Maybe because CD Projekt doesn't make a game where a simple gamepad isn't enough to handle all the control options needed? Maybe because their games are miniscule in size and depth compared to what Star Citizen is going to accomplish?

I'm NOT bashing the Witcher series. Its one of my favorite series ever. But you really can not compare a Witcher game to what Star Citizen is. There is simply no comparison.

And this is why I can't wait for this game. Nothing dumbed down!

I've got a feeling Ryse isn't going to review very well.. which is why we have not seen any yet.

This game is the biggest reason I want a launch X1.

Seeing as how MS is launching in more than just one territory it should be no problem to achieve such numbers. Selling that many in just the US though could prove to be a challenge since Sony launched first with a cheaper priced console.

I'm pretty sure anyone that is in to pirating won't mind taking out a few screws to get at the HDD. And given that it is x86 based I foresee it being cracked fairly soon.

I play it on the PC and it isn't a "broken mess" for me or any of the ~20 people I play with on a regular basis.

It could be a bad review. But I thought KZ3 was a 7.5 game. KZ2? AWESOME! KZ3? 7.5.

So if all this game does is just make KZ3 with prettier graphics it could be a legit review. But lets face it. Reviews are just personal opinions. I know a lot of people that think my favorite games are 5.0 and the same in reverse.

As I said, I am still going to play it no matter what the reviewers say.

I'm still gonna rent it I guess. I've enjoyed a lot of 7.5 rated games just fine.

Even though I am almost 100% positive the PS4 will outperform the X1 never forget these stealth chips started with the 360 and the Ana chip used for up-scaling everything to 1080p.

If I had to bet MS has a few stealth chips as well in the X1.

But my money (already spent!!) is on the PS4 being the graphical powerhouse king this new generation.

I figured this was the case about background streaming having its own dedicated setup. (and then they confirmed it previously) But I wonder if it handles anything else? 256mb of RAM seems excessive for such a simple task alone so I am sure it does more.

This reminds me of when they found the Ana chip in the 360 which allows it to upscale anything independent of the CPU.

Glad I ordered my PS4. Can't wait till Wed. to play it.

Most of it IS console/fanboy wars. But a lot of people were thinking that the "next generation" would bring in the era of ONLY 1080p+ (4k rumors, remember?) and were let down that their hardware on both platforms were not exactly the upgrade they had imagined.

The rest of us know that while having a higher resolution is fantastic if possible its better to have a sub-1080p game with more visuals options set high or better post-processing effects.

@decrypt you are completely correct. That wasn't even a high end GPU when it launched on PC. It was mid-range. (7870 was the high end model)

And don't try actual logic with the majority of the people on this site. Some will understand that a console has its limitations by simply being a console which is the whole point of a console.

Others will swear it really does have some magical high end GPU (when the total cost of the PS4 doesn't match a high en...

Jaggies are less noticeable the higher the native resolution. However having better/higher Anti-aliasing running on the PS4 could be the reason it seemed to have less (but still very noticeable!) aliasing.

So it is possible that even though the PS4 had less jaggies than the xbox1 version it could have been just better AA and not a higher native resolution.

Not sure why everyone is so up in arms about it though. This game looks like last gen trash with a new se...

I think if you've got the money and want a couple of their launch games that is more than enough reason to buy it.

But I do understand what they are saying. For me other than Killzone (maybe, I'm not a killzone fan thought I did enjoy part 2) there is not much at launch I want. Yes the PS4 is the OBVIOUS choice for multi-plat games... if you don't have a gaming PC like I do. I already own BF4 on PC. So not buying it again for PS4. Infamous, Deep Down, The Division, D...

@vallencer - Dead Rising 2 on the PC maxed out looked pretty good. I'm still hoping Dead Rising 3 comes to the PC or PS4 since I am still not sure if I'm going to get an X1 or not.

Even though they have inferior hardware by almost unanimous opinion the Wii proves this may not be a deal breaker in terms of hardware units sold.

What MS need to work on is exclusives. Sony had them beat hands down in the total number of highly rated exclusives.

And then take people like me for example. I really enjoyed the 360 in comparison to my PS3 but even most of the "exclusives" for the 360 were also available on my PC so I chose to pick up ...

@Bathyj -

I think it isn't so much "loyal" MS fans jumping ship to the PS4 next time around as it is people who just like a product based on its merits.

My ps3 collected dust other than when I played the Uncharted series or FF Tactics that I DLed off of PSN. I played the hell out of my Xbox360 early in the consoles lifecycle because most multiplat games were better optimized on the 360 and even though I had to pay money I felt the 360 had a be...

Not everyone had an HDTV or graphics capable of pushing 1080p resolutions like PCs did back in 2000 but eventually the tech became mainstream thanks to early enthusiast adopters and now 1080p TVs/Monitors and gfx cards with enough VRAM to push that rez are so widespread they are dirt cheap.

This is the same thing. Those of us with the money and inclination will buy these types of set-ups driving demand while eventually lowering the cost as more competition arises.

I just get a support class with a scope and tripod. I can easily out-camp and kill snipers while being more useful to the team with the suppressive fire and free ammo.
