I haven't played the PC demo, but I am a bit eager for this game. Trine looks pretty cool. I'll be trying it out I'm sure. That and Pixeljunk Shooter are the PSN titles I'm looking forward to for the rest of this year.
When was this ever said to be like Fallout? Did I miss something? I never read/heard anything like that. Other than the fact that it's an RPG.
This game is going to be awesome though, I think. Can't wait to try it out. Really like the different paths/choices they allow you to take. Just the idea of a 'Jason Bourne RPG' really excites me.
All about graphics again. Who cares? So it may look a lil bit 'worse' on consoles if this is PC, does that really matter? It's not like it will be dramatically worse, or that it will look unbearable. The gameplay is what matters, and this looks to be fun as hell and an absolute blast.
I'm not sure what games you may be referring to. For me, games that are actually better and more fun than SOCOM (Confrontation I assume you mean) are few and far between in my book. The game is loads of fun and really provides an online experience that I haven't been able to find in any other game. The only thing I missed from it was no campaign. Looks like Operation Flashpoint is going to give me that campaign I want though. Can't wait.
It would indeed have been some very effective viral marketing at this point. Quite honestly, the thought crossed my mind before too. Not just with the slim either. Seems Sony has just had too much "leaked" especially this year that some of it (hell maybe all of it) had to be intentional. All this coming on the heels of Sony being criticized for lack of marketing as well. But yea, seems like viral marketing and intentional leaks could be a valid interpretation of recent events. Back ...
This game (after a couple reviews I read today and these videos I've seen) has officially moved to my must-buy list. This is looking awesome and I'm really psyched about it now. I've been looking for a replacement for SOCOM campaign since Confrontation was online only. And it seems (at least anytime soon) we won't be getting a new SOCOM game either. This is looking like it could be a great replacement and I can't wait.
I know. I'm impatiently waiting for that day. For one, to see all these rumors go away (for the time being at least). Secondly, cause I really can't wait to see what Sony has up their sleeve and what they have in store for us.
If all these rumors do come to fruition at GamesCom though...just...my god. It will be amazing. I'd be absolutely giddy with delight lol. It would all be a HUGE boost for Sony. Then again, with ALL the rumors that have been going around (not just the ones i...
@evrfighter and pope
Actually if we go by everything that has come to light: the ps3 cost $850 to make at the beginning, they've cut 70% off the production cost, so now it costs $255 to make (presumably the slim). So if they drop it down to $300 then they'll be making roughly $45 per console.
I just wish they'd come out and officially announce it already. Not because it matters to me or I plan on getting a new ps3 or anything like that. Frankly it doesn't effect me at all....
Like I said above, the article seems to imply he's picking only "new games" aka games that aren't sequels, so that's why I think some big titles are absent.
For me this year I'll be getting:
Batman: AA
Dragon Age
Demon's Souls
Alpha Protocol
Uncharted 2
Borderlands
Afrika
Operation Flashpoint (might get knocked to maybe list if MAG comes out)
And MAG and GT5 if they make it
Then might borrow gf's DS to pl...
@SuperM
If you'll notice in the description there it says he's listing "new games" as opposed to sequels like he mentioned. So that's why no UC2 or Forza 3 or ODST etc.
And I'll be picking up 4 of these 6. Batman, Borderlands, Alpha Protocol, and Dragons Age. Not to mention a few more that weren't on this list.
I'm not sure where you're getting your info (I'd like to know though, by all means share :)) However, I would have to pretty much agree (though I'm not as clearly confident as Johnny seems to be, like he knows something we don't), but I'd say it will either happen at GamesCom (well most likely that 3 hour press conference the day before) or TGS. Though I'm more leaning towards a release date at that press conference and then TGS having some actual hands-on with the game or something. Either w...
I absolutely cannot wait for this game. I very rarely ever buy collector's editions, but depending on what comes with this, I may end up buying the CE version of this game. Uncharted has to be my favorite game this gen so far so I wouldn't mind showing ND my support (as long as they actually pack something worthwhile with the CE).
It choked me up and almost made me cry (again--for the second time in the game) when that lil girl popped up.
So basically they're taking the branching system of weapons in the first game and applying it to classes in this game. That could be interesting. Wonder if they'll still have that same branching system for weapons then though. Either way, I'm sure this game is going to be awesome, as the first definitely was. Can't wait to try this out.
For whatever reason, I can't get that first link to work for me. That gametrailers one though..yea, something is a bit off about it, a lil bland. However, looking through the other trailers they have on it, I noticed an even more recent gameplay video they have for this game:

This one looks much better than that gametrailers one you posted I think. And looks mor...
I agree with what a couple others above me said. I think EA has redeemed itself a bit (maybe not completely just yet, but they definitely seem to be on the right track and are moving that way). From everything I've heard, this Madden is actually good and a great step for EA. This seems to be the time when you can't say it's just the same ol' same ol' from last year just with updated stats. Seems they are earning their pay with this iteration of the franchise. Not to mention, all the great gam...
Call me pessimistic, but with WB at the helms or overseeing it, I just have no faith in MK anymore. Just don't see the franchise returning to its former glory. Hopefully, I'll be wrong though.
I can't agree just because I haven't seen the last build or how far along the game is and how polished or unpolished it is right now. I wouldn't say that I want it to slip to 2010, so I won't shoot you either. If what you say is true though, about it truly needing it, then I wouldn't be so miffed if it did take the time it needs to be polished and good. I have plenty to hold me over til then anyways. Hell, like 5 other games I want in October alone. And actually, just the games coming in Octo...
Kind of a weak list. I'll be getting two of the games there. Batman and Uncharted. Granted they do have a couple others that are decent, but I don't own an Xbox360, so I won't be getting those. But there definitely are some that should be on there instead. Other games I'm getting:
Dragon Age
Demon's Souls
Borderlands
Alpha Protocol
Operation Flashpoint
Not to mention like dude above said (of course I won't be getting the games, but they're sti...
