If this GOW collection does well, it actually wouldn't surprise me if Sony did other ps2 hits like this in the future. It would be a work around for BC, plus be a way to put more money in their pocket (since they'll sale) and I wouldn't think the upgrade could be too costly. Wouldn't surprise me really if that's in fact what they're doing here is testing the waters so to speak to see how viable an option this would be.

I don't remember anything ever being said or promised either. So Sony couldn't have lied (unless I missed something). Full-heartedly agree with both of you. In-game web browser would be a much better addition in my opinion than these other features people whine about. Would allow you to get information about a game as you're playing it instead of having to go out. Then again, even that's not that big a deal to me cause as long as nobody else in on the computer, I have the laptop here that I could look up stuff on in the middle of a game. I agree. Never did get what the big deal was about custom soundtracks. I mean if I really want to listen to my own music while playing a game I simply plug up my ipod to my A/V receiver and there I have custom music at my disposal as I game. Sure the feature could add a slight amount of convenience in doing that (if you don't have to also copy music over to your ps3 to take advantage of it). Um, I kinda doubt that. It will be a whole new BD coming out being as how they're stuffing extra content on the disc like DLC from the past and user-levels, etc. So they can't just 'recycle' the discs that are sent back to them. And I seriously doubt they'd use a second disc to put that extra content on.

I actually went to Best Buy today (picking up some movies). While I was there I ventured over to the games section. Noticed this ad campaign going on there. On one of the end pieces they had a big set-up and display going on advertising the Slim and had that "It only does EVERYTHING" tagline heading the display. Gave me a bit of a chuckle. Should be real good for Sony if they treat this like some relaunch to really get behind with some advertising.

I thought the EXACT same thing. And then on the ps3 review of the same game by the same site. All the scores are the same except sound (i think it was) was 7 instead of 8) and that ended up in like a 7.6 overall or something to that effect.

Yes, if the item is 7.99 it would only add 7.99 and then take that right away for your purchase. However, that's because there's a minimum "deposit" of $5.
