Dude, I like Vita too. Bought mine day one, and even replaced mine recently over a small scratch. I value my Vita.
But dude isn't wrong. Just because you can rattle off a few mainstream launch titles doesn't mean the device isn't currently in life support, and the only reason it's not 6 feet under yet is because of Japanese games most rightfully deem as weird.
Now look, I'm as excited for Legend of Heroes as the next guy, and it's grea...
I find that comment not only insulting but ignorant as well.
Is 3DS a great system for kids? Absolutely!
Does that mean it's ONLY for kids? Absolutely NOT.
Games like oh, let's see...
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
Fire Emblem Awakening
Zelda Link Between Worlds
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D
Kid Icarus Uprising
Are some of the best games on ANY platform, be it handheld or console....
Awesome- so glad this is coming to Wii U
You don't. You use it as a supplement. Like Mario Maker- how much of a pain would creating levels be without that screen? Or Xenoblade X- how much would it suck having to pause the game every time you want to look at the map or use Frontier Nav? Or Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate- how would you like having 50% of your precious TV screen real estate taken up by maps, health bars and the like? Or Splatoon- how do you pause the game to view the map in a live MP match? Or quick jump on demand?
I don't know why so many gamers are so stubbornly against any new push forward or innovation in playing.
10 years ago, a 2nd screen built right into the controller was something people only dreamed of. But now that it's here, people relegate it as a worthless "gimmick".
I assure you there is nothing gimmicky about a screen. After all, you need screens to interact with VIDEO games. Having an auxiliary screen to supplement the main screen is a...
Judging by the overwhelming disagrees, it seems most here are perfectly ok with getting shafted by Sony after investing hundreds of dollars into their hardware.
As a day one Vita owner, I'm right there with you. Sony has more than proven their willingness to leave the consumer high and dry at the first onset of commercial struggle.
A mistake I will not be repeating any time soon.
Press X in the Ground Gear menu to access fashion gear. You don't have to sacrifice stats to run around Mira in style!
Focus on leveling up your Mechanical Field skill before Biological of Archaeological. Not only is it the most widely used but you need it for installing data probes on FrontierNav.
There's my 2 tips
Saw it was sold out on BestBuy.com. Guess it's selling a little better than they anticipated, of course I'm sure they limited stock quite a bit in anticipation of low sales.
Got my copy, and I'm surprised at how fun the game actually is. The way people made it sound it was gonna be the worst game of the year. It's no masterpiece but, it's not half bad.
No of course his career isn't over. Devil's Third went through development hell. And tbh, it's not nearly as bad as people made it out to be. Think reviewers were just laying into it out of spite for his comments about "lacking skill". It's not a great game, but it's not bad. It's really not.
This game is crazy fun and super addictive.
And this is like, this highest reviewed indie game since Shovel Knight I think.
Really great game.
Still can't touch the almighty F-Zero GX though
Ya well, I'm all for great games finding their way into as many living rooms as possible, but Xenoblade is a Nintendo-owned 1st party franchise. Just like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, etc. So it will remain another one of those great games you have to own a Nintendo console to play.
But seriously, do whatever you have to do to play this game. If you gotta buy a Wii U, go buy one. If you can find a way to rent the console for a week (do video stores still do that?), or...
People so worried about Wii U success.
Forget all that nonsense, just enjoy the games. Even if it's just 3 or 4 big games a year and nothing else- if they're as good as Splatoon, Mario Maker and Xenoblade X, that's more than enough to make me own one.
Speaking of Xenoblade X- gosh dang that game is amazing!
Almost 30 hours in, just started Ch. 5. Taking my time doing affinity missions and planting data probes
At what cost though?
Even at the cost of paying $180 for what was a single game? Not to mention DLC for each one, looking at upwards of $300? But hey, we get to play it sooner and it's more polished! Yay!
In that case, let's just petition every developer to split their games into 3, because like you said, "we'll get to play it sooner and it gives more time for polish".
An excellent justification for paying $200-300 for w...
That's hogwash.
Gamers want it because they don't believe in SJW nonsense taking games away from them. Nobody likes fascist censorship and arbitrary regulation. "This is what you're ALLOWED to have. If you don't like it, well you can just import it or, grab it digitally on the store".
No, that's unacceptable. First of all, gamers shouldn't HAVE to explain why they want a game. And they certainly don't need people like you...
Sorry to hear it.
As good as this game will be, there are more important things in life. I'd say you made the right call.
One of those was me mistakenly hitting the wrong one lol. Meant to hit AGREE. Totally and utterly AGREE!
I certainly don't regret it. Far from it- There's at least 10-20 of my fave games this gen on Wii U. If a person doesn't like it, that's fine. Do you. But, I think a good many people do themselves a disservice by automatically writing it off.
I think people haven't given the GAMES a fair chance. They write the system off because of power, or name, or because Nintendo. But in the process they cheat themselves out of so many games- games that can make you fa...
I own both a Wii U and Vita. And a PS4, Xbox One and 3DS.
And objectively, Wii U craps all over the Vita.
I'm sorry bud, but this year, I got Splatoon, perhaps the single greatest and freshest FPS since the dawn of gaming. I got Xenoblade Chronicles X- the single greatest game I've played this generation, no contest. I got Mario Maker, a fantastic game most have been dreaming of for the better part of 2 decades. I got Yoshi's Wooly World, one of t...
