IGN Preview? The only thing I've seen from IGN is positive stuff about this game. I for one am very much looking forward to Alpha Protocol and will be one of the ones I definitely buy in October alongside UC2.

From that list I also plan on getting Batman (it's on the way from Amazon now), Borderlands and Operation Flashpoint. Really really looking forward to Operation Flashpoint as something to fill that realistic tactical shooter role for me. Borderlands might get put off a bit...

I don't think UC2 has a chance of being overlooked, hence the reason it's not on this list. Everybody knows about Uncharted 2. And everybody knows it's going to be great.

Brownie Brown is owned by Nintendo. They've done a few DS games: Magical Starsign, Heroes of Mana, and Blue Dragon Plus. They also did Sword of Mana for GBA.

Well if it's handheld, I guess it will have no choice but to be a DS game being as how Brownie Brown is owned by Nintendo. So either Wii or DS game. Should say fairly certain it's DS though since that's all they've done is Nintendo handheld games.

Not sure that he necessary makes any good points, but the end result, his conclusion, is right. I've read where people are expecting that this will be a huge boost to blu-ray. Like this is the blow to push blu-ray past dvd. Not going to happen. Now I'm not at all trying to say blu-ray is doing bad, quite the opposite really. However the slim at $299 is not going to be some huge boost like some might assume. I've said this is the other post that was saying the price drop would increase blu-ray...

That's interesting to know. I never actually knew there was a way I could connect the PSP to my TV. Interesting indeed. I might have to look into that. I am in that same mindframe that I guess what started me against handheld gaming was that "quick cheap thrills that couldn't compare to consoles" thing. I know that's changed now, however, with my console now I have plenty enough to play as it is so I haven't really had the necessity or desire to venture upon that when I'm already ge...

@Mars Attacker
Actually, fiscal years start at different times for different companies. There's no one certain fiscal year set in stone. In Sony's case their fiscal year, yes, does end with March. So Sony's 4th quarter would run Jan-March 2010.

However, people, you're still missing the point. Sony is currently in fiscal year 2010. It goes by the date for the end of that fiscal year. They would either right it FY2010 or FY09-10. So Q4 2009 has to refer to calendar year. Thus...

Why in the world would you want to stack stuff on top of your ps3? Furthermore, why are you so adamant about apparently doing so much stacking on your ps3 that the fact that you can't is actually a deal-breaker for you?

lol Not sure about converted. No doubt I'll absolutely love this game though. The first was brilliant and amazing. And even my aversion to handheld gaming won't stop me from loving this.

Really though it's not so much a hate for handheld gaming, as it just doesn't compare to console gaming on my big screen tv. I only game at home anyways, so when I'm here I have my tv and ps3 to game on. Thus, I don't really need handheld to play and it just isn't "satisfying"(for lack ...

I really can't stand portable/handheld gaming that much (i don't know, just not my thing), but I am SOOO borrowing my friend's psp just to play this game.

Yes, you click the 'Reply' link in the bottom right hand corner of the message of the original poster in the lil chain. For instance, if somebody wants to reply to what I say right here, then they would click the 'Reply' that is in the bottom right hand corner of your reply (the same one I clicked to reply here). Just like if you wanted to reply to PS360WiiRocks' earlier reply to your comment, then you would click the 'Reply' link on your original comment there that he replied to.

Actually, I don't think it will help near as much as you may think. Why would it? I mean it would make sense if this put blu-ray player finally down into people's price range to afford one. However, the price cut puts the ps3 at $300, you can already buy blu-ray players for half that price. So all those people that have wanted a blu-ray player before, they would've made the jump already. It's not like they're sitting there looking at the $150 price tag of a stand alone going "nah, too ex...

Actually evr, if you go by your list there, then both are the same. That leaves PD putting out some form of GT game every 1.33 years and some form of Halo game being put out every 1.33 years as well. I will have to say though, in PD's defence, the Prologue's were shipped as demo's more the placate those hardcore fans who were growing restless because PD was taking such time between releases to get everything right. So PD was sort of forced to give their fans something to appease them due to t...

Actually, y'all, if we look at it, it's written as Quarter 4, 2009. This can only mean that it's coming in 2009. The fiscal year thing doesn't hold water, because if it were being released Jan-Mar, then it wouldn't be written that way. Fiscal years, are written by the year that they end. For instance, we know Sony's current fiscal year will end March of 2010. In documents they would list that as FY2010 or at least put FY09-10. April-June being Q1 FY2010 and so on. So basically, what needs to ...

Yea I'm fairly certain of that too. Figured we would've got something for GT5 at GamesCom (like playable version), then the release date at TGS.

Really looking forward to TGS to get here to see what all happens and what Sony has in store. Already this year they had a great E3, GamesCom they owned with just that Slim announcement. For their homeland, I imagine some great stuff. That release date being one of them.

Very cool indeed. I'm absolutely loving the different variations and paths that this game can take. Haven't watched these videos (and I'm not going to as I've told myself, no more! This game is too story driven that I don't want to spoil anything, so I'm done with it now), but I've seen enough to know that the possibilities in this game seems endless (hyperbole of course). I can imagine getting many playthroughs with this game just to see how many different ways I can take it.

"this is gameplay"
Hence the 'interactive'.

Did you read the preview? This clearly isn't a dig on Heavy Rain, rather it's a compliment. And interactive movie is seemingly exactly what this game is. The first of its kind. It's a testament to the level of immersion the game offers and the choices and storyline. This game is going to be absolutely awesome (as virtually an interactive movie-that's not a criticism, that's a compliment). People just automatically assume...

Create an arena would be awesome. However, I'm sold now. I haven't bought any of the last couple iterations of this game, but I'm going to get this one. I'm a big WWE fan (watching Smackdown right now lol). With this added focus to creation, I think I'm sold enough to pick up a new Smackdown-vs-Raw game now. I once said that I'd love for them to really extend the GM mode and make it much better. From what I read here they have done exactly what I've asked for. Not as detailed as TEW or someth...

"Who cares about the story just hae some random guy like in risistance1."
That's the problem with gamer mentality these days. Always wanting everything to be like everything else no matter the sacrifice. Forget the story? Hell the story is half the fun in a game like this. And you want a respected developer with integrity to just say "eh forget it, let's just wreck the story and do it all half-ass just so we can throw more multiplayer in there because everything just HAS ...

Something tells me that, with the confidence with which he says this, they have it taken care of. That might even be why they put it off for a while (and why we heard of it so long before it was announced). Maybe they were building up a stockpile.
