@PockyKing

You're right. They don't make a game good. But they do make the presentation, the clarity/fidelity, and overall feel of the game better.

If I am going to play a game that is available on more than one source I am going to play on the platform that has the best graphics, the highest FPS, the best options, and the best control input method. (or at least the best platform available to me, I understand not everyone can or wants to afford a high...

Or Titanfall @1440p (or across 3 screens, or @ 1080p in stereoscopic 3D) and ultra settings on a PC.

You don't need an Xbox1 to enjoy this game. Remember that!

I gotta say this game looks pretty boring from what I just watched. :/ Hopefully as time passes they will release something that looks like fun.

My thoughts as well. The controls/combat felt like something out of the PS1 era. Other than the time limit, which I hated because I always felt rushed, I thought that DR2 was an amazing game. I played through it on Steam with a friend and loved every second of it.

I know it isn't but the DX API helps make tessellation more efficient than it currently is on other platforms. Meaning it is already built in and the hardware makers (AMD/Nvidia) have hardware acceleration built into their hardware specifically for DX/Tessellation.

This is what I meant when I said there is no reason the Xbox1 should not have it even if it is only used on a few object at a time just because of how much better tessellation can make things look. -

They had to split the dev team and resources up for each individual console.

Which makes me believe they poured more money and time in where the install base was much larger. The next gen consoles probably got really rough code shoved through and just threw in a few extra bells and whistles or in the case of the PS4 a higher screen resolution to make it appear "better" than the current gen consoles without actually spending much R&D.

This comes...

Relax guys. These are new consoles using modified old engines for old hardware.

I don't think it is time to panic over the PS4 having some framerate issues or the X1 having a lower resolution. The next crop of games coming out a year from now will be the true telling point.

If this sort of thing is happening to exclusives and multi-plats NOT made for the older consoles a year from now then feel free to panic.

What the guy wasn't allowed to say was a lot more telling than what he did say.

I can't believe that after how much I loved my 360 and only used my PS3 for exclusives that there is such a huge turn around and my PS4 will pretty much be main console this time around.

One thing I wish he had asked was what the network disparity was like between the two. MS is supposedly going to have some crazy boost in their network speeds and server capacity and goi...

Also here is a quote from a dev about resolution -
"GC: So, just finally, I have to ask: why does the PlayStation 4 version look so much better than the Xbox One? Is the resolution really the only difference?

MR: [laughs] Yep, it’s the only difference. The TVs are different on some of them, but… they both have their different rendering engines but they’re as close as possible. It really comes down to resolution. Xbox is upscaled 720, it’s outputting at 1080p but...

What does it have to with a game looking pretty or ugly? A lot. It can affect almost everything as it is presented to you on screen. This all may be a bit too technical for you but a quick glance should help explain why it does matter. (but ISN'T the sole reason a game does/doesn't look good) http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

Even at that resolution it still looks ugly.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed it gets added in an update.

Sorry, I should have typed in "or" not "in". You're right though. I am still waiting for 1440p 3D.

However, this works until then- http://dl.maximumpc.com/gal...

I'd rather play BF4 @1440p in stereoscopic 3D.

There is a big difference between native and upscaled. But if you sit far enough away from your TV the vast majority of people will never notice. Unless you are one of those eagle-eyed freaks of nature.

The funny thing is in real life water is practically "bullet proof".

Even if they (MS) didn't spy on us through the game system/kinect the NSA, FBI, CIA, ATF, DoD, and just about any other agency you can think of is going to spy on you anyway.

Seriously. Not sure why we are not holding pitch forks storming the castle right now over this crap. I guess at the end of the day the world (not just the USA) doesn't care about individual liberties or the right to privacy anymore. :*(

I don't care about resolution because I have a PC for that. I am getting consoles for features (like X1 snap/1080p kinect video chat, or PS4 DVR features) and for console exclusives.
