Let me fix that for you. The Wii U has the best exclusives....if you're under the age of 13 or if you're a die-hard Nintendo fan.
I have to laugh. 'Sony isn't making money in other divisions! MS is though! So the Xbox is better!'
Right.
Even more amusing is that Destiny isn't the 'megahit' that Sony had hoped. It's the best-selling new IP ever, and it's one of the 10 best video game launches of all time. From a sales perspective, Destiny is the very definition of a 'megahit'.
Meh. I knew about the lineup when I bought my PS4. It doesn't bother me. Sunset Overdrive doesn't interest me, and I still have every Halo game on my 360, so I wasn't willing to shell out $60 for a graphics update. Meanwhile, the Order, Bloodborne, and Uncharted all look extremely promising. And of course, the obvious reason for buying the PS4 is it's significant advantage in the hardware department as all multi-plat games look better.
"console gamers didn't get that this generation."
Speak for yourself. The Last of Us: Remastered puts anything I played on my 360 to shame. And it's not even the most visually impressive game on the PS4.
...Who cares? I've seen the trailers for this game, and nothing about it interests me at all. And frankly, I couldn't care less about Gamespot's reviews. They've been a joke for years
Depends. Pre-orders for AW are the lowest of any COD game to date. After what they did with Ghosts, a lot of people are skeptical about the series. And sure, a lot of people are playing on Xbox, but the majority are on Playstation. While the MCC could cause a decrease, I doubt it's going to be dramatic.
Also, if you didn't enjoy the game, that's fine. I've disliked a lot of games that others have absolutely loved.
...Or, because they enjoy it. Frankly, unless Advanced Warfare is absolutely mind blowing,it's not going to dethrone Destiny. Halo: MCC won't do much to it either, since the bulk of Destiny's players are on Sony consoles.
I'd hardly say the story was horrible. Once you realized it's not the typical cinematic driven narrative that we've become accustomed to and that most of the story is given through dialogue, the story is actually somewhat enjoyable. While it isn't great, neither was Halo: CE's story. In the end, Destiny is a solid foundation for what could be a wildly successful franchise.
Sad? According to IGN, Gamespot, and other major review sites, it takes 16 to 18 hours to complete all story missions and strikes. The Vault of Glass alone adds 2 to 3 hours for most gamers. Add in the time you can spend doing bounties, patrols, and PVP, and you get the picture. Most AAA games nowadays give you 8 to 10 hours of content, and that's it. I finished the Last of Us in 10 hours, and I haven't touched it since.
Not really. The hipsters are the one hating on it because it's been such a massive hit.
Thing is, it's not 'valid' criticism.
He claims Destiny lacks content, and says it's like a free to play game that took 300 million took millions to make
Nevermind that the average AAA game has maybe 8 to 10 hours of content if you're lucky. Destiny has 16 to 18 content just in it's campaign, not to mention the time you can spend doing patrol missions, gathering raw materials, doing bounties etc.
And of course, anyone ...
I figured people would've gotten bored of bashing Destiny for clicks by now. Does the author understand that the reason so few people actually have a problem with Destiny is maybe because....it's a good game? Shocking, I know. But maybe, just maybe, not everyone had ridiculous expectations about Destiny. Everything Bungie promised, they delivered.
A Game Changer? Not really. I wasn't impressed by it at all. Your character constantly coming back from the dead makes some degree of sense. However, why should a low level Orc survive having his throat slashed open or being gutted? Needless to say, it got boring after killing the same guy three times and the only thing to show for it are some cosmetic changes and an extra line of dialogue.
I feel bad for you. You missed a great game. But hey, if you want to listen to the same reviewers who give games like COD 8's and 9's to tell you what games you should spend your money on, by all means.
This guy cracks me up.
'For the past 2 weeks, I had stalled on Level 21 with my Warlock. I sat outside the treasure cave, mowing down those mindless Acolytes for hours, getting a fair share of blue engrams only to see them turn into junk when i got back to The Tower.'
In 3 days, I went from level 20 to 23. How? I played 5 to 10 matches every other day in the Crucible. Maybe, just maybe, you should've realized that farming a loot cave wasn't h...
I don't think you know what 'lack of content' means. A primary campaign that takes 16 to 18 hours to complete is not a lack of content. PVP with 9+ maps is not a lack of content. And a silly system that takes an insane amount of grinding?
Please. I play 5 to 10 matches in the Crucible every two days or so, and within a week I'm at level 23. People don't grind to rank up. People grind to try and get legendary and exotic loot.
And when the...
No, the problem is these 'reviewers' are missing something.
This review perfectly sums up my problem with every single Destiny review I've read so far. He complains about the story being delivered through dialogue instead of cut scenes, and says it's 'bad storytelling' because it isn't 'gripping'.
The fact that he says he didn't know the game was finished after the last mission also made me laugh and told me he wasn't paying attention to the dialogue to begin with. I mean, we'd only spent all of...
'When I say unique content, I mean something other than run somewhere, maybe make Ghost (aka Dinklebot) do something, and then shoot all the bad guys until they’re dead. That’s pretty much what 99 percent of Destiny is outside of the Raid, unfortunately.
The Sword of Crota story mission is the one and only exception because it lets players wield a sword to deal with waves of Hive enemies and three powerful princes. That kind of change up in gameplay is sadly missing from ...
Who cares? Skyrim had a massive amount of technical issues that nearly left the game unplayable for the first few weeks, yet Bethesda didn't get half the amount of flack Ubisoft is getting for Unity. This has less to do with any technical problems, and more to do with the game's microtransactions. And again, who cares? If you don't want to buy more stuff, than don't. It's that simple. Acting like you are entitled to that content just because you bought the game just makes ...
