That's exactly why I feel Heavy Rain might possibly have one of the slowest starts I've experienced in a game, but it's one of the greatest games I've played especially this generation.
Agreed that it was pretty much necessary. And it was helpful in familiarizing the gamer with the controls. But it definitely was slow. And that becomes painstakingly more noticeable on multiple play throughs. But yes it was almost a necessary evil, just no denying it was slow.
I actually have to agree with Heavy Rain. It's even more noticeable on multiple playthroughs. The game is absolutely awesome and probably some of the most brilliant storytelling I've seen in a game (maybe the best this generation for me). However, that beginning is slow. Agreed. ModNation is one of my more anticipated this year. I would easily put that in this list over Lost Planet. 3d dot too. Though 3d dot is going to have to wait cause I'm already getting ModNation and Red Dead this month. That should fill me for a lil while.
I don't know. I kind like High Velocity as it is. For that particular game (bowling) holding the controller the way you have to just feels more natural feeling than holding a "stick". Just feels more like holding a ball than a stick would. That's what I really liked about High Velocity Bowling was the way it felt bowling as opposed to when I tried the bowling on Wii (which is pretty much what the PS Move's "wand" would deliver in terms of feel).

Even moreso I'm really looking forward to another Play, Create, Share game that seems alot more accessible this time around. I'll admit it, LBP was just complex as hell for me when it came to creating levels. This one seems so much easier and user-friendly. I'm very much looking forward to getting in there and creating my own tracks.
Definitely a great deal for this game. I would gladly pay $40 for this which is arguably one of my most anticipated games this year. Unfortunately I get the game for free :P. A friend is buying it for me since he owes me a game (I gave him my GOW3 after I was done with it to complete his collection). So ModNation for free for me....PLUS I get the Kratos skin! But definitely this is an awesome deal that people should jump on. If my friend didn't owe me I would've gladly paid $60 for this game....
Yea I would definitely beat the game at least once on your own without the guide. It would be a total waste and a letdown if you read the guide first, ruins the story for you. You want to experience that on your own. Then after that initial play through you can go back and use the guide since you know the story (and more importantly the killer) by that point. I will say though, without the guide, actually getting all the endings might be very time consuming. For one, the guide shows you a way...
I think there are 17 different epilogues. But only need 7 different endings to see all the endings (and earn that trophy for all endings). The things is that the different epilogues/endings overlap. For example, there are 4 main characters. At the end of each game you can get multiple "endings", one for each character. Yea same with me. I'll just be on and off with a MP Shooter game. That's how I've been since back in the SOCOM days. That online part is just a lil something I keep on the side to tide me over when I don't have other things to play really. GOW and Heavy Rain though knocked me off of playing MAG. Given the name and the format of it, I'd probably almost say the AC game is going to be like a PSP or DS game or something like that. Not an actual main series release for next gen consoles. Just one of those side stories that appears on the handhelds.

I can see this score and it's fine. The thing here too is 3/5 for me really more accurately translates to like 80. 5/5 is "perfect" (100 is "perfect"), 4/5 is near "perfect" (90 is near "perfect"). I've left it for the time being (just cause I'm not much into playing online shooters excessively and need breaks often from them), but I have every intention to go back (just have too many other games in queue right now. I will definitely get back into the fray at some point though. In fact, this pack might make me at least pop in for a few rounds (have a sniper character myself)
I'm with you tommyboy. RDR and ModNation are the two I'm getting. I want 3D dot too but that's going to wait a lil bit since I want the other two more. Also, I agree that Split/Second looks cool, but I think I'm going to end up passing on that since I have enough racing (once I add in ModNation) to tide me over til GT5.
Also, Alpha Protocol comes out June 1st and I really want that one as well.

Actually you're wrong. You shouldn't pay a lick of attention to the listed contrast ratio for a TV at all. Why? Is it because contrast ratio isn't important? Not really, because to a degree it is. The problem is there is no set universal measurement for contrast ratio and numbers get inflated and such. So that 3000:1 you see plastered on the tv doesn't mean a thing. Depending on the manufacturers you could find a 3000:1 tv that outperforms a 6000:1 tv in term...
