I am extremely excited. Just the fact they are pushing SteamOS so we can break away from MS should they go the iOS app route on windows with their games makes me happy.
The new controller is interesting but I will reserve judgement until I have one in my hands.
I will most likely continue to build my own PCs so the steamboxes do not excite me. However having different boxes with ratings attached to each one that will match ratings of games released on steam ...
I don't trust any mainstream news. No worries there.
Don't know how true it is but the middle class of China is supposedly on the rise. Again, this may not be accurate. I don't trust any news coming out of China as being legit if it is coming directly from their state controlled news outlets.
I heavily favored my 360 over my PS3. But this new gen is different. I have a PS4 pre-ordered and no real desire to own an X1 any time soon.
I owned ATI/AMD cards for over 10 years until I bought GTX680. My last card was a 5870 from AMD. I never had driver problems with them. I have no idea why everyone says that about AMD.
It would seem a lot of people, such as myself, are more than willing to upgrade when the better gfx cards comes out. I typically wait a generation in between before upgrading personally.
Just look at what is inside your beloved consoles. If it wasn't for millions of people such as myself driving the demand the for the next best thing your consoles would have half the processing power they will have.
So, yes, consoles certainly have their place for the re...
This seems like a complete reversal from last gen. How the hell is a software company having these sorts of trouble?
They say "up to 60fps" most likely because they will put in a fps cap and top it out at 60fps.
Yes, you read that right. On the PC they cap off your max fps sometimes. Such an odd problem to have, huh?
SOLD! Oh wait..
I don't think that anyone that knows even the smallest bit about PC gaming in general will be confused. You know your hobby.
As a primarily PC gamer I can say that there is honestly no single console exclusive that would ever make me buy a console. The only reason I own consoles now is to play with my friends/family around the country that do not game on a PC.
And seeing as how both consoles are x86 platforms the PC will most likely be the lead dev platform for most games. They would have to go out of their way NOT to release a game on the PC this generation.
The videos they showed looked like the second coming of Raven Shield. I almost bought till I hit the forums.
Foxnews leans right, CNN/MSNBC/CBS/ABC/BBC all lean left. You want the truth? STOP watching all of the above and go to the actual people doing the journalism and read their blogs/reports.
Pretty sure killing hookers, selling illegal item/substances, murder, and crazy people existed thousands of years before video games were invented.
It is a back and forth thing. Us PC guys enjoy it.
From an investment/R&D perspective and in comparison to mobile device sales it is not really that impressive.
The time and money it took them to make GTA5 vs what it cost to make smaller indie/app style games and the money they make per $1.00 invested just doesn't add up in favor of AAA gaming.
Childhood while playing this game? Man... I feel really old right now. hahahahahaha
The PC will be the lead platform for most new games thanks to the x86 architecture of the new consoles. Most games would have to go out of their way not to release on PC.
I know that. I am just saying the game looks great all around. It has everything cool from just about every other Tom Clancy game and put a pretty bow on it. I haven't been this excited about a Tom Clancy game since Rainbow Six Vegas.
Lol. I agree man. Not to mention the red cross is one of the most inefficient charities out there.
