Just because they reviewed the game using the 360 doesn't mean it doesn't also apply to the PS3. You know most sites do that right? They tend to just play a game on one console and use that review for their thoughts on the game, period. On both platforms. Most don't actually sit down and play the same game on both platforms. The ones that really do that are the ones wanting to scrutinize every little difference and imperfection in the two versions just so they can flame up the fanboy wars.

LOL Harder. Indeed it was plenty hard enough. I'm fine with them not upping the difficulty in the sequel. I'll be right there in line no matter what though when DS2 comes out. I probably have to agree one of the greatest RPGs. In fact, DS along with Valkyria Chronicles are my two favorite RPGs this generation.

Speaking of which, VC way down at #41? Not even remotely. That game easily makes it into my Top 10 PS3 games and quite possibly the Top 5. Let's see.....UC1, UC2, DS, GOW3....

It's for only the first 2,000 people too, so keep that in mind people.

I know right? I played it again on easy just to do a real quick run through and use all those treasures and just to enjoy the story again. I ended up maxing absolutely everything out by time i was no more than 3/4 of the way through the game. Why would you need a glitch for something this easy?

P.S. People like to complain about the cost of video games but I think it's a bit over-exaggerated.

For example: We're all plenty happy to pay $15 for a DVD or even $20-25 for a Blu-ray movie. That's (we'll take an average) $20 for 2 hours (another average) of non-interactive entertainment. That translates to $10/hour. Whereas even with an 8 hour game we're only paying $7.50/hour of INTERACTIVE entertainment (the interactive part should actually make it more valuable than movie...

My god. The real story here in this thread? That people are arguing a pro case for the poor grammar. Really thinking that "it's" can also mean "its" and even going so far as being condescending (go back and read 6th grade English book) while doing it.

Yes people, and apostrophe can be used for possession. For example: Tom's hat, grandma's cookie, Australia's coasts, the dog's teeth, etc. That's for nouns though. In the case of pronouns the apostrophe is never...

Let me guess....you also were one of those that wouldn't support a good PS3 game that had no trophy support?

I have no problem at all paying up $60 for a single-player only experience. Just so long as it's not those lazy developers that are making games that can be beat in like 5 hours.

I on the other hand find it very hard to justify spending that much money on games that rely solely on their online portion, games like COD that have no single-player worth mentionin...

My sentiments exactly. That's exactly how I feel. Miss those days where single-player and great gameplay was the focus rather than generic multiplayer tack-ons.

These developers really want to make games worthwhile with lots of playability, then how about stepping up the games themselves. I remember back in the day it was actually a challenge to beat most games. It took forever and was an accomplishment when you actually beat a game. These days, at best, beating a game is just some...

Yes this is satirical. It even says so at the end.

That being said, I absolutely HATE this multiplayer trend that has been swarming gaming this generation. Any day of the week I would prefer great single-player experience over a good multiplayer. There are very few multiplayer games that even keep my attention long enough. The most recent being MAG. Even that still gets old to me after a while. Want replayability? Then make a single-player game that's so compelling and filled wi...

As far as what's officially announced, I think that list looks pretty good there. Only problem is: the order is way out of wack for me. For mine it would be:

1. SOCOM 4
2. GT5
3. ModNation Racers
4. Agent (which could move up a spot once we actually see something)
5. The Last Guardian

After FF13, I'll have to really get a better look at Versus to see if I want it. My anticipation and excitement for 13 just drained as more and more came to ligh...

First off, whether they agree with you in everything or not, hardcore pc gamers usually are elitists. Whether they may agree with what you yourself say or not, the common characteristic in 90% of you pc gamers is this mentality like "Oh WE are the real gamers. WE are the only ones who truly know gaming and game on the REAL king of platforms". Always the same. "PC version is superior. PC version this. PC version that. blah blah blah". Never fails. Even funnier is when I see...

@Evrfighter

Notice I said "CONSOLE". That does in fact make a difference. Look, we all know you hate the PS3 (for whatever reason), and we get you're a PC fanboy (which is funny since you seem to always want to mask your ps3 hate as just attack PS3 "fanboys", but get over it. There was a specific reason I said CONSOLE. Armed Assault being that very reason. To me though, gaming on a PC and gaming on a console are two totally different beasts. So once again, as ...

@Pirate
I actually didn't mind Confrontation. Once it was all patched up and all that, the game was a really fun experience. I think the letdown about Confrontation was that it wasn't a true SOCOM game. Meaning there was no single player. That was the huge letdown of it. To me, the single player aspect has been what really made SOCOM.

@Truth
The question isn't if it's third-person or first-person. The real question is: is it a regular shooter or is it a tactical shoot...

Holy shti!!! This is AWESOME news. This makes me feel like some giddy schoolgirl reading this. This truly has made my day. Huge SOCOM fan here. SOCOM was easily one of my favorite franchise, if not THE favorite, on ps2. I have been SERIOUSLY craving a new SOCOM game so bad it isn't even funny.

After being disappointed to find out Confrontation was online only. Then after Operation Flashpoint not living up to my expectations, I gotta say this is an awesome breath of fresh air. To...

The game has sold over 3 million. I would say that's pretty good. I'm sure MM is plenty happy about that number. 3 million is nothing to sneeze at. While, yes, I would've loved to see LBP sell like 10 million, that just wasn't feasible (even if it deserves it). MM has made lots of money off of the game (especially if you factor in all the DLC). So I wouldn't call LBP a fail or anything by any stretch of the imagination. Afterall, it was also a new IP in a new genre.

I would call...

I actually just saw a video for this Joe Danger game (while watching the GTTV GOW thing) and it looks pretty cool. Excitebike meets LittleBigPlanet is EXACTLY what I thought. Looks pretty cool in that respect.

On that note, I don't think Media Molecule missed an opportunity here. In fact, I think they played it right just the way they did it. Yes, it would've been cool to have had pre-made vehicles in LBP, but doesn't mean they lost out just because they didn't. In fact I prefer ...

For the iPhone, not the iPad. That WOULD be ridiculous. But this is for the iPhone. Something that's been in the works for quite a while now.

I think that pretty much sums it up there. Also like the article points out, yes, it's hyperbole. The guy is exaggerating, I'm sure he knows that others will try to be creative even if he does fail. His point, however, is that people will be less inclined to do so if they look at a game like this, that ventures off the beaten path, and see that it does poorly.

And basically he's saying this is sort of a milestone in gaming here (or very well could be), we're at a point where we'r...
