I don't think you're getting it.
This IS the console. This IS the handheld. It's one unit.
Read the article.
It's basically on par with Xbox One, but as a handheld unit (that's pretty freakin impressive). Can stream HDMI to any TV wirelessly using "an evolved version of the Wii U gamepad streaming technology". And the OS is basically the same as other 2 consoles. Developers claim they "just dump the source c...
What do YOU not get about the fact this DOES WORK AS A CONSOLE, via the wireless HDMI dongle.
I would still recommend Wii U, even with its limited library. Even if you have to pick up a blast from the past bundle at the end of the generation or something- there are some incredibly fun games to be enjoyed.
I still say 3DS is better, but only because of Monster Hunter and Fire Emblem :)
It's time they made a sequel to that wouldn't you say? Idk if sales were that hot for the last one though... Idk maybe they were.
What do you think about the game so far?
I thought the first 6 chapters were rushed- that heavy impact event in Ch 6 would have carried a lot more weight with some proper buildup.
Gameplay
Best in the series. Undeniably amazing. Some of the best maps and that DLC Beach Brawl map is the toughest, most strategic map I've ever played.
Story
Decent, yet to be determined if it's better than Awakenin

I can certainly appreciate your disappointment.
With that said, I can't fathom missing out on one of the best Fire Emblem games ever made over lack of a 2nd language.
Most of the older entries never included Japanese and we enjoyed them to the uttermost regardless.
It's like boycotting your favorite restaurant because they stopped serving your favorite color napkins, know what I mean?
So pissed off PRIMA didn't release a guide for this. Every game in the series got a guide until Awakening, and I can understand why they skipped that one considering the low sales (no one could have predicted Awakening's breakout success at the time).
But now? Knowing Awakening sold more than 2 million copies and Fates will surely be a success? No excuse.
Guess these piece meal internet guides will have to do...
I dislike SJW as much as you, but you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
This game was not censored by SJW. Nitendo left out a small time-waster feature where you tap character's faces with a stylus in the western localization. Whoopty doo.
And the game is INCREDIBLE. Easily the best Fire Emblem in the series, and quite possibly the greatest game I've ever played.
This is officially my favorite game of all time.
Even better than Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate...
Some faulty logic there.
No, almost all of us value quality over quantity. But that's exactky the problem. The QUALITY of the single player is utter crap.
Arcade mode and a normal vs CPU are not "BS".
I wish people would stop acting like just because they don't care about single player content that others don't. The harsh reality of the situation is most people who buy this game will be casual players such as myself who couldn't care less about competing online.
I bought it to play the single player mode which is exactly why bought the version on 3DS and the remaster on PS4 and so on and s...
Exactly.
Yes, some Xbox and Nintendo fanboys are probably pointing and laughing, mocking the game. Sure. Just as some PLAYSTATION fanboys are in corporate defense mode.
But the low scores are mostly coming from gamers who own a PS4 and bought the game, only to their utter bewilderment at the discovery of single player options (or lack thereof, I should say).
I'm not an "Xbox gamer". Neither am I a "PS gamer" or a "...
I thought they were releasing a combo of Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls here?
Guess that's not happening now?
People should have reacted this way to all those 9/10 the game got.
Seems people have no problem when it unfairly receives a good score it doesn't deserve, but go flipping crazy when it receives a bad score thats undeserved.
Boom!
Incredible scores across the board.
There's a reason that game scored so low from users.
Cause it's virtually unplayable unless you want to play online/with friends. And when the server went down yesterday that was the final straw for me.
Your single player options are as follows:
A) train against a dummy
B) replay survival mode over and over
C) play the 3-match story mode, 5 minutes
And yet people defend this like "It's fine, o...
I regret buying this game. And I had shelled out $30 like a tool for the season pass on PSN.
I play for single player, and there's just not much there. Clearly there's a divide between "professional journalists" who have averaged an 82/100 on MC, and the actual users, who out of 300 ratings has averaged a 4/10.
I understand some people are fanboys and will blast games just to drop the score but this is extremely low. Clearly something is not...
You're right. They'd get torn a new one IF they actually split a game or charged double.
Luckily for us, that's not the case here. Luckily for us, Birthright alone is as big as Awakening. And then an ENTIRE GAME as DLC for $19.99
That's a steal of a deal, and we would be lucky if Sony and MS would be this generous with most of their games
Idiots.
They blindly accuse the game of being split up. Despite each game being as big as Awakening.
With different characters, different maps, different objectives.
People are just butt hurt and will stick their heads in the sand like an ostrich and cry foul, and there's nothing you can do to convince them otherwise. This should be one game they say.
Right. Because making sequels 3x as large as their predecessors is stan...
@WeAreLegion
I was, and I agree with @The_Infected
People act as if games can't provide entertainment if the graphical output isn't above some arbitrary standard they imagine in their minds.
People who say "if it's not as powerful as PS4 I'm not buying" as if the PS4 is some magical console where all of a sudden games become fun and entertaining, are nothing but fanboys parading any excuse they can find to label a co...
