This is good news. There's so much more to it than just "hubba hubba, grunt chortle grunt, need power"
There's how easy it is to develop for. There's resolution and power weighed against battery life and portable capability, there's price, functionality, games...
So much more to talk about, to think about, to discuss... than just " it better be this powerful and if it's even one smidgen less than PS4 it's automatical...
So I'm thinking the handheld should be 720p to conserve battery life. However, if they used 1080p and simply had games run at 720p on it, but let Netflix and the menus and other apps use 1080p, that would work too.
I have a PSVR, and it's 1080p split between two eyes. So if Switch can rock the 1080p, they could sell a $50 visor add on the Switch slides into, and you'd have a complete VR setup for $300 TOTAL. It wouldn't have quite the power of PS4, but if t...
Nintendo is standing by their principles of not ripping people off with microtransactions.
But if people wanna whine and cry because they WANT to be nickel and dimed, I say let em!
Go ahead Nintendo, nickel and dime the livin *** out of people. It seems to be what they want, and you'll make way more money too. So screw em. People are too stupid for their own good.
Just be sure to keep that "pay up front for everything" as ...
Gotta disagree with you there.
I love Final Fantasy XV. And that's coming from a Sakaguchi fanboy who thinks Lost Odyssey, The Last Story, Blue Dragon and Final Fantasy X are some of the greatest JRPG's ever made.
It's different, but it's good. Only criticisms I have are A) camera needs improvement B) sidequests could use more variety. But aside from that, zero complaints and all praise.
Sounds amazing!
Stamina bracelet? Do want. New outfits? Outfits mean different stat buffs! AP gains for battle ranking? Oh DEFINITELY want! New game+ ? Won't come in handy now but surely later.
Bring it on.
Preach it deadfrag.
Idk why some gamers want to defend this... why????!!! Why would ANYONE be ok with forcing an online connection for single player? Optional is fine. But forced?
I refuse to buy any game that forces a connection. And I don't think I'm alone. Morons just blindly throw money away.
It's simple really. If it's a single player mode, it needs to have an offline option. Period.
Not really. 3DS is a pocket device with clamshell dual screen design for protection and ease of safe portability.
Switch is designed more as a console/high-end handheld (very high end handheld).
I think there's still a market for cheaper, pocket gaming devices they can take advantage of as well, though I think they should give Switch some breathing room first
Idiots.
Guess it's "sexist" for Mario to be a plumber with facial hair. Cause ya know, not all guys do hard labor and embrace their masculinity (same bunk argument they're using here, the opposite way)
It's $10 and then NO MICROTRANSACTIONS, it's $10 and NO COOLDOWN TIMERS.
$10 and you're done. DONE.
How is that a bad thing? Especially given it's an actual Mario game, which I'm sorry, but IS actually the best runner on mobile (by leaps and bounds). Don't even try to say there's better cause there's not. Even Rayman, with all its cooldown and micro transactions, isn't as good.
I unlocked Toad but I wanna play as Luigi, Peach and Yoshi too
Game is more than worth $9.99.... and, it's probably the best mobile game I've ever played. Seriously this game is mint.
It's got 6 Worlds, 4 levels in each world. So 24 levels total.
Its only 1/6 the price of New Super Mario Bros U, and has more than 1/6 the content. The game is fairly priced- math never lies.
This I'm ok with. It's not cancelled, it's switching from a dead platform to one just being born. That's fine. In fact, I wish this was the case for all end of lifespan Wii U games.
It's straight up cancellations that anger me. That's a totally different thing though.
I never win stuff like this. But I'll check anyways.
That's great. But does "crushing HTC and Facebook" suddenly make 700k install base a good thing? Does it suddenly mean we're gonna get a ton of games?
I can see it now. All the publishers will say, "Hmm, should we develop for PSVR? There isn't even a million units sold..."
"Ya but they're crushing Facebook and HTC"
"Oh, well in that case, of course we should make games for PSVR!"
...
"Who in his right mind would buy this for the single player"
I was going to. And judging by the comments a whole lot of other people too.
It's like no matter how much it defies common sense and logic, people just love to defend senseless decisions. "Well it's got a lot of multiplayer modes, so that makes it ok to force an unneeded internet connection when you're not even playing online" Ya, it's an Ubisoft game. They c...
You've got it wrong.
I love Ubisoft ( although that's quickly changing with decisions like these). I don't want to hate or enjoy it. Nobody cares if an online game forces online.
But you're dodging the point because the issue is with the single player. I don't care if the game has 67 online modes, that does not justify forcing online for single player.
It's Ubisoft... people just like to defend
That's not the issue.
No one is complaining about a persistent online connection for the online portion of the game.
People are upset about the persistent online connection for the SINGLE PLAYER portion of the game.
Well, say goodbuy to a sale from me.
It's almost as if they enjoy throwing away money.
"Should we force an Internet connection for a single player game and alienate millions of gamers who don't want to depend on the internet for a solo experience?"
"Absolutely! That sounds like a splendid idea!"
I just need an emulator capable of playing it.
I have every Fire Emblem ever created in English. In fact, I have 12 of 14 entries on 3DS, in English. Obviously the GameCube and Wii entries can't run on 3DS.
The PSX emulator runs some games but they stutter and are half speed. If only it would run Tear Rig Saga, my FE collection would be complete.
And btw, why doesn't this dude make a new one already. Fire Emblem is hot property ...
