I agree, this looks amazing. Me and friends used to have LOTS of fun with mario kart. and this is kinda like that but you can build you're own tracks too. I'm so very much onboard with them on this game. I'll probably end up getting it day one.
It's funny cause in another thread i had just mentioned how i hadn't really seen anybody talking about this game much at all.
Yea, i have to go with Uncharted 2 as well because, well..'cause.......damn that demonstration was amazing! And i absolutely loved the first game. i beat the game in one sitting. came straight home from buying it, played it nonstop (minus a couple bathroom breaks) and didn't stop til the credits rolled roughly 10 hours later. and i fully expect the second one to be just as engrossing.
that said, all three of these are day ones for me. even though i do sadly have to admit i've nev...
Is there a demo for this coming out? I'd like to try it out. While I'm sure this will be fun (or at least nostalgic) for Ghostbusters fans (and who wasn't, to some degree, if you grew up in our generation) but i'm thinking this might just end up being put on my "pick it up way later when i don't have anything else to play at the moment and the game is like $15" list. That would at least let me save up that extra $60 for when I start getting bled dry beginning this fall.
It's "piqued", not "peaked".
I never have, and never will, buy any of these limited editions like this. Pay 150% of the price just to get a few little extras? No thanks. Like sniper up there said anyways, even if i did want the "goodies", i have WAY too many other games i want to buy too and that high mark-up would be cutting into them. as if i'm not going to be broke enough as it is.
Why would they be against selling them at the end of the month? you really think the big-wigs over at Sony are so wrapped up in this one-upsmanship, that fanboys at n4g are wrapped up in, that they bypass all logic and don't look at big picture numbers and factor in the fact that these numbers are for just a week? NPD does not in any way dictate how well a game is going to sell.
By the way, to all the people who were talking about "haha ps3 owners don't by games. how does Su...
Actually it IS the 360's GT. I really don't think anybody (or any logical person here) is trying to bash Forza per se. Cause Forza does look like it's going to be a good game, and it's well on it's way to establishing itself as a very good racing franchise on the xbox. The beef here is that Take 10 needs to shut the hell up. Quit running that mouth. Them (and xbots) keep trying to act like GT isn't worth a damn anymore and that PD has fallen off and their skill as developers has went the way ...
I loved this game. Granted i was late to the party, but after hearing about it so much for a while i ended up picking it up at a discounted price at walmart one night and wow am i glad i did. this game was amazing. great fun, the story was very good. just all around great. the only thing is: i do still harbor a lil resentment towards this game because (and i'll fess up to it) the bastards made me cry. i hated them for that lol. i won't give away any spoilers just in case, but for those that p...
Um....you realize GT supports force feedback too right? And i know i've played past GT games where i could adjust things like damper, brakes, gear ratios, spoiler, spring rate, tire types, ride height, and so on and so on. and ALL of these adjustments could potentially make a HUGE difference in how your car drove. all this stuff isn't new, GT has been doing it a while now. the only difference is maybe Forza has added different things you can adjust.
And something else, people kee...
I'm really liking the way this looks. How easy it seemed to make your own track. Then it appears to be a MarioKart meets LBP. God, i can't even tell you how much time me and friends put into sitting down and just battling/racing on MarioKart (and CTR). This looks to bring that same kind of fun.
I agree both games are probably going to be great racing games. PS3 owners will get a great racing game (can't wait for it), and xbox owners will get a great racing game for theirselves (doesn't concern me). I wouldn't go and say Forza is the most realistic. As far as i'm concerned (and it appears alot of professional drivers, still) GT has the better physics.
And for those that are like: "He's just confident in his product." Actually, while i'm sure that yes he has a g...
Um....isn't that the very definition of a sleeper hit? Meaning it sold much better than the hype it got. It outdid expectations. Maybe you don't understand the term? or maybe you didn't realize he was talking about the first Uncharted when he said "sleeper hit"?
lol exactly. great job at illustrating the gayness of it, really. in fact, i might go so far as to delete someone from my friends list if they seriously tried to convince me to come into their home just to look at their trophies. though i can SOOOOO see guys trying to pick up girls/"girls" showing off their trophy collection lol "hey baby, look how big this one is"
some mildly interesting bits of news here. i always do like seeing that behind-the-scenes kind of stuff. actually halfway surprised Sony still has that kind of favor with SE, after the way SE has sort of been ignoring them for the most part this generation, thought SE had turned their backs on Sony. and that does explain why Kojima was a bit pissy. Also, i don't get this big deal about the charge towards developers on PSN. no matter how much you sell, they're still only charging you a percent...
I disagree. "Huge online frag fest"--from what i gather, that's EXACTLY what they're working so hard to avoid. and if they do that and pull this off in getting people to stick with strategy and not make it all utter chaos, then this game could be the most awesome online game i've ever played
oh yea, how could i forget: and "i want my virtual trophy room". seriously? are people that concerned with showing off their accomplishments in some flashy way moreso than they are gaming? I dont' see the reason for this whatsoever, sounds even more useless than cross-game chat, which, in my opinion, is VASTLY overrated. here's an idea: how about gaming for the fun of it, rather than the ability to be able to show off to everyone how super awesome you are with all your cute lil trop...
I'm not exactly sure I'd consider R&C a AAA franchise. Though undoubtedly they have had AAA titles within the franchise (some other titles not quite as good). But i will say this, it's as much a AAA franchise as Splinter Cell is like all these fanboys keep wanting to claim (which i've actually loved most of all the Splinter Cells i played back in ps2 days). So i think in actuality (depending on the title) it's one of those franchises that straddles between AAA and highly rated AA for the ...
Actually, the average PS3 gamer is probably more like mid to late 20s.
But seriously people come on, enough with the "Price cut coming" stuff. It's like lather, rinse, repeat with these industry guys. Keep repeating it and sure you're bound to be right one day. I just can't wait for the day it happens so I can read about all these reporters and whatnot going "Oh yea, i called it. look at that", then i'll laugh just thinking about "yea? what about those o...
I think people are really overly critical of Home. Maybe it's because they think it's supposed to be some kind of game or something? I don't get the gripe so much. It does exactly as it's meant to do: a social networking program (with some minigames thrown in for good measure). I've had plenty fun in Home on occasions. Granted yes there are several things that could made better about Home. For instance, that waiting in line thing is tiresome. Though i would like to hear their reasoning for th...
Yes I'm fully aware of this. Just there are many facets of marketing, and I felt that the showmanship (in this "omg look at their technology that's old but they totally pull off as new and innovative" scenario) is really the part of the marketing game that everybody gets caught up in. A subgenre if you will. Sort of like how you can't just call Tool, rock music, rather got to break it down to something like progressive rock or such. Just driving deeper to the root of the problem tha...
lol never.
Thinking on this more, i also forgot that Heavy Rain i'm very much looking forward to and it will most definitely deserve an honorable mention if it turns out to be half as good as i hope it to be.
Then of course there is Ratchet and Clank, White Knight, Demon Souls, Fat Princess, Pixeljunk Shooter. Not to mention the multiplat titles i want this year. god i'm going to go broke gaming.
**hmmm.....plotting an evil plan now. maybe i can stay ins...
