Naughty Dog spent a year porting that themselves, it wasn't a half assed remaster.

This one doesn't look to have been given quite the same treatment.

Not sure how you throw The Uncharted collection in there either, when we haven't seen it yet and apparentl...

It's amusing that whenever you see gameplay from these events the person playing is always terrible. I understand it's their first time playing a game, but I watched 2 minutes and the guy didn't get a single counter in despite the giant floating Y above the enemies head.

Bleh.

Good god man, what's wrong with giving us a 1080p/60 remaster of one of last gen's best games for people who didn't have a 360?

So because you had a PS3 this is now a "money grab" and Sony is doing you wrong?

Don't fucking buy it, nobody is making you. They aren't charging $60 for it.

And the first 2 games have already been remastered BTW.

Huge fan of the series and was planning to grab an X1 when Gears 4 dropped, but that demo was a big let down. I get that it's just a small vertical slice of gameplay but I was hoping for something a bit more impressive.

The Gears series has always been cutting edge. Each new title had arguably the best visuals in it's class. I'm not seeing that here and without Epic behind the game I doubt we'll get the proper evolution to the series.

Still g...

@sniperwithacause

There's an alternate control scheme that toggles the combat mode.

Changes brake to the left trigger and makes it so combat mode is toggled with one button press of r1/rb. You don't have to keep holding it.

I personally liked having it on the trigger because you could make instant directional adjustments in combat mode.

On the tech side, I'm surprised more developers don't try to do what Guerilla did with Killzone: SF.

1080p/30fps single player with all the bells and whistles, then hitting 60 FPS for multiplayer with a different technique.

"In Multiplayer mode, however, we use a technique called “temporal reprojection,” which combines pixels and motion vectors from multiple lower-resolution frames to reconstruct a full 1080p image."

Then ...

Not only does Shu play games, he's awesome at them. That Bloodborne gameplay clip of his was quite impressive.

It's definitely weird to see a Halo game that doesn't have best-in-class visuals, though it's a great decision to aim for 60 FPS given it's a multiplayer focused game.

I'm not sure why people are questioning why this aspect of Halo matters. They've always been beautiful games. Corinne Yu (now working on Uncharted 4) created such a spectacular lighting system for Halo 4 that MS patented the tech. It looked a cut above everything else on the system.

I'm only about 10% in and don't find it lackluster at all. There's so many damn easter eggs for big fans of the Batman universe, and even DC as a whole.

Doesn't hurt that the voice acting is top notch.

Nice to know it picks up even more!

I've gotten a ton of playing time out of the free games offered and I'm not even a big indie game player.

Hell...Resogun was free immediately when PS4 launched. That's enough for me right there.
