It's already been said, like someone pointed out above, that GT5 will come out shortly after GT PSP. So I seriously doubt it's coming this month. Especially since that affords it no hype time and whatnot. I really think that November or early December period is seemingly the best time for the game.
Also something here, I think this story might be a misunderstanding. Considering that date coincides with TGS (like they mentioned) I think maybe they just misunderstood. Maybe whoeve...
I'm with you. Well, not exactly. Probably not my MOST anticipated. Can't put this above Uncharted 2 or GT5 at all. This one definitely gets in my top 5 though. I'm really psyched about this game and can't wait. Should be great. A next gen "mario kart" with a touch of LBP creation in it. Just can't go wrong with that.
FF XIV isn't exclusive. I would definitely have MAG as an honorable mention though in my book. Hell, depending on my mood MAG might even fall into the top 5 for me on some days. And would beat out a couple of those on there (like Ratchet....and Versus--since I don't know much about it yet).
Eh the list is pretty good. I'm sure all will be enjoyable games to those that they appeal to. However, my list probably wouldn't look like that at all. Definitely would've taken Ratchet off for Uncharted 2. I'm glad you mention ModNation as well. Cause that game looks awesome to me and I'd probably rate it much higher than it seems the game gets credit for. Even ModNation I'd personally put above Ratchet. But you're right, Top 10 would be much better. For me though Uncharted 2 has to sit at ...
I'd expect some of those minis too. But seriously, if there are no PS3 games announced I will eat my shoe. There's no way Sony goes to their home turf and doesn't announce new PS3 games when they've been doing it at E3 and GamesCom and others. Just no way in hell. I expect this one to be bigger (or at least as big) as anything we've seen from them this year. Come on, it IS their home turf afterall. I mean that would be like MS blowing their load at TGS and GamesCom and not showing much of any...
lol This goes right along with my retort above. About the guy complaining that they should scrap the motion control games so they can make more games for "hardcore gamers". More games? I mean hell, I can't even keep up with what they have now and soon will have, let alone even more. So by all means throw some resources to those casual gamers with those motion controls. I mean yea, more games...awesome. But I can only game so much and quite honestly Sony has been bringing it relentle...
@Tony P
Exactly. It's their home turf. Of course they were going to show new games. I would've never expected otherwise. No way where they going to blow their load at E3 and GamesCom only to show up with "more of the same" when they got back home for TGS.
@cgood
That was one of my first thoughts: motion control games. We know it will be hitting next spring (or at least that's what they say) and we know they'll be bringing at least a handful of titles to sup...
I'm with you antt. The creation process was just too long and complex for me. I mean don't get me wrong, it's an absolutely amazing tool set, but I'm just not that good. Couldn't even really begin to get involved in creating too much. Became too much of a chore for me and I didn't have the patience for it. I always wanted to sit down and map out a level and all that, just don't have the patience.
With the co-op level design, seems to me like it would be fairly easy to get in eac...
@WMW
Just because they said it's not like GTA, doesn't mean it can't be sandbox. Not even close. I mean Oblivion was sandbox but it wasn't even remotely close to being like GTA. So them saying that does not rule out sandbox. In fact, I fully expect this to be a sandbox game.
@imdaboss
I agree. I don't expect anything at TGS either. E3 sounds much more likely if they reveal their first trailer at a convention.
I am excited to see what this game is about. How...
I'll actually be curious to see how far you can go with the picture-drawing bit. I mean we were shown that you draw an airplane and it will draw it then fly it around. Surely that isn't the only example of that feature. So I have been curious what other things you can draw and how much that type of interaction can be used. I mean I'm sure you won't be able to draw an assault rifle or something, then draw stick figures that it will shoot, but there's gotta be more to it.
I agree with the likes of G3tdown and Sarcasm. I'm not touching it. Demo for me is nothing more than to hook a person in and convince them to buy the game. Well, I don't need no demo for that. I'm already 100% hooked and committed. This will be bought day 1. Til then, I refuse to play the demo or even look at anymore trailers. I want to just wait so I can play through this epic adventure fresh. Albeit, it will be hard when I see that demo sitting there on the PSN store, knowing how bad I want...
No kidding, October is going to be brutal. I won't be able to get everything I want in October. Between Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls, Alpha Protocol, Operation Flashpoint, Borderlands, Smackdown-vs-Raw. Just way too much that I want to get. Not to mention Afrika at the end of this month. Then GOW Collection, ACII (maybe), Eyepet, and Dragon's Age in November. And to top it all off......quite possibly GT5 coming out this year. Yea, no way can I afford everything I want. I definitely know what my...
The cheapest places I've found have been Amazon and Walmart. Though Walmart is a few cents cheaper, but it also charges tax. Amazon is usually the best.

However, I've noticed that sometimes when you get closer to the release date these sites tend to give a lil bit more off with some games. Like I ended up getting Batman: AA for just $47 ...
That was the first thing that popped in my mind too (though I'm thinking it's just wishful thinking). However, if they do announce that VC2 is coming to PS3 as well (maybe they changed their mind after such an outspoken response to the PSP-only news) I would go apesh*t lol. I can't wait for VC2, and hearing that it would be coming to PS3 would just make my day.
I couldn't find it on the Hong Kong account. Tried there first so I wouldn't have to create a Japan account. But I didn't see it anywhere on the Hong Kong one (unless I just overlooked it somewhere, though it would've had to been in some odd location for me to do that) so I did in fact have to create a Japanese account to get it. Sorry, was hoping the same you were. However, if you do a google search for creating a Japanese account it's fairly simple and pretty quick to set up.
As for the Afrika theme it's a video that runs on a loop, yes. How long? I can't be for certain, just turned off my PS3 and not turning it back on just for that. But the loop was just like a minute or so it seemed.
Yea I'll definitely be picking this game up this month as well. It'll be my one game for this month before the onslaught of games I want in October. Should be a fun change-of-pace kind of game.
I haven't downloaded the theme yet (I definitely will though), so I can't make a comparison. However, I can point you in a direction so that you can see actual gameplay videos of Afrika so that you might make the comparison yourself (HD videos too).

Scroll down a lil ways to get to the Gameplay section. They have several there, and a few that also have HD versions.
I don't know where you got that $15 from, but you're wrong. The game will be $40, or you can buy the bundle which includes the PSEye for $60.

This stuff is really d@mn cute. I hate it for making me say that lol. Doubt it will be first day buy for me or anything, but I will get it eventually. Just got too many other games to buy this year to ...
I know how you guys feel. Both money and time are too short to get everything I want that's coming out. Already had enough as it is, now with the announcement of this collection I have to get it too since I haven't played GOW games yet and want to get them in before 3 comes. So now I got this to add on top of UC2, Alpha Protocol, Demon's Souls (which I'm betting will be a huge time drain), Operation Flashpoint, Dragon's Age (another big time drain)....and well, a few others as well. Too many ...
