I'm with you. I really bad want this to come out this year. And deep down inside, I think I'm almost fairly certain it will at this point. However, I don't want to get too excited and ahead of myself only to find out I was wrong. I think we'll hear more in a couple weeks though at Cologne. If not a release date then, I'd say TGS will give us one. But this holiday seems like the only logical release really. It's either that or end up waiting til like summer of next year.
This is looking like it could be awesome. I'll definitely be picking this up this month. Can't wait to give it a try. I'm especially liking the puzzle stuff and detective aspects integrated in to spice up and vary gameplay.
lol Joker is awesome. I definitely can't wait to see more of him after watching this.
I think Omar was saying "sad..." in reference to NaiNai's trolling there.
That's the point though, a review should be written for people who don't know about a game. That's the whole point of a review. Well, at least don't know enough about the game. It should touch on all the pieces of the game. As for graphics, I'm not a graphics whore, so I typically don't care about that, but it should at least be mentioned in passing (maybe just not scrutinized over in such detail as they do these days--those movie reviews you mention, they don't just overlook the production q...
I feel this way too, just like Yoshida says here. It's like we're still in the launch/early adopter stage of the PS3. Hell, quite honestly, it pretty much feels that way for all of the "next gen" generation. What with the recession and all it just seems like this gen hasn't really kicked off like it should have. Sort of lagging behind (hence you hear all sides talking about how this generation will last much longer, etc). I expect this generation (and really the PS3) to start snowba...
I still don't understand how this can pass as a review. I'm sorry, but a couple short paragraphs hardly seems a review to me.
I agree with you too, Headshot. I always loved the controls, right from the start. They just felt....'right'.
I've heard Shatter IS pretty damn awesome. I think I'm going to have to end up trying it out at some point. However, Fat Princess is proving to be lots of fun as well. Especially online. Who would've thought I could have couple hours of fun just chopping down trees and carrying wood back to the castle lol.
To answer your question though, if you'll look on IGN there, you'll notice someone left a comment there who is seemingly part of IGN. They said that Fat Princess wasn't includ...
Yea, just the first Uncharted and CTR alone put ND way up on the list for me. I think though it's hard for me to decide on a number 1. It is definitely a debatable subject. And honestly, in the end, that is just even better for us gamers. It's a win-win situation for us. Pretty much every one of these developers have legitimate claims for that top spot.
I agree Pyro. Nothing wrong with Confrontation. Once it was patched up, the game was great. I still love it. Very good game. I don't think Slant Six dropped the ball there. The only thing that really disappointed me was there was no single-player SOCOM (which is what I really wanted), but I'm not going to hold it against them when it was intended to be online-only.
^No kidding. How does something like this get approved? That is some very VERY poorly written work there. I'm not going to argue the speculation (which is what it is, no real support to his claims), I could see Zipper extending the MAG world though, but this is so poorly written I could barely read it at times and would have to re-read a sentence a few times before understanding. And the author expects me to take his word on this when "sources remain undisclosed" when he couldn't wr...
^Exactly dude. Those were the days. Now just imagine how 'wild' it was when we revisited those times back when I moved out for the first time. Still wild and young, out from under parents' supervision though (of course that was more the CTR run there, but we definitely brought Mario Kart back for that). Ah, such good times. Of course that 'revisit' time when out on our own got even wilder. 10-15 wild young adults. Beers and liquor. Blunts being passed around. Plenty of sh*t talking. Of course...
Yes, I use L1 to lock on to the target. I didn't mean like I'm not hitting them or anything. Just that it seems like the 'recoil/reload' time before my next strike seems longer. Like some of the ones I fought against seemed to be able to get in like 5 strikes in a second, whereas most I can get in is like 2. But it's not that big a deal, I was kinda half joking about it really.
@Vecta
I totally agree. I finally got online a couple hours ago (was having those issues before) and just got done playing it. First thing I thought was "this would be so much easier with a listing instead of just putting me into a game".
@Sigh
Granted really all I ever play online is Socom, and some KZ2 (which has server list if I'm not mistaken as well--been a while though), also dabbled in a couple others. This is actually the first time I've ever played...
I'd agree that split-screen is mandatory. I don't know why all the fuss that it HAS to be 4-player though. I'm perfectly fine with it being 2 player split-screen. I can even remember back to Mario Kart (the original) and CTR days, it kind of even enhanced the party of it when it would be like 4 of us and get to sit back and battle it out, loser gives up the controller, making a lil tournament out of it, or endurance run to see how long you could go without giving up the controller. You kids a...
Huge fan of Mario Kart as well...and CTR (it would be so incredibly awesome if it turns out United Front puts a battle mode in here like CTR had...oh I'd cream my pants I think lol). I don't however think I'm looking forward to this more than Uncharted 2...maybe a couple more as well. Though I think ModNation will definitely be in my Top 5 most anticipated games that we know of right now. Hell I'd even put it over GOW3 (that might be just because I've never played the first two--will be picki...
I second that sentiment. I'm really curious to see this genre be taken further now. Be really curious to see what MM does next and if they take it to a new genre to tack that Play, Create, Share thing onto. Though I will have to say this: I don't know if it's just the "simple" nature of the game as opposed to platform design, but United Front seems to have done much better with the creating aspect on this game than Media Molecule did with LBP (at least with the user friendly aspect ...
Yea, I think LBP meets Mario Kart is how this has been described for a while now. For me, that's awesome. I'm loving what I've seen of this game so far.
I've been saying this for a while now. Something like January of 2008 it came out that Sony had cut production costs down to like $400-450 per console. That was in roughly a year since release. Now a year and a half from that point, you don't think they cut anymore off? They cut like $400 off in just a year (granted that was a bit easier to do with nixing some things in the system, but still), I'd expect at least $100 more would've been able to be cut off by now. Especially in light of the 45...
And she finally arrives....
Going to download Fat Princess now.
^Not exactly sure what "wider audience" has to do with leaving out Madden. From everything I hear Madden is going to be pretty good, and EA has actually stepped up their game with this year's iteration of Madden. Still won't be buying it as I already have a Madden, but still.
That aside, I'll definitely be picking up Batman. Can't wait to give that a try. Seems like it could be pretty awesome.
