But do bear in mind that's just your perspective- it's easy to point out everything Nintendo platforms don't have, but if you try half is hard to acknowledge what they do have, you might spend a little less time complaining and a little more time playing great games.

Last I checked Nintendo still has 50+ million 3DS units sold, wouldn't say they're "failing" because of one platform any more than Sony is failing for the Vita.

Nintendo has stated they're not even going to TALK about their next console until next year some time, much less release it. They just confirmed Zelda U IS COMING TO WII U next year. We're not getting a new Metroid Prime 4 this gen. Yes I know it sucks and I'm as disappointed as you.
But since when do we let disappointment stop us from playing a fun video game? Avoiding Federation Force isn't going to make Metroid Prime 4 magically appear.
And if you were REALLY a fan, you would still be excited for this game. You would at least be willing to give it a try. The worst kinds of fans are the ones who have a narrow minded expectat...
Everything? The 3DS announcements were gold. Not sure what your standards are but 3DS is swimming in awesomeness right now.
New Wii U announcements were pretty lackluster. But, I think that's because they had announced so many games ahead of their time and they're all releasing in the next 6 to 9 months. Which left them with very little to reveal this E3that we didn't already know about. Doesn't make the games any less exciting to play though.

I still can't wrap my mind around random Internet comments saying the gamepad is a gimmick, most likely by people who have never even held one in their hands. What part about extra features is a gimmick? It's okay for the PS4 to have Gyro controls, accelerometers, touchpad, but I controller that actually has something useful like a second screen... Star Fox looks exactly how I always imagined it would look if they ever decided to return to the series following the beloved design of StarFox 64.
