Nice writeup - I was actually prepared to disagree because I started to come around on Ultimate Team after not "getting it" in the past few years but when I looked at it from a type of Fantasy Football lens it made more sense. That being said the UFC Ultimate Team is indeed ridiculous and the article here did a good job of giving the history of UT and just how messed up it is to have this in UFC. The choice of making it control a single fighter is mind boggling, and I can't thin...

Looking forward to this one for a while - thrilled it's finally coming out and excited to see what people think. Love the analogy to strategy game in the article too - the art style and all look like something that I'll really enjoy. Cannot wait!

Can't get over that smiling alien in XCOM 2 - after seeing some Far Cry Primal stuff this week I'm much more interested since it doesn't look like a simple expansion/pallet swap

These seem like things to look for in...any game. While yes, I'll be looking for them, I'll be mostly trying to figure out if the game is something that can grab, and hold my interest over months. More interesting to me will be if it can hold up as a single player experience.

Good to see the near-universal praise - had my eye on it for a while, and a great time for this one to come out.

I think Destiny is just the easiest comparison, like the author said near the end there. I can agree that the "grounded in reality" stuff is really cool and adds that gravity, especially how it's a scenario that's plausible. I love the idea of christmas decorations being left up, and NY being spooky when empty. Still very excited for this one, and hoping to see that Ubisoft sparkle again - which coincidentally I'm seeing a bit of going back to AC Syndicate.

It seems like he just listed the biggest games of the year and his gripes with them as "disappointments". The update is pretty weird as well;

"Update: Just to clarify, in case I wasn’t clear, many of these disappointments were still games I played and enjoyed, sometimes a great deal. Just because something isn’t what you expected, and just because you might feel letdown because of that, doesn’t mean there isn’t still a great deal to love about it.

Awesome to hear - as I said in the review I really think the options in the way of modes help the game quite a bit. I was so conflicted with the not so great and the super great in this game, but at the end of the day it's an awesome Star Wars game in my opinion.

Played on Xbox One for review here and didn't have problems beyond a few instances of frame rate dropping, but still not to 0 or anything that I consider experience breaking. It seems Gerstmann had a bad time, and that sucks, but idk if I just got lucky or what - not one jarring glitch or error through 40+ hours.

Having reviewed it myself, I really didn't find the issues Jeff did - but I do typically take their opinions into consideration and most of the staff there at GB doesn't seem to just react emotionally so I typically put a bit more stake in their stuff. While I disagree with him having played a ton of it so far, I see his points, and I might've just been lucky and not had bugs beyond a few frame drops, I'll look forward to the Bombcast to hear the rest of the team's input ...

Pretty good stuff! I have to say that I like to read the experiences or stories that happened to the reviewer that made the game either frustrating or awesome so including some more of those would be great, namely in the Story and Gameplay sections - it usually helps me think in terms of "yeah I can agree with those feelings" or "nah not for me but ok". I might be a minority on the vocal internet, but I really want to know how the reviewer received and interpreted scenes, ...

Agreed - I think there's a huge following for BlOps2 but it just wasn't my thing, I moved on pretty quickly and I'm hoping the team does a few things to keep me in this one. It won't help that its a few days before Fallout and then there's Star Wars Battlefront, but I did like what I played in the beta for multiplayer, which is more than I can say for a majority of COD multiplayer in years past.

haha thank you - I have to say I was pretty proud of it. Thanks for checking the review out!

to @phoniebasher247's point it was Sony that declined EA Access saying it wasn't a good value for PlayStation fans; http://www.gamespot.com/art...

I can agree with you there, I think the game still looks pretty good and my fears have, for the most part, been put aside by seeing the game in just the right amount of a slow drip- I wouldn't mind seeing this series ongoing as well, but would hate if it became an annual or even bi-annual series. I'd rather the next entry really takes its time and refines the experience and expands on it. Still very excited for this one though, we're in for an awesome year of games.

From the preview event I went to, they're honestly perfect - they're timed well, the music and overall style is extremely good. I noticed the gameplay takes the forefront, but all this worry about cutscenes is really nothing to be concerned about - it seems like they nailed the way to use cutscenes effectively. This was after about 15 hours of gameplay and being just about one mission short of getting to Africa far as I could tell, I just got Quiet as a buddy, I cannot wait for Tuesda...

Why no link to the source article or report? It's mentioned that it's Euromonitor, which is wonderful, but there's no sourcing done that might give more insight.

I'd like to see the numbers in a bit more detail if possible, I know that Euromonitor is pricey for some reports (Sony's profile is $570 USD) so I'm curious if this is based off a company profile, or a true market analysis. Just a thought for future market stuff like this that a summary is gr...

If you're looking for something fresh, I think this has a really good mix of the old and the new - it's the first time in a while that I've gone from "probably pass" to "probably snag" in terms of a COD game. This paired with Treyarch doing a decent SP campaign job in the past, making the campaign online co-op, and zombies looks more robust than ever, it's shaping up to be really cool.

That being said though for me personally Nov is Fallou...
