I don't understand the thinking that these "one version is better than the other (ps3-vs-360)" really has any impact on sales of a game. People always talk like that's a big deciding factor. It has even less of an impact on high profile titles like RDR. Y'all do realize that something like less than 3% of console owners actually own multiple consoles, right? Most just buy one and stick with it. And then you gotta figure that of that 3% alot of those are probably people t...

Agreed. Me and a couple friends have talked about this time and time again before. Sony has some great studios that can stand in greatness just own their own. But then you get to see how they share ideas and collaborate with each other, just puts them on a whole other level. That's why time and time again Sony keeps putting out some of the greatest games this generation and will continue doing so. This kind of collaboration and support is why I'll never have any reason to move beyond ...

I second Pennywise. Yes you did. That frustration is part of what made that game so great. Plenty of times I died on my way to a bloodstain and lost all my souls. But that frustration and difficulty just makes it all that much better when you finally do get past a part that's kicking your ass. Or even more fun when you level up a good bit, then come to revisit a part later that gave you trouble earlier. Exacting vengeance on all those damn monsters that posed problems to you before.

Don't question my integrity when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. I'm sure I know FAR more about the rules and guidelines...

This game looks fun. Really like the concept and what I've seen. The "set pieces" idea just looks awesome. Just a shame it's coming out amongst so many other games that take top-booking in comparison. Between ModNation and then GT5 later this year, my racing needs are met and anything else would be oversaturation for me. I just can't spend too much time in one genre. Though I do have a friend who's buying it, so maybe I'll give it a spin at his house sometime.

All flamebait drivel aside, I'm just glad to see Heavy Rain selling well no matter what position that puts it on the chart. Great game and all too often the greater games go unappreciated in terms of sales (hell I guess that goes for all mediums of entertainment really). Very nice to see Heavy Rain getting the recognition it deserves though. Great game. Best example of storytelling in my opinion this generation. Loved it.

Agreed. I've been looking forward to this game for quite a while and glad it's finally coming. Looks to be shaping up well. The gameplay seems very cool and love the concept of the game. Very excited for it. Unfortunately though it will have to be put on hold. RDR and ModNation are going to be consuming my time for a while.

Definitely will be picking this up later though. Espionage-RPG just sounds bad as hell. As far as I'm concerned I don't get all the concer...

It's funny: people get excited about these "complete editions" all the time. But turn to the movie side of things and they get up in arms about studios releasing Movie X one month, then about 6months down the line they release "Movie X the Director's Cut/Special Edition". I don't see the difference really. Yet for some reason people eat it up here.

Personally I don't have a problem with it. Just funny seeing the two different reactions to p...

Very very true in my opinion. I think this one is going to go right up there with Super Mario Kart and CTR for me. I can't wait.

Yea definitely getting both myself too. Both already pre-ordered. In fact, I had ModNation preordered before RDR. While I'm sure RDR is going to be awesome (can't wait), for me ModNation just seems like it's going to be...awesomer (sic). All I know though is both should be great and both are going to be draining ALOT of my time coming up. Luckily I'm just now finishing up Assassin's Creed II (yes I know I'm late to it, but I didn't get it til just recently--cause i...

That's what actually makes this an awesome deal MovieScouse. Because all those basic functions/features will still be there for people like us who don't want to pay to play online, or don't need anything else or don't play online often enough to have to pay just to play online. You're not paying for that here. You're paying for extra features. And I'm positive Sony can come up with features that will get people to pay for said features. I gotta say, a free PSN game...

I'm with you, Raven, in that I don't play online much at all either. Luckily for us though, it'll still remain free for when we want to go online every once in a while.

I think it's misrepresentative when people keep saying "I don't want to have to pay for online" though. As it's not the online you'll be paying for, basically it's just a premium PSN that you're paying for. So it's those extra features that they're selling...

@mantismo
That's actually a brilliant idea. Sizes. Cause I for one love the size of the playstation controller as it is (and the ergonomics and everything). Of course I do have smaller hands, so I can at least understand people with bigger hands wanting a bigger controller. Selling multiple sizes would be absolutely brilliant. Though it would be interesting going in to buy a PS4 at the store and the clerk has to ask your size lol or you can't get it cause they don't have y...

I'm with you Raf. For some reason, when I've played my friend's xbox before, I can NOT get past that asymmetry of the controller. I absolutely need that symmetry that the playstation controller provides. That 360 controller just feels....unnatural (like you said.

Also, I do NOT want them to make the playstation controller bigger like the 360 controller. The 360 controller is just too bulky for me. Maybe I have small hands or something, but the 360 controller just ...

Wow. Not even the same thing at all. That is the furthest stretch I have ever witnessed in my life. One is a company knowingly selling faulty hardware. The other is a company protecting their investment by removing a loophole that exploits their software.

It can be argued that you aren't buying that software when you buy the system, you're just leasing it so to speak which allows Sony to keep complete control of it. This is more akin to (since you want to use a MS exa...

I'll help you out with that. This is a direct quote from the TOS that has been in effect since 2008. Even the older ones before that said it but I can't be hassled to look up the earliest one, the 2008 one is just the one I can more readily find. Anyways, from the 2008 TOS:
"Some content or services may be provided automatically without notice when you sign into PSN. Such content or service may include automatic updates or upgrades which may change your current operating ...

I was just reading over that link there. Didn't know about that. That's cool I guess (doesn't effect me really). What I did notice is this though....I find it funny how bad Tretton gets flamed for not saying "timed exclusive" or wording it so that it sounded exclusive to the PS3, but this is pretty much common business practice for MS with EVERY game they put out like that and nobody says anything. Just a humorous thing I've noticed.

Not to bash Demon's Souls (god I loved the game, seriously can't wait for part two), but didn't what you just said pretty much contradict itself?

You basically said DS had more net traffic than UC2 basically because UC2 was an amazing sequel to an amazing game. So people already expected that. Whereas DS got alot of buzz because it was something new. And moreso, something new that delivered on a big level.

BUT....wouldn't DS2 fall under that ...

Oh.....I will also add there are a couple more things to look for when going LCD. Personally I own a plasma so for plasma buyers/owners these things aren't an issue. But if in the market for LCD, refresh rate and response time. Especially for stuff like video games and even watching sports or fast action movies, these are very important as you'll want that screen processing and refreshing quicker to keep up with the fast pace of the video. Of course this is only something LCD buyers/o...

Really the things you need to look for are in fact: Resolution (need to determine whether you need 1080p or if 720p is fine for you--of course with the prices of 1080p dropping like they are now, no sense in not just going all the way).

Also size. Don't just automatically assume that bigger is better. The size of the screen needs to fit into where you're going to be viewing it. Meaning, you don't want to get a 60" TV if you're going to be sitting 3ft away...
