@MissGoblin
Quit being a fanboy/troll. Seriously. Not everything Sony does has to be considered golden. I'm not in any way attacking Sony here and I'm SURE AS HELL not bringing up MS or Nintendo and implying they just owned Sony there or something. Not at all, in fact I never mentioned the two. Quite honestly, I don't care about those two. The only system I own and will ever own this gen is the PS3, so I really have no need to make a point to keep up with the other consoles' news.
@BrokenAnarchy
Yea I noticed that a lil bit ago as I was going through the rest of the news. Thanks though. So I guess that nullifies my entire wall-of-text rant up there lol. They definitely don't need to be releasing the game til it's all done and polished up, that I can understand.
Though that now makes me wonder: why in the world did PD make that comment recently about being able to release the game whenever they want?
All in all I think I got to say the press conference was actually pretty disappointing from what I've now read from a couple live blogs. No news that really wowed me. And I expected alot more from them with them being at home too.
Maybe I missed something, but....where were the new game announcements? The only thing I saw was White Knight Chronicles 2 (That was actually officially announced a couple days ago wasn't it? Just got a trailer with the presser).
I'm still ...
Agreed. The soundtrack sounds very nice. Even the trailer looks absolutely beautiful. But I won't even be considering getting this game with it being an MMO.
I want to see 14 the least, because it's an MMO and I'll pass on that. Though this trailer does look amazingly beautiful. So that leaves Versus or 13, to which I think I'd have to say Versus edges out for me. Just because Versus looks to be have a more mature spin to it. Kinda darker. And I'm really interested in seeing that play out and getting my hands on that.
I'm not entirely sure I agree or understand this decision. Well...I understand if that whole 65% done is true, like some people are saying here, but I haven't read that anywhere (granted I haven't read all the news today yet as I just got on here today). Then again PD said the game could be released at any time a while back, so not sure why they'd say that if they were only 65% done with the game. Anyways, if that's true, then I fully agree, wait and finish the game before releasing...definit...
Well yea....I think this was expected. At least I know I expected at least one other Uncharted. I actually mentioned this a while back when somebody was talking about wanting another Jak game. See this is ND's MO. Chances are very slim of seeing another Jak game (at least from ND). They always do this. Each generation Naughty Dog moves on to a new franchise. They stick strictly with that franchise throughout that generation. The same was true on the PS1 (Crash franchise), and the same with PS...
This is sounding to be really good. I think this is probably a tie for my third most wanted game for the rest of this year. Right behind UC2 and Demon's Souls and tied with Operation Flashpoint. Unless of course GT5 gets announced for this year. Then this drops to a tie for fourth.
I agree. All games have a couple problems (even if they are TINY problems) that should keep them away from a perfect score. So I don't know why people are whining about that extra .2, but what I hate is when a game is actually given a perfect score. Cause there is NO game out there that is perfect and without any fault whatsoever.
I'm guessing you were speaking hyperbolically...? I WISH UC2 was only a few days away. I can't wait for this game, it's going to be amazing I know. I feel like a lil kid on Christmas Eve waiting for this game....alas it's still a MONTH away, not just a few days.
I'd have to seriously doubt you'll see another Jak game from Naughty Dog. It seems they've handed over the franchise to High Impact Games (which is partly made up of former ND developers). With The Lost Frontier game ND is even helping High Impact Games and working close with them, helping them out and sorta overseeing the project. Sorta working as mentors in a way, I guess. So to me this seems like ND is handing over the franchise to them to let them really build a name for themselves. So, I...
Not going to say much here, cause I'm trying to stay away from Uncharted 2 stuff as much as possible til I get to play what I'm sure will be an amazing game (of course, that's not working out TOO well if I'm in here huh--but trying to stay out of the hype as much as possible). I only want to comment on one thing though...
@TallTony
Actually I much prefer a game getting 9.8/10 instead of a perfect 10. Cause there is NO game that is perfect. 9.8 is much better in my opinion, ...
@Wh15ky
I don't agree with your list....like at all. But that's down to personal preference and everybody's list will be different, but.....Finally! Somebody else that uses common sense. How in the world can the best games "SO FAR" include games that aren't even out yet?
I agree soljah. I'd put LBP over R&C (which I just noticed the Ratchet on this list is Crack in Time, so once again...why are we rating games that haven't even released yet? Got UC2 on there beside Drake's Fortune too).
Indeed. I fully agree with you. This is one of those games that just has no bar to stand up to really. And it's really niche in that way. As such, it's either your thing or it's not. A sort of love it or hate it kinda deal. And for me, this looks appealing. I never expected it to be like OMG GOTY type game, but I think it should prove enjoyable. Especially for anybody that's ever wanted to take a safari...well here you are.
My personal opinion? I think you're all wrong. Top two should be Uncharted, then Valkyria Chronicles 2. Those have been my favorite two games this generation. As for exclusives, MLB The Show really has sucked alot of time from me too (though I wouldn't put that in a top 5...I don't think).
And how you going to put GT5 on that list? It's top exclusives so far. GT5 isn't even out yet, how do we know exactly how it'll stack up? I mean granted I'm sure I'll end up loving it and it'l...
@Pink
Actually the reason the game scored low was because when it came out (officially came out, not the beta I'm talking about), it was absolutely horrible with being buggy. Well, I exaggerate a bit, but it was indeed bad. I absolutely love the game now and it's one of my favorite online games, if not my favorite. However, when it came out it was indeed bad and probably did deserve those scores. What should've probably happened is probably more sites giving revised reviews once it was ...
"Now if it's still like this come January, then we have an issue..."
So very true. This game will absolutely die if they don't get this ironed out. With the possibility that this game could potentially be huge and revolutionary in a sense, they really REALLY need to get that worked out. Granted they still have plenty of time, but they really need to step their game up on this if they couldn't even handle the influx of beta testers that they had prepared for.
First off, they never include EVERY wrestler. They always leave off some of the lower tier wrestlers, and none of those people you named are big names so it's not surprising at all. Though a couple that y'all have named ARE in there.
William Regal? In there, under ECW. Jack Swagger (yes arguably one of the best wrestlers there now) is in fact on there, look under RAW right next to Cody Rhodes (lil formatting error).
As for the ones y'all named that are missing, they...
Why do people still insist on calling Uncharted a TPS? It's an action-adventure game guys! Are we that obsessed with shooters that everything has to be in a shooter category.
Seriously, say it with me....Action...Adventure. Really. It's no different than God of War.....except with modern weapons (ie guns). Doesn't make it a shooter though.
