Looks fantastic
Ya, one way or another people WILL find a reason to ignore Nintendo's platforms of games.
It's like, why? You like video games? Ya? Well ok then! Stop monkeying around and see what you've been missing!
I'm looking and seeing just as many disagrees for you.
Besides, it's foolish to assert that "you're right and he's wrong" based off 2 agrees in an article comment section
This game is actually a sleeper hit.
It's FANTASTIC! Everything that makes Monster Hunter great is in this game with none of the "perceived" negatives. And I say perceived because that's all they really are.
And the storyline is actually pretty competant. It's engaging in a Japanese cartoon style kind of way.
Look, the Vita is not a bad system. The analogs suck and the forced touch controls (on both screen AND rear touchpad) are curse, but the system is not bad by any means.
It's the $100 memory cards (even now years later, a 64gb has to be imported and still runs you $85) and complete lack of quality software that did the system in.
Looking at 3DS in comparison, why is it a great system? Well, despite only having one true analog, it's actually much better...
I love Platinum Games, especially when Kamiya is behind the wheel. Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 were choice, and Transformers Devastation looks the part as well.
Surely Scalebound will be every bit as good as I'm hoping.
There is no "go to" console.
There are games everywhere, all different kinds, for all different kinds of people. Some like realism, a good storyline and guns, some like charm, art style and skill-based gameplay, some like a bit of everything.
Which is why it's good we have different consoles on the market offering different games (and different TYPES of games).
For me, Wii U is my personal "go to" console. And the 3DS...
Agreed. Miamoto and even Iwata (rest in peace) used to love going around and playing Vita games and stuff at E3.
Reggie just needs to lighten up. But I do respect the man after reading about that boy with a life threatening illness that wrote a letter or something, and he brought him to NoA and played Mario Kart with him, which was pretty cool.
No, not "tack it on"
MAKE it a focus. Lol/rofl/hahahaha pfft.
Yep.
Going to cancel preorder now.
[Jaw dropped]
Woah is right. A BIG woah.
@superchiller
"not a system seller"
And... So what if it isn't? Do you only buy and play "system sellers"?
"Too late in Wii U's lifespan"
It's less than 3 years old. But even so, it's NEVER too late to get great games.
"Wasn't built to deliver current gen content competitively"
IIt was built to provide fun gaming experiences. And it does a fine job.

Maybe when you own a multibillion dollar company and are injecting that kind of cash into the economy, you can get nice little tax breaks too. I'm pretty sure those tax break offers are equally on the table for anyone responsible for stimulating the economy to that degree.
Unless of course you'd rather hike tax rates for our corporations and drive them off to India. But hey, at least then you can sleep at night knowing some Joe Schmoe you've never met wasn't giv...
Who cares. People need to man up and stop acting like a bunch of children every time a game gets pushed back a few months. This is the real world and things aren't always hunky-dory perfect and on time.
Almost every single game in the industry gets delayed at least once, sometimes 2 or 3 times. And this wasn't even a major delay, just a slip from Q4 to Q1.
Not saying you have to like it but you'd think- considering this is almost the norm- that p...
If a person thinks that's the only game worth owning or buying a Wii U for, I'd have to seriously question whether they even like playing video games in the first place.
Oh come on.
The co-op was never part of the original vision. The only reason it was included is because, well, they had to come up with SOMETHING. Point is it never would have existed otherwise. It's not like they stripped it away from the game so that they would have something for an Amiibo unlock.
They made a complete and robust package- a fully realized vision, and then some. Just look at the mountains of DLC we're getting- for free at that.
Um, I love Dark Souls just like I love Monster Hunter, but From Software is the LAST group of devs to contribute to the evolution of difficulty.
In fact I think it's quite the opposite. They need to take that "no pause, unfair, undodgeable " crap, burn it and scatter the ashes. I like hard games. But I don't like unreasonable or cheap difficulty. And not allowing pausing, that's cheap. There's no defending that crap. Take a cue from a game that does ...
Million sellers are still considered niche?
Neither Pikmin nor Metroid is niche. They're not mega blockbusters but certainly not niche.
And I want Pikmin 4 just as bad as I want Metroid. And you would too if you knew what was good!
They just went online again an hour ago. Might still be available. I'd hurry and check
Still waiting on preorders to go live at BestBuy for the Lionheart Edition on Vita
