Wow. As if I needed any more reason, I officially hate this guy now. I hope that they kick his a$$ to the curb or something. I think this dude has gone well beyond the limit at this point. I really wish somebody would step in and take Activision down a notch (or ten). I will NOT be supporting them with any of my money until they straighten up. If Infinity Ward has to suffer as well, then so be it (especially since I haven't even seen them step up to at least protest against Activision or anyt...
Crash Team Racing is AWESOME! Dude, I can't tell you how much time me and friends put into that game back in the day. Parties every weekend that revolved around the game. CTR, plain and simple, is the sh*t! It's part of the reason I'm so excited for ModNation (now if they'd allow announce a battle mode like CTR had). But yea, CTR is great. I have NOT forgotten about that game by any means though. In fact, I'm still a bit p*ssed to this day that they haven't added it to the US PSN store. I've ...
You know, I had wondered about Siren before as well. I've been wanting a real good horror game recently. Reading all these comments on the game now makes me want to go get it, I think I'm going to have to make that my next download.
Agreed. I'm definitely looking forward to playing that demo. Other than that though, nothing I care for. As for the rumored stuff though, would be nice if Trine surprises us and comes out.
I really want to try that demo as well, I have really high hopes for this game and will definitely be picking it up (so long as the demo doesn't end up sucking really bad).
On that note, I wouldn't be so sure that you've played THIS demo. There have been a couple other demos out before (like in retail stores) but those were different than this one here that is coming out. From what I understand this is a new demo that hasn't been released yet (my understanding is it's alot like t...
I'm at a loss at how Pixeljunk Monsters didn't make this list. That game is really good. I don't think the list is quite as bad as some are making out though. Pain I don't agree with. It was cool at first, but then got boring/old after like 30mins. Flower is real cool. Beautiful game. Finally got around to getting it recently. Fat Princess is proving to be lots of fun too (even better once they get everything sorted out--it's still been proving hard for me to get online at times, and when I d...
Saints Row is a lil surprising to me. However, Smackdown-vs-Raw, I can totally see that. It's just the million mark that a game has to pass for Greatest Hits right? In that case, I definitely can see it. As much as wrestling is looked down upon, you (if you're an 'outsider') would probably be surprised at how popular it is. And there are lots of fans that buy the game each year. Being a wrestling fan myself, I can attest, there are huge numbers of people that follow the stuff. Not surprising ...
I agree, this probably is hurting there bottom line a bit. Especially as widespread these rumors have been for so long now. And no telling how much longer before the rumors come to fruition.
@Blaze
Those people that buy a console and then see the price cut come like 2 weeks later: I see no reason for them to be pissed. If they bought at some brick and mortar retail, most of them usually have some policy that ensures if an item goes on sale in the next 30days or so, then th...
VERY much agree with that. I'm tired of all these anonymous reliable sources. Everybody thinks they tack those keywords on there then it's ok and it should be taken as gospel at that point. Yet nobody ever names these sources or even gives any proof as to their reliability.
It was probably worth it if he was going to buy those two games anyways. Everybody is speculating there will be a $100 price cut. If that happens, I doubt they'll be bundled with games (at least not at first). So in the end, if he planned on getting those two games anyways, he just saved about $10-20 or would end up paying the same.
lol What insight. Here I was worried about a ps3 price cut because I just "knew" it was going to cause the install base to kick into reverse and start losing sales. Sounds crazy that a price cut would boost sales. I guess when you think you have things figured out, the world goes and turns upside down on you. Thanks for the heads up Captain Obvious.
One of you says October or November will be when a price cut happens. The other says, maybe so, but they'll announce it August 18th. Now, I'm not even going to presume to know if/when they'll price cut the PS3. But I can safely assume one thing: there is NO CHANCE IN HELL they will announce a price cut 2 or 3 months before it happens. What kind of sense would that even make? None, cause then you're just insuring you have practically no sales for the next few months til that price cut becomes ...
I never understood what the hype over this game was either. Especially with people talking like "omg this is a must-have, one of the most awesome games ever" (well, I kinda understood it from some. being as there are some of those extreme fanboys that will hype anything when it's allegedly exclusive). But for the others, I never saw the appeal of this. I'll wait til I actually see the game before making up my mind on whether it's even worth considering.

@Lagoon
What the hell are you talking about? You're sitting there talking like somebody here is saying blu-ray is about to die or something. NOBODY has said that here. I do love the contradiction though of "blu-ray can exist ALONGSIDE whatever else" followed shortly thereafter with "DVD is dead". DVD is far from dead dude. Blu-ray will eventually push it out, but we're a ways away from that at the moment.
@Pirate
I've also already 'upgraded' some ...
I agree Blaze. I didn't see the hype of the movie. Was kinda dumb. Almost in a spoof kinda way though. But it wasn't as good a movie as I was expecting. It looked good enough, just was kind of a 'meh' movie to me. And maybe it was just that I, like you, had no prior knowledge of the series so maybe something was lost on me or whatnot. Just didn't do it for me though.
@morgan
Oh I agree, there are PLENTY of movies that warrant a blu-ray purchase for a "connoisseur", not going to deny that at all. Blu-ray definitely is well beyond the capabilities of DVD. I mean I own 35 blu-ray movies at this point. Ranging from Reservoir Dogs to Gone Baby Gone to Quantum of Solace to Dark Knight to Watchmen to Wall-E. And all look really good. I was just commenting on the consumer response to blu-ray at this point. Simply stating that, while blu-ray is doi...
It is. Just the consumers haven't been made aware of this yet. Thus, they keep buying them, not realizing the media format will join BetaMax in the not so distant future (85 days, 4 hours, and 13 minutes to be precise). /sarcasm
In all seriousness though, I do think this shows the transition from DVD to Blu-ray well. Seems that all the BDs that do well are usually of high production value with style suited for really getting the best out of blu-ray (ie special effects, cgi, etc)....
@TKC
I'm not sure if your first sentence there is sarcastic, but I'm going on the assumption that it is. In which case, I totally agree with you. That was my first thought when coming into here. Why does it always have to be "multiplayer this" or "co-op that"?
Now, don't get me wrong, every once in a while I like to play online just for the hell of it. However, primarily, I am, without a doubt, a single-player gamer. Quite honestly, though, ever since a...
Do I get to go on the Showcase Showdown if I guess closest without going over? I bet $152.
lol It's already almost $80.
Well I wish somebody would give it to them then.
In an ironic twist, what would really be funny is if Tretton or somebody comes out and says "Hey Kotick, drop your prices or we're just not going to let you publish on our systems anymore". Let's see how Kotick reacts to his own medicine. What I would find even more hilarious, to further the threat, Sony also threatens to pull all Sony Music from Guitar Hero and to fully back Rock Band. That could end very very badly for...
