Got 2 copies in the mail and on the way!
Scheduled vacation for tomorrow as well. It's gonna be a Mario Maker weekend!
I also have to disagree. You weren't moving your body all sorts of ways with the motion controls. Like most every other game that implemented them well, you simply played using the Wiimote and Nunchuk as a normal controller, while also slightly moving your wrist from time to time to aim the cursor and pick up stars.
There was no flailing, moving about or any of that jazz. Just good old fashioned controller support, with the added benefit of your wrist-aim to accomplish mo...
There are legit criticisms.
I own the game- bought it day one. And it's AWESOME!!! I love it!
Nonetheless, the ending apparently blows, the game has been impregnated with microtransactions and there's a lot of grinding in the same areas. Not to mention the fact the dialogue has mostly been relegated to optional cassette finds.
So the game can be awesome and still subject to legit criticism. To ignore these flaws does not do anyone, or...
Why so invested in who sells more?
Pikmin 4 ftw!!!!!!!
Agreed. I don't use them personally so it's never affected me, but I know a lot of people would use it. Hopefully NX will add some of these smaller features.
Most overlooked, under rated Wii U games
1) Rayman Legends
2) Wii Sports Club GOLF (just the golf, it's SIM-perfection)
3) Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
4) Splinter Cell Blacklist
5) Sonic Racing Transformed
And the most overlooked, under rated indie game, would be Armillo.
My problem is none of the above. I play anything, of any genre, as long as it's an exceptional game. I love JRPGs and indies.
Thing is, I just don't like any of the ones on Vita. Oh I love JRPG's, but most all the ones coming out on Vita are a waste of time. Same for the indies, although I think the indie selection is a little better than the rest of what it offers. Unfortunately, when it does get a good indie from time to time, it's usually on every other pla...
I love Black Ops 2 on Wii U. The gamepad is perfect for playing with a friend and each getting a separate screen. Wiimote option is also very much appreciated.
In fairness there are a lot of other great games to play- you don't have to play the bad ones if you don't want to.
I don't think anyone here is going to argue that this is a great game.
However, just because a game isn't that good doesn't mean it deserves 1/10 scores and 3/10 scores. it's become a race to the bottom to see who can dish out the lowest score for this one. It's not professional.
Judging by Japanese reviews (Famitsu scored at 7/8) and user reviews (Amazon JP, Miiverse, etc) it's safe to assume that this is a mediocre game, but not h...
Your comment makes perfect sense and the fact that almost everyone here unanimously disagrees with you just shows how most people here allow their unnatural adoration of Playstation to cloud any shred of rational judgment.
Yes you are exactly right. More content does NOT equal better. In no way, in no world. From what I've read from multiple reviews the common running theme is that the game has horrible pacing and no cohesive progression. Also, the lack of a PS4 camera f...
I'm genuinely disturbed by your comment.
Lol this thread.
All the Sony fanboys say that Microsoft has less games and the worse console, and all the MS fanboys say Sony has a worse lineup and the worse console.
Gosh dang people all you do is put down the other console (you know, the one that's NOT your favorite)
A real gamer, even IF Sony had a better lineup, would come in here talking about how excited they are for the coming X1 lineup. Because games matter more than loyalties, ...
Love Renegade Kid's take on retro indies. He's covering all the big genres- Mutant Mudds was a fun little platformer, Xeodrifter is a great Metroid-like adventure, and I can't wait to see what he brings next.
The only one of his games I'm not keen on is Moon Chronicles. It was decent enough, but way too average in a sea of average games.
Eh, it'll release soon enough.
I'd rather have a more polished and better translated game that I can go back and play 20 years from now than have a cheaper version of the game just so I can play it a few months earlier
@nus
He's not making anything up. It's true, Nintendo games are tied to your Nintendo Network ID (NNID), and THAT is tied to your account.
All the disagrees on this earth won't change the fact that that's the truth of the matter. The more people disagree the more it shows how ignorant members on this article are.
@BVFTW
The system in place last generation is no longer the system being used. The Wii actually did have games tied ...
Of course they're not going all digital. This is either a Wii U mini, the handheld portion of a console/handheld hybrid, or a patent that will never see the light of day.
Come on now, we all know very well Nintendo is not going to make a disc-less console. It's fun to speculate but we all know it's not going to happen.
But for the sake of argument let's pretend it didn't happen. I would absolutely hate that. I HATE buying full release game...
Stop it...
What this probably is:
A) Wii U Mini ($149 - $199, Download Only, Pro Controller instead of Gamepad)
B) Handheld portion of a Fusion-esqe hybrid- optical drive is on main console
What this probably IS NOT:
C) Disc-less NX console- Nintendo knows the fanbase likes physical, let's not be ignorant here
Man I want that LE. Please oh please let us see an LE in the west! Art book, soundtrack, all that jazz! Xenoblade X style!
