Sounds cool. Thanks for the info Leshin. I'll definitely have to get around to getting the Selvaria DLC at some point. Might consider picking up the Edy one too.
I would've loved for this to be on PS3. Now, I'm not a portable gamer really, but the first game was amazing, so I'll be borrowing my roommate's PSP just to play this game. Hopefully we can get a sequel on the PS3 one day.
@Leshin
Which DLC did you play? I still want to go back and get the Selvaria one (just been busy with others game right now, but plan to get that one at some point at least). How was hers? I've heard that's really the only one worth the buy.

And from the couple of them that I've played on consoles, none of them turned out well and just didn't transition well to console play. So this will probably be a dud too.
I hope so (then again, not even sure I'm getting this game), but these pics look amazing. Granted that, yes, I'm sure they're PC shots, but if consoles can get close to this....wow!
I'm still hung up on that sky. Just sitting here staring at it between typing lol.
I agree dude, that sky looks amazing. It makes me want to cry lol. Just the details of those clouds and the rays of sunlight. The environment as a whole looks really really good actually. From the sand to the boulders to.....god that sky is f*cking beautiful. THAT is what makes my jaw drop.
Wow, jawDROPPING even (lol sorry oliver). But, damn those do look amazing. Is that really in-game? The most impressive part: just look at those clouds, especially where the sun is shining through. That is utterly amazing.
And, ferm, water doesn't look all that weird to me. Other than it looks like it's contaminated or something. Then again, looking at that last pic, the water does look a lil weird around the rocks, almost like there is a light fog on top of the water which you c...
I'm not sure how Fallout 3 wasn't a quality game if you're saying it's gameplay carried it. I mean, to me, gameplay is the major factor in making a game good.
For me, of those three you named, I think I might actually have to go in reverse order as you. Fallout 3 was better than Killzone 2 which was better than Infamous.
If these are the nominees, then I'd have to go with Fallout 3 as well. Sure, the game had some setbacks to it, but I rather enjoyed the game, thought it was pretty great. To be fair though, I don't own a 360, so I never played Fable II. Gears2--shooters don't do it for me enough to ever be game of the year by my book. KZ2--the same, another shooter, looked great, was fun and all, but at the end of the day it's another shooter. SF IV? I don't know about that. It's a fun game and all, but not e...
Like stated above, I wouldn't even want an open world (or semi) for this game. Too many of those anyways. But the biggest thing is: it would completely ruin the story. The story here is that Joker lured Batman to Arkham and trapped him in. Now if they made it open world you'd have to completely rewrite the game. No thanks. It looks like it's going to be great how it is.
Totally agree. I think they really pegged it here. Especially with the combination of stealth/combat. This is how I've always wanted a Batman game to play out.
I'm with you Sarcasm. We don't need another one of those. Not to mention being able to fly all over the city would completely call for a rewrite of the storyline in this game (which looks like it could be good/fun). At best, maybe not be so "guiding/one-way" as the demo appeared. Allow to explore around a bit or take multiple paths, etc. Of course that was kinda hinted at in the demo with the wall and the grate being ways out, just couldn't do the wall 'cause had no charges (unless ...
This game was already day one for me, but I have to say, I'm even more excited about it after that demo (just finished it up and pretty much loved it). This is a Batman game done right. I like that. I can see how the demo might be a bit off putting for some though as I can see the "simple" comments and understand them. However from what I can tell, you'll 'upgrade' over the course of the game (or they just plain took alot of stuff out for the demo) so it should add more to it. Plays...
Yes! That was actually my first complaint was the camera position when he's just walking along. I think I can eventually get use to that though as it doesn't seem to interfere too much, because, like Dex said, it's very good about getting in the right position when you need it to.
I haven't even finished downloading the demo to play it yet, but I can tell you those pics dont' do the game justice lol. Those really are some poor quality pics. Looks like he took a picture with his cell phone of his tv.
Downloading the Batman demo right now. Just reading some of the comments here is getting me even more excited for the game. I'm impatiently fidgeting as I wait for the download lol. I have high hopes for this game, and it's seeming that it may very well live up to them.
Agreed with mastiff. Of course nothing on this list is a shock. They're not going to publicize their suprises (if they have any) before the actual announcement.
That being said, I'm actually really excited about Cologne and that 3 hour conference. I really do feel Sony have a couple tricks up their sleeves or at least some really big announcements (maybe things we've all already been speculating on that they'll finally end the speculation for with the announcement). To me though,...
Yea I understand the whole "don't bite the hand that feeds you" deal. But I still think, they're complete silence isn't helping their part. If anything they could say something without p*ssing Activision off really (ie that "PR response" I mentioned or something like that). We don't even get so much as a "Activision makes the prices, we just make the game." kind of response. I understand it would take some tiptoeing but give me something at least. But yes, I do u...
Here's my thing though: How "good" is Infinity Ward really? You know through all of this I haven't heard not one word from IW. No stepping up and speaking out against Activision. Not even a simple PR disagreement to say "Hey, we don't agree with this, but it's Activision's call" to save their a$$ in any way. As far as I'm concerned, IW can get bent as well. They're idly sitting by and basically condoning it all without even saying anything.
Yea, I'd say they've tried and exceeded very well. Hell, at this point they're trying to one-up EA I think.
I know, my heart sank a lil bit when I read the title. But thankfully it's just delayed til November. This is actually good news as far as I'm concerned. It clears up October for me a lil bit. That means I only have like 5 games to buy instead of 6 for October.
