lol absolutely agreed. I love those people. They don't read a damn thing, and then when it gets pointed out to them they whine about it. The even funnier part--this condition ("loss of data") has been in there from the beginning. I love how people don't read then whine because they didn't know, though.

Funny story: I actually saw a guy a couple weeks back that was claiming Sony could be sued for the Other OS thing because most people don't even read those ToS. Ignoranc...

How can you complain about an option to backup not being there, then when somebody points how how you do it, you just complain about how it's done? It's too inconvenient for you? Seriously? That's reason to just flat out flame them? Well guess what, the backing up process, period, is too much of an inconvenience for me. I'd much rather just talk aloud and use a voice command and then instantaneously all my files are backed up. Til I get that I'll just whine and cry about "not being able ...

Sony has long had their asses covered. This is nothing new here. The whole "loss of data" was in the ToS for quite a while now (if not from the start). And the ToS will hold up in a court of law (doesn't matter if people didn't read it and understand it), so nothing is going to happen to them over the OS thing either. Sony isn't stupid.

Agreed. I was wondering what people were whining about here. I read the ToS fairly extensively just to use as a rebuttal because of people whining about the Other OS thing and I clearly remember the whole "loss of data" being in there when I read that weeks ago. So this is nothing new. And I don't see how people are whining about this. This ultimately is no different than Western Digital not being responsible for any data loss that you may incur due to their HDD failing.

Seriously? People are mad about this? Honestly, when was the last time the manual was anything other than useless? They've become worthless anymore.

Controls? You're usually taken through a lil "tutorial" section at the beginning of most games that explains the controls to you if needed. Other than that the manual provides nothing usually.

The last time I remember manuals being useful was back in the old days when you actually did have to write down codes, ...

I think that's exactly what they're talking about though. Something like GT5P. And call it what you will but essentially it was a "demo". Just not in the traditional sense. More of an "extended demo". And I think that's what they're talking about here. Not the lil 15minute demos that you see on PSN all the time. GT5P was nothing but an extended demo, don't care how you want to spin it. I was satisfied with it for the money, and it was a good lil taste before we get the ful...

I'm really excited about this game (have been since last year). I think it could end up being one of my favorite this year. And honestly, I don't think it's getting enough attention and hype. It sounds like a great game and really looking forward to it.

God I can't wait for this to hit the states. I'm going to steal my roommate's PSP just for this. The first one was just amazing.

In all honesty, what incentive do they have to put BC back into the PS3 considering the sales of the PS2 are still going strong. Of course they see people want the PS2 and are willing to buy it. That's the whole reason it's still out there. Putting BC back into the PS3 would almost be the final nail for the PS2. They don't want that, they want to milk that PS2 for as long as it can go.

If we ever do see BC again in PS3, it won't be til the PS2 really loses steam. Sony makes more...

What's the big deal with this news? Y'all act like this means we'll be getting updates sooner and have to wait less time for things and whatnot. But after that initial week, we'll still be waiting a week in between updates. So it doesn't matter which day of the week it falls on, it's still once a week, with...still....7days between each update.

Agreed. Glad EU finally gets this awesome game and finally gets to enjoy what the rest of the world has (granted they could import before). Enjoy though our EU brethren. Great game not to be missed by any of the genre.

That's what I'm talking about. Survival horrors. The ones that are more mindf*cks and actually scary. Most horror games these days are really that way. They're those "action horrors"....like RE5. I'll pass on those. The beginning of the RE franchise and games like Silent Hill, that's what we need nowadays, not these cheap "action horrors". Fatal Frame was another good one.

I remember a game when I was a teenager that I played. It was called D. The suspense on ...

Agreed. There haven't been nearly enough. Not true horror games. Like those disturbingly, mindf*ck, psychological horror type of games. We need those more. Though this does say "action horror" so not sure it's going to be what I hope it will be.

First off let me say, don't diss Asia when it comes to horror films. Some of the scariest movies I've seen where from Asia. They do it different than here in the Western world but they do a great job in my opinion. Now I've never seen the Japanese versions of The Ring or Grudge (US versions left such a bad taste in my mouth--horrible movies--that I had no desire to go watch them). Though I do at least here the Japanese version of Ring is a great movie, just not sure I could watch it without t...

@chaosis
I agree with your sentiment indeed. Hackers are just ruining this stuff because they can't let well enough alone and have to try to see how "awesome" they are. Though I will say this: if you can manage to read my huge post several places above, I touch on it, but I think Sony did the right there here. This could prevent the whole cat and mouse deal. They nipped it in the bud. See most of the time companies just allow the hackers free reign until the issues DOES become...

@tristanmike

Ok, I wanted to be done with this subject, but after reading your comment I just had to reply.

First off, nobody said Sony cares about the consumer here. I disagree with that, cause Sony has been one of the more giving companies around and the one most likely to listen to the community and deliver. But in this case, nobody has said the reason Sony got rid of the Other OS was to protect its consumers. On the contrary, I think the general consensus is that...

Yea he didn't ever slam KZ2. Not even sure that assumption came along because of fanboys overreacting. Simply that idea got passed around because of one site (a very poor writing site at that) that decided to flamebait the title saying he slammed the game. The only thing he said: At this point Crysis 2 surpasses Killzone 2 (talking about graphics).

As for Halo, he really did slam Halo (don't know where you got that he didn't Hay). He laid into it pretty good. Calling it "bul...

First off, I never got into the MGS series, just couldn't do it. The games didn't appeal to me (wasn't the game style or anything, cause I enjoy Splinter Cell and Hitman), thus I didn't play the new one either. However, I got a couple friends who were into it. One being a diehard fan of the series. And that die hard fan has told me on several occasions now that he was disappointed with MGS4. Repeatedly telling me this (it really irked him, cause he was so hyped for it). Saying the game sucked...

Very nice indeed. Haven't played in a lil while (due to so many other games coming out too) but will definitely be getting back to it and this is a very nice tool to have. Been wanting something like this. Especially with the maps being so big this helps alot to really get a good look at it.

Go push your morals on somebody that cares. This is why people get tired of Christians: always wanting to turn everything into the way THEY want it or think it should be. If you don't like it, go on.

Anybody else see the hypocrisy of "Let's start with the (vulgar) language - this one really pisses me off." Um excuse me, it's "pissed off" considered vulgar? Get out.

And why is his "crusade" against language of all things? Cursing or vulga...
