Eh. MGS3 is the only other Metal Gear game I've ever actually played, and MGS5 doesn't really live up to it, especially in the story department. But to each his own.

lolz

The majority of the free DLC offered with the Witcher 3 was likely just content cut from the original game. This sort of thing is just a PR stunt, nothing more.

Depends, really. To most, the PS4 still offers more bang for your buck. Even now, Third Party games are still releasing at a lower resolution on Xbox One. Crackdown was a nice way of showing off what the Cloud can do with the X1, but they really should've had something like that a long, long time ago, and it'll still be a while before word really gets around. So I don't really see the relatively bare PS4 line up doing much damage.

'Relatively' quickly? It took months for them to get the MCC functioning properly. And we know more than enough. We've already seen gameplay to know they are changing things up, such as the addition of ADS. And that's not even talking about the story. I was already skeptical after Halo 4, but the details that have leaked since sealed the deal.

Really, MS should've had something like Crackdown to show off when they announced the Xbox One and all of it's crazy policies. If they had, gamers might've been more willing to swallow what they were selling. Instead, it just sounded like outlandish gibberish that even a lot of tech experts were skeptical of.

Eh. Had one, then sold it. It's a decent console, for the most part, but the line up somewhat disappointed me. The Master Chief collection, which is what I originally bought it for, was a bust. Then when the news about Halo 5 started coming through, I lost interest in 343's take on the series entirely.

Gears of War has mostly fizzled out, and while it'll be interesting to see if the new studio can breath some life back into the series, I'm not overly optimisti...

I may buy this, but probably not. If it's like BO2, and actually has a branching storyline in it's campaign, I might be interested. Buuut I doubt that will happen.

Thing is, we all saw what free online play looks like on consoles with the PS3. It's terrible.

Nah. The problem with the Gamecube was that despite it's power, they used those silly mini-discs which irritated many people, and they intentionally designed it to appeal to children, which turned off older gamers.

....Right. Attaching a tablet to a game console in an attempt to lure in mobile players is innovative. lolz.

Not really. Destiny's story is pretty clear. It was just weak.

I doubt it. Tomb Raider sold around 8.5 million copies when it was multi-plat. Fallout 3 sold over 9 million. By their stupid exclusivity deal, they've shot themselves in the foot in terms of sales, so it's not going to stack up.

lolz. Yes, it technically has many different endings, but all of them more or less come down to the narrator talking about it in a slide show. In reality, I'd say it only has three endings, and those are the ones involving the fate of Ciri.

...Wow. That's retarded. I expected a couple months, at most. A year? They already shot themselves in the foot when they alienated the largest portion of their base with this deal, this just makes it worse.

Meh. I would've preferred them to have actually fixed all the technical issues in the game before release, instead of treating gamers like glorified beta testers. We pay $60 for a product, then spend the next several months dealing with graphics issues and quest glitches. It's become the norm nowadays.

RIP Iwata. I didn't like the direction he took Nintendo in, but he was a great person and had an amazing passion for gaming.

Thing is, almost every review from major gaming sites didn't even bother to take into account the glitches that it launched with. So it'd be kind of pointless.

I doubt it, considering they alienated the largest portion of their fanbase by their little timed exclusivity deal.

'School age'. That explains everything. In our current politically correct climate, crap like this is force-fed into kids, so it's no wonder they believe it.

Let them try. It'll be the death of Nintendo in the traditional console market. They'll still flourish in handhelds, of course, but they have no chance of competing with Sony or MS if they continue this whole 'let's put out underpowered consoles, fuck third party support' attitude they've had since the Wii.
