Indies, indies everywhere. I'm still waiting on GG's new IP. I bought my PS4 for AAA titles, not a bunch of games that could've been played on the PS2's hardware.
So, a previously announced multi-plat game suddenly goes exclusive, alienating it's historic fanbase, and you think people don't have any reason to be upset?
Exactly. It makes no sense whatsoever from a sales perspective. Microsoft offered them money, and they got greedy for a quick buck.
Wow, this is hilarious. The X1 has barely shipped 5 million units, while the PS4 has 10 million units already sitting in homes, and somehow making it exclusive to the X1 is 'the best move'? Yeah, right. MS just paid you off.
It was only a few weeks ago when Xbox fans were complaining about Bungie giving the PS4 exclusive Destiny content, and Sony fans were telling them to suck it up. Now the shoe is on the other foot when a historically PS-oriented franchise shows favoritism to MS. Now the PS4 fanboys are crying and swearing to never buy another TR game again.
Ooookay? I was happy with what they showed. While I wish they would've come out swinging with some new IPs instead of expanding on already announced games, it was still pretty good. QB is shaping up to be amazing.
Just because a game is rated E doesn't make it a kids game, that is true. But when everything from the art style to the gameplay is geared toward a younger audience, that makes it a kid's game. And Mario is 'casual'. If you think it's difficult, you obviously haven't played a game that has any real difficulty.
And innovation? Their biggest sellers are decades old franchises that have been re-skinned again and again. They innovate on occasion, but no mo...
It's amusing, really. Console gamers of all stripes have spent the last few years downplaying the importance of resolution and framerate against PC gamers, but when one console suddenly has the capability to reach the 'holy grail' of 1080P at 60 FPS it's suddenly the most important thing ever. Ah, fanboys.
Honestly, who cares? Sony lost boatloads of money on the PS3 and they stayed in the game. Microsoft isn't going to drop out of the console market simply because of a bad launch. If they can keep the software flowing strong, they should be able to turn a profit in a few years, just like Sony did.
People crack me up. 'Nintendo has great exclusives!' Like Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, Smash Bros, and Pikmin. Oh, and don't forget such riveting upcoming titles as 'Splatoon'! If you like Nintendo games, fine. But don't try to pretend that they aren't targeted toward a younger, casual audience.
Not really. It's looking like it'll struggle to match the Gamecube's 22 million. If it's lucky, it might hit the N64's 33 million.
Honestly, if people think 4K will ever catch on, they are deluding themselves. Unlike the leap from Standard Definition to HD, the difference between 1080P and 4K isn't as large, especially on TV's smaller than 55 inches.
Do keep in mind that most of the more vocal fanboys on both sides are little more than insecure teenagers who have to ridicule other brands to justify their own purchase and make them feel good about themselves.
Ah, Nintendo fanboys are so delusional. Face the facts. Your console was built to appeal to casuals with yet another gimmick that turned off Third Party devs. Instead of blaming the devs, blame Nintendo for once again neglecting hardware in favor of a gimmick. But wait, that would mean admitting that Nintendo isn't the patron saint of gaming Nintendo fanboys try to make them out to be.
Very nice. The UI was one of my few gripes with my PS4, and this seems to solve all of the major problems.
I think you're exaggerating. I don't know of a single person who could build a PC from parts themselves. While some people certainly have the skill set, it's not a common thing.
It's a beast considering it's price tag. The only way to make a PC of comparable power for a similar price is to buy all the parts individually and put it together yourself, which isn't a skill many people have. To straight out buy a gaming PC that could match the PS4 in power, you'd probably have to spend around 500 to 600 bucks.
I can't believe people are still buying Assassin's Creed.
As a former 360 owner who bought a PS4, there are a few reasons why I didn't pick up an Xbox One. First, value. Despite the fact that both consoles cost the same, the PS4 offers more value in terms of hardware. While the actual difference in graphics may or may not prove to be minimal, there will still be a difference. Second, performance. By now, the X1's infamous installation times have become well-known. Where the PS4 will let you play almost any game within less than a minute, it ...
The only non-Indie titles that I saw were Bloodborne, which we already knew about, and Until Dawn, which looks like a cheap horror flick turned into a game.
