It was disappointing in some respects, absolutely amazing in others. Basically how Nintendo always is.
I'm thinking they're holding back though. There's a lot of games we know are coming or are rumored to be coming that they didn't even mention. Not a peep about GameCube VC which should be there day one, etc. So I'm optimistic.

I like the PS4 sized case.
But, this kind of reiterates that Switch is indeed a home console as much as it is a handheld. Moreso, even. Console games, console game cases, console tv play, separate console controller sold separately, etc...

Had this been a new Nintendo game people would have praised it to high heaven. It wasn't perfect but, it's a really good game, especially for $40.
The controls ruined this game for me.
Shadow of the Colossus was a PS2 game, and yet I would have much preferred to use those controls. There's really no reason controls should be this bad in 2016-2017. I just don't get it.
I had no issues with AI like some people claimed, no issues with anything really. Except the camera. The camera is just atrocious.

I mean, I have my Wii U modded and it runs all my GameCube and Wii from SD card. Best of all they run natively, and native Wiimote support for the Wii games.
I do uses Dolphin on my PC though. Which is probably more powerful than my PS4 Pro (though not by much, it's kind of geared towards emulation with less cores but higher clock speed)

launched at same price as Switch and it's sold 60 million units and counting. And Switch is infinitely more awesome than 3DS.
You look at Zelda Link Between Worlds on 3DS, then Zelda Breath of the Wild on Switch, and it's easy to see how how much more you're getting for your money. Not to mention it'...
I'm glad Beyond Good & Evil 2 is getting a physical release on Switch, I hate buying retail games digitally.

Because people in the west only buy what's popular, and Final Fantasy (good as it may be) is the west's token JRPG. There are far better JRPG's (Lost Odyssey, Dragon Quest, Xenoblade) yet they all struggle just to crack 1 million sold. Dragon Quest still does good numbers in Japan though.
People complaining about ports they've apparently "already played", which means they have another console, then in the same breath complain about wanting AAA, games they can ALREADY PLAY on the console they've played all those ports on.
Ya, there's some shortcomings for sure, like paid online, but let's face it that's how all consoles are. At least it will have voice chat, and playing SNES games like Fatal Fury Special or Killer Instinct online...
