I have like 500 physical games on my shelf from Xbox 360, Xbox One, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, DS, 3DS, PS4, PSVR, Vita and maybe twice that many digital games, be they indies, digital exclusives or virtual console.

It's a serious problem when 80% of them I've never beaten, and half of them I've never even started!

Just play DKC Tropical Freeze if you're itching for some Donkey Kong Country action in modern graphics.

I own a PSVR, and love it.

But just outselling two other failed devices and being "market leader" isn't enough.

It's like being the tallest midget in the room. Congratulations you outsold 2 devices hovering at 200k each. That means PS VR is finally crossing half a million.

Congrats? I can see all the publishers will be lining up for miles and miles to make games for a platform with half 1 million players

I say go for both!

If gaming is your hobby, you really need BOTH a PlayStation/Xbox (whichever floats your boat) and a Nintendo, otherwise you're going to miss a lot of great games.

With PS4 Slim Uncharted 4 Bundles for $202 today (see Slickdeals) and a $250 launch price for Switch, anyone but the unemployed can afford both with ease.

VR is the only way I'll play this game. It's just too cool not to.

What did they do to her mouth expression? Seems ripped straight from the 3DS in game model instead of the sprite artwork.

Come on US preorders. Might even get 2 of these babies if they're just $249 each. Or maybe just buy a spare dock for another tv.

I'd love to see Nintendo do a collab with MS, a Mario crossover that releases on both Switch and X1.

That'd be pretty awesome

Fantastic article,

Was really intrigued by his opinion of Switch, Fallout in VR and not caring about sales- just wanting to make a great experience, and how consoles are becoming more like PC's where the hardware is updated but you don't lose your existing library.

One of the few interviews that held my interest from start to finish. Such a genius creator.

Zelda and Pikmin look good too. I love Pikmin. Gosh Pikmin 3 was so amazing.

Heck ya!

I'm tired of this small, sub-HD, cheap screen Pokémon experience. Don't get me wrong I do love Sun and Moon, but it's time.

Oh it's definitely time.

See this is why Mario 64 was so great.

I sure hope this new 3D Mario on Switch is a return to form. I hear it's going to be like Mario 64 or Galaxy. Which is a great sign.

Finally.

Idk which wait has been worse- Final Fantasy XV or Zelda Breath of the Wild. Glad to see we're close enough for the date to start leaking.

Oh, I loved that SpaceBall game in VR Worlds and this sounds similar. I'm interested.

Lol Itagaki is always stirring the pot...

But he's not wrong. I do believe VR is the real reason behind it. Not to say we can't enjoy some benefits on the side though, like 4K resolution and better performance.

Well I'm not happy about the pre-existing assets for Skyrim mods, but given this is Nintendo and it's fully playable on the go, I can't really complain. I've got the X1 version for full external asset mod support anyways.

Very true.

I, for one, will be there day one supporting these games. I do hope others stand up for the games they say they want. If people don't support these games then I don't want to hear any bitching- not a peep- the rest of the generation when 3rd party publishers pull out

I like my PS4 Pro, but I almost feel like Sony jump the gun, cause Scorpio's gonna be a monster.

That's OK though because I was itching for some 4K gaming right now. The Pro provides me with that, and I can just get the higher tier console next year.

This TV cost $900.

Yet the Hisense I just bought for $499 scores neck and neck with it. Even scored BETTER for gaming overall. It's tit for tat really- the Sony has better viewing angle but the Hisense has better blacks with a contrast ratio of 4150:1 vs Sony's 990:1

Neither are "true HDR", though they can both interpret HDR10 to a traditional rec709 color space (neither have wide color gamut).

Good deal for sure, but that Sony TV has wide reports of the wifi cutting out spontaneously. If you manage to get a working set then you'll score huge, but just be aware of the risk.
