The aliasing problem is the most noticeable thing on the Xbox1. The PS4 has a lot better anti-aliasing. At least in this game.
I knew there would be a difference. But I didn't think it would be that big. Glad I pre-ordered my PS4..
I don't see this product succeeding and I don't want one.
But- the PC has many more games and more exclusives than both consoles combined. No it doesn't have awesome games like those Sony/MS exclusives you listed but it has several PC exclusives that are enjoyed by millions around the world.
Back on topic. Who really buys this thing? I'm an avid PC enthusiast and I just don't see the appeal. Granted I don't take public transit or any...

I am sure a fair amount of that goes on. But the guys I play with are mostly Dota2 players which is a free game. I am going to ask them now about pirating just to see. I never really thought about that since we all play F2P games together.

They said the same thing about DX10/11 being on Vista/Win7 a while back but we had a workaround that enabled them on the older OS versions anyway. I am hoping it will be an easy fix like that because I don't want Windows 8 till there is better support for it and Win8 has a lot more updates to make it what we all want it to be.
Yes, 11.2 ready. The real question is can I get a workaround for DX11.2 so I don't have to buy and use Win8.1?
Half of my Steam friends list is filled with Brazilian, Peruvian, Colombian, Mexican, and Venezuelan people. I ask them about consoles and they tell me they don't typically play on them because PCs are cheaper than the consoles in most cases for the money you spend.
I am wondering if this new generation will change that by attempting to be more cost attractive.
Given that the screenshots were compressed and of low resolution to begin with other than some color palette changes I can't tell a difference.

I'm more disturbed by the fact the guy keeps saying we only need one system. If you believe that then just develop for the PC. I'm a firm believer in competition though. I'm glad we have more than one.

Dual monitors? What games do you play that support only two? Where is your center of screen at? No sh!t you notice it. Games aren't meant to played on only 2 monitors unless it is an RTS game like Supreme Commander.
1 monitor or 3. NOT 2.
Be careful Joe. Talking admiringly about ANYTHING that isn't a console or available on a console on this site is almost promised that you will lose a bubble or two.
On topic- you DON'T notice the screen breakage because you mostly still look at your center screen and use the side screens much like you would real peripheral vision. Its great being able to see people coming at you from the sides at a more realistic peripheral angle than you normally would and helps out ...
When you play a game across three monitors most people don't notice the bars. Its kinda like letterbox when TV's were going from standard to HD. Most people never noticed once they started watching.

I think this game is solid 8 at least. No one picking up this game thinks it is a game that is supposed to be challenging or in depth. It IS an interactive novel the way most point and click adventure games are. And compared to other games in the same genre this game is amazing.
I think that the xbox will stay strong this time around but for gaming, when my PC isn't being used, I only see myself playing on the PS4. Which is the total opposite of this generation.
^^ These screenshots look better than Ryse. Yes they are old games on old engines. Which is exactly why I pointed out that Ryse doesn't look even close to high end PC rigs because those games are years old and look better.
And Angerfist I am not the one that said they look like high end PC. I was replying to original poster who said they did. Don't blame me for lame comparison. I'm not the one that brought it up.

I am playing it maxed on PC as well and I agree that the PS4 version is noticeably downgraded but not to the point it is horrible. As you said lack of AA and some textures are lowered is very obvious. Overall though from the videos I have watched it seems that the PS4 version still looks really good compared to what I was expecting.
